was heckled by outraged fans at the premiere of her visual album in New York City.
Over the weekend during the Tribeca Film Festival, the Flowers songstress, 32, released her film Something Beautiful - which accompanies her recently-released album of the same name.
But while celebrating at the Beacon Theater, many of her fans started interrupting mid-premiere and heckling her because they thought she would be performing a 'concert.'
However, the event was never advertised as such and instead was described as 'an exclusive conversation' with Cyrus following the premiere of the movie, per the festival website.
Some attendees said that they heard others yelling at the former Disney star, heckling her repeatedly while she was on stage, per People - with some saying: 'We thought this was a concert' and 'We paid $800. Sing!'
Miley reportedly ended up appeasing the fans' request and started singing a cappella briefly, performing one of her throwback hits: The Climb.
After fan-taken footage went viral on social media, many more of her supporters started commenting on the moment.
Many criticized the attendees for heckling while others gushed about how Cyrus responded kindly.
She was supported by her boyfriend Maxx Morando at the premiere, and the stylish pair were the epitome of Hollywood glamour as they stepped out to celebrate before jet-setting out of the city the following morning.
The Flowers singer let her younger beau, 26, to handle their bags as they rushed to their flight out of the JFK airport following her shocking confession about her past drug use.
Morando making a public appearance with her at her premiere was one of many recent, rare appearances together since they were romantically linked in the summer of 2021.
Amid her promo tour for her music release, she recently made a surprising admission about her past.
Cyrus candidly detailed how she kept her past drug purchases hidden from her accountant.
Before she got sober, she said she would have to come up with an explanation for the purchases to her accountant.
After fan-taken footage went viral on social media, many more of her supporters started commenting on the moment. Many criticized the attendees for heckling while others gushed about how Cyrus responded kindly
On Friday's episode of The Ringer's Every Single Album podcast, Cyrus recalled: 'The drugs were the biggest cost, which to hide those from my accountant, we called them vintage clothes.'
'And so she would get these checks. That happens on touring all the time,' she continued.
Then, she admitted that her accountant would wonder about the 'vintage clothes' costs and she had to come up with excuses to her questions too.
'Every time she saw me, she'd be like, "Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?" It's like, "Oh, it's upstairs."
'"We just really want to protect it, It's really delicate. The fabric, we got to take care of it." So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year.'

Rod Stewart, 80, is supported by pregnant daughter Kimberly, 45, and lookalike son Sean, 44, as he's seen for the first time since being left 'devastated' after cancelling SIX shows due to ill health

Sir was seen for the first time since being left 'devastated' after cancelling six shows due to ill health while stepping out in Beverly Hills, just weeks ahead of his planned Glastonbury performance. The Maggie May hitmaker, 80, was supported by daughter Kimberly, 45, and lookalike son Sean, 44, as they headed for dinner at swanky restaurant Matsuhisa. Rod, who put on a brave face and flashed a smile despite still recovering from flu, wore a black velvet jacket with gold trim which he teamed with jeans and a white shirt. Shielding his eyes behind shades the rocker accessorised with a quirky necklace as he arrived in a chauffeur-driven car. Meanwhile Kimberly, who is expecting her child, showcased her blossoming bump in a black mini dress which she wore with a chic blazer and boots. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Although she has not revealed the identify of her baby-to-be's father, the model already shares a 13-year-old daughter, named Delilah, with her ex Benicio Del Toro. Her brother Sean, 44, cut a causal figure in a white T-shirt as the siblings were on hand to support their beloved father amid his health woes. Rod shares eight children with five mothers. He is a father to four daughters Sarah, 61, Kimberly, Ruby, 37, and Renee, 33 and four sons Sean, Liam, 30, and Alastair Wallace, 19, and Aiden Patrick, 14, whom he shares with wife Penny. It comes after the iconinc singer took to Instagram to announce he'd been forced to cancel another six US shows after already axing two gigs in Las Vegas earlier this week on doctor's orders. He wrote in a statement: 'I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,' 'So sorry my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon.' He also listed the four shows he was cancelling in Las Vegas and Stateline, Nevada, as well as two he plans to reschedule in California. On Thursday Sir Rod was due to take to the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, only to cancel the show 24-hours before .The hitmaker hasn't as of yet confirmed a new date. Posting an Instagram statement on Wednesday, he wrote: 'I'm awfully sorry to have to cancel my show June 5th at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. 'My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding.' Rod was also forced to reschedule his residency gig days earlier on Monday, with a new date set for June 10. He said in a social media statement: 'I am sorry to inform you that I'm not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date.' The latest set back comes just weeks of the crooner's planned Sunday afternoon legends slot at Glastonbury Festival in Somerset on June 29. He was put on vocal rest amid his mammoth One Last Time Tour, and last month seen with a sign around his neck informing anyone he came into contact with that he could not speak after his concert at Milan's Unipol Forum. It read: 'Sorry. Cannot talk. Having vocal rest.' He returned to the stage at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, three days later on May 13. The music veteran will be done with 'large-scale world tours' once he finishes this year's shows in Europe and North America. However, he has no plans to retire. The 'You Wear It Well' singer wrote on Instagram: 'This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire. 'I love what I do, and I do what I love. 'I'm fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79. 'I'd like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next – smaller venues and more intimacy. But then again, I may not...' It comes as Sir Rod is planning a mini-reunion with his band Faces when he takes to the stage at Glastonbury. Ronnie Wood, who is a close friend of the Hot Legs hitmaker and performed alongside him in the 70s, is heading to Worthy Farm for a performance. Rod himself shared the news during an interview on The Peter Crouch podcast, after he was asked whether he's kept in touch with the Rolling Stones or Sir Elton John. He replied: 'Not really, but Woody and I do a lot just recently because we are going to do Glastonbury together.' Rod was also forced to reschedule his residency gig days earlier on Monday, with a new date set for June 10 When asked why they lost touch, Rod said it was because Ronnie and Elton had quit booze, saying: 'I think they stay away from me.' Rod was tight-lipped when asked whether Faces drummer Kenney Jones will be joining them on-stage. However, the music legend confirmed in November that he had reunited with his Faces bandmates for a new album. Speaking on the Soccer A-Z podcast, Rod said: 'I'm meeting up with the last two members of the Faces tomorrow, and we're working on a documentary, because next year will be our 50th anniversary, or 60s. 'I don't know what it is, but when the faces were together, and we're trying to put out an album. So I shall be with Mr. Woods and Mr. Jones.' Rod and Ronnie have been friends since 1969 when they were both members of rock group Faces. Although the band parted ways in 1975, the pair kept in touch, with Rod serving as best man to Ronnie's wedding to Sally in 2012.

Dramatic footage from the new film captures the destruction caused to the seabed by bottom trawling. While talking to Prince William, Sir David put an open-circuit helmet on his head which lead to him telling the story about how he once almost drowned when he tested a scuba diving outfit in 1957, reports the Metro. He was working and filming clips on the Great Barrier Reef when the incident happened, the newspaper explained. 'When I put mine (helmet) on for the first time, I suddenly felt water and thought, 'this can't be right'. But by the time the water got about there (pointing to under his nose) I thought, 'I'm sure this is not right',' he said. 'Of course, you've got this thing screwed on top of you and you can't breathe or make yourself heard. I was saying 'get it off me.'' He went on to say that the director wasn't convinced there was a fault with the equipment and insisted on trying it out himself. A post shared by The Prince and Princess of Wales (@princeandprincessofwales) Sir David said: 'He grabbed it and said it was fine, but I again said there was a fault, and he put it on, and I'm happy to say, he went underwater and came up even faster than I did, because there was actually a fault on the thing', he said, laughing with the Prince about his ordeal. He talked about the destruction of the 'deep ocean floor' that has occurred since his first dive, describing it as 'just unspeakably awful'. Miley Cyrus fans fume after singer 'bullied' into singing at movie premiere

Miley Cyrus' new movie, Something Beautiful, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, but some fans were not pleased with the event as they were expecting a concert Miley Cyrus graced the Tribeca Film Festival with her presence, but the event didn't quite hit the right note with some fans. At the premiere of Something Beautiful, set for a one-day cinematic release on June 12, Miley took to the stage for a Q&A session. However, some fans in the audience felt duped, with one shouting out, "We thought this was a concert," and revealing a hefty price tag: "We paid $800." ‌ The songstress tried to stay focused amidst the commotion, even as another attendee questioned: "Are you actually going to sing?" Eventually, she gave in, delivering an impromptu rendition of The Climb while remaining seated. ‌ Miley turned heads in a stunning netted dress adorned with spaghetti straps and a daring neckline, topped off with a luxurious cream fur shawl that swept the floor. Her hair styled in flowing waves and her makeup fully on point, she certainly looked the part. Online reactions to the disruptions were critical, with one user on X, previously known as Twitter, commenting: "Oh this is not it those people should have been removed. Poor Miley a concert is cool but getting to hear your fav talk about the creative process is such a gift? ? ? ? ?", reports the Mirror US. Another chimed in with a dose of sarcasm: "The girl who spent her rent on this and felt scammed, what was her plan exactly? Assuming this was indeed a concert, will she be in the comments like 'THE BEST NIGHT EVER, so worth being homeless for!'. As if it wasn't stupid enough to put in $800 without doing any research. "These people are so trashy omg... it's a FILM festival, with a FILM premiering, and a CONVERSATION with Miley afterwards... at no point was it advertised as anything else," vented one fan. Another chimed in, "Pandemic ruined peoples manners or something. No common sense. No idea what they're buying." ‌ And another gasped: "What they did to Miley Cyrus at the TriBeCa Film Festival was absolutely disgusting. Grown adults bullying & harassing her like that and nobody cared to stop it." Miley took to Instagram following the event and was once again backed by online users. She shared a reel of images and wrote: "Sending you all of my love, to show how much I appreciate sharing the experience of releasing my visual album @tribeca together xo tonight truly was Something Beautiful. Thank you." Fans in the comments section apologised for the actions of those in the crowd, with one telling the star: "You were amazing. Also, you didn't deserve that kind of treatment. You managed all of the situation with gentleness and kindness like you always do. Proud of you!" ‌ The artist has been on a significant promotional drive since her latest album dropped. During a recent album signing, she cheekily took a dig at her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. As she autographed a record for a fan named Liam, she quipped that he was the "best" Liam. Since their split, Miley has found fresh romance with musician and drummer Maxx Morando. The pair have been together since 2021 and he even contributed to her latest album. On the other hand, Hemsworth has been romantically linked with model Gabriella Brooks since 2019. Five years post their brief marriage, Miley has not only excelled in her music career but also thrived personally. In an open conversation with Zane Lowe, she discussed her journey towards sobriety and its profound impact on her life and relationships.
