Frank Skinner marries partner Cath Mason after 24 years together
Frank Skinner has tied the knot with his longtime partner Cath Mason after a 24-year relationship.
The former Room 101 presenter shocked his Frank Off The Radio podcast co-hosts when he revealed that he and Cath got married at Camden Town Hall in London with only their son Buzz, who was born in 2012, as their witness.
"Can you brace yourselves? You'll never guess what I did on Monday: I got married. I got f**king married!" he said on the latest episode. "Don't be offended, we didn't invite anyone. Buzz was a witness. We got married not in a room but on the stairs at Camden Town Hall.
"I said to Cath, 'Will you marry me?' and she said, 'I'm not having a f**king party! I don't want a load of guests. I'm not going in a church. I don't want a ring. I'm not wearing a stupid f**king white dress.' So it went on... 'I'm not doing this!'"
The 68-year-old initially told Cath to "forget it" due to her demands. However, two weeks later, he agreed to get married "her way" and they didn't tell anyone beforehand except their son.
Reflecting on their nuptials, the TV personality confessed, "The thing that no one ever says about getting married is it's quite embarrassing. How can I put it? It's a bit basic getting married. We've been together 20-odd years."
The Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned co-host noted that he convinced Cath to wear "a flowery dress" for their big day and joked that they felt awkward holding hands and kissing in front of others during the service.
"She said, 'You may kiss the bride.' I kissed Cath. I'm not kidding you it was like kissing a reluctant employee under the mistletoe. I thought, 'You're my wife now!'" he quipped.
Skinner previously revealed last year that Cath had rejected his marriage proposals four times. He shared on the podcast this week that he doesn't know why they got married on this occasion.
"I don't know why. I just thought, 'Maybe I've got too much money, I'll give her half in about five years' time!'" he joked.

2025 Emmys predictions: best drama actor
As expected, the stars of 'The Pitt' and 'Severance' mirror their shows' battle atop the drama series category — though this time it's 'The Pitt' and Noah Wyle with the upper hand. Wyle and 'Severance's' Adam Scott are the only two performers named on all six Buzz ballots. 'Noah Wyle has come of age,' says Matt Roush of the 53-year-old star and executive producer. 'The 'ER' rookie now rules 'The Pitt' with absolute authority and shattering vulnerability. As in other categories, the stiffest competition comes from 'Severance': Adam Scott, so compelling as the emotionally conflicted Mark S.' As the voting shows, the panel is passionately split. Lorraine Ali writes, 'Adam Scott embodies the mental anguish and rage of a loyal worker who uncovers the evil intentions of his billionaire employer.' 'While 'The Pitt' was airing, I started playing the Beatles' 'Revolver' deep cut 'Doctor Robert' on a loop, subbing in 'Doctor Robbie' each time the chorus came around,' says Glenn Whipp. 'So, yes, you could say my loyalties lie with Noah Wyle here.' As to the strong No. 3 pick, Trey Mangum writes, 'We still have a bit of 'The Last of Us' left to see, but for now, Pedro Pascal is contending in the lead actor category.' The actor and character certainly cast a long shadow on the show's well-received second season. Kristen Baldwin and Tracy Brown, meanwhile stan for less-heralded work: 'Look, 'Landman' … is a crime against women,' says Baldwin, 'but Billy Bob Thornton is objectively excellent.' Brown pleads, 'I just need the Television Academy to finally recognize Zahn McClarnon for his stellar, sensitive work as Joe Leaphorn' on 'Dark Winds.' The field is so strong this year that critics' darling and Oscar winner Gary Oldman doesn't make the top 6 for 'Slow Horses.' Previous winner Lee Jung-jae, likewise, is on the outside looking in, along with big names such as Jon Hamm, Eddie Redmayne and Thornton. More predictions: Drama actress / Drama series 1. Noah Wyle, 'The Pitt'2. Adam Scott, 'Severance'3. Pedro Pascal, 'The Last of Us'4. Sterling K. Brown, 'Paradise'5. Mark Rylance, 'Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light'6. Diego Luna, 'Andor'7. Gary Oldman, 'Slow Horses'8. Zahn McClarnon, 'Dark Winds'9. Lee Jung-jae, 'Squid Game'10. Jon Hamm, 'Your Friends and Neighbors'

Road trips and monthly meetings for the Island's women's groups
The Isle of Wight's women's groups have been busy. Here are the latest submitted reports. The group had a fun evening when they held their own Room 101 game. Based on the popular TV show, three contestants must describe their pet hates and try to persuade the audience to consign them to Room 101, which according to George Orwell's novel 1984, contains 'the worst thing in the world'. The three volunteers had done some excellent background research and all put forward some compelling arguments for putting slugs, potato snacks and middle lane motorway hoggers into Room 101. The group also learnt why they disliked size zero models, Freemasons and topless men...! The scores remained level at the end of the game, but everyone agreed the evening had been a great success. Upton Girls also have a thriving craft group as well as a busy social club. They are looking forward to several theatre trips, a round the Island bus trip and a hovercraft experience in the near future. Take a look at the new website for more information about the WI, at Wootton TG's contribution to the federation competition on 'transport' in which they came joint second (Image: Contributed) Members went to the Dairyman's Daughter for the latest Lesley's Ladies' Lunch.
