Zara McDermott is 'obsessed' with £30 Ninja blender that's a 'game changer'

Daily Mirror4 days ago

The Ninja Stackable Professional Chopper is a multi-functional kitchen gadget that allows you to chop, mince and puree ingredients with ease - and it's available for under £30
Even seasoned cooks are on the lookout for kitchen hacks to slice their prep time, and Zara McDermott has just shared her latest obsession: the Ninja Stackable Professional Chopper.
Retailing at an accessible £29.99, Zara demonstrated the chopper's skills whilst making a steak ciabatta recipe in video posted on Instagram, captioning it with: "I made chimichurri in my new food processor as well (I'm obsessed with new kitchen gadgets)".
Compact enough to stash away without taking up space, the Ninja Stackable Professional Chopper offers a seamless experience in dicing, mincing, and puréeing, bypassing the need for tedious knife work. Far from mashing your mixtures, it provides a finely chopped output that can handle anything from veggies to herbs with flawless execution.
Made with Ninja's precision-engineered blades, this device gives you the perfect consistency and is complemented by two containers that snugly stack on top of each other. These pots double up as both serving bowls and practical storage solutions, and come complete with lids.
Plus, all detachable parts are fully dishwasher safe for hassle-free cleaning. You can grab the Stackable Chopper not only on Amazon but also straight from the Ninja website.
If you're looking for something even more wallet-friendly, Lakeland is offering the OXO Good Grips Mini Chopper for £24.99. In a similar style to the Ninja model, the Matte Black Food Chopper is enjoying a price cut in Dunelm's sale, slashing from £22 to £17.60 reports OK!.
The Ninja Stackable Professional Chopper has gotten stellar feedback from consumers – one Amazon customer dubbed it a: "A game-changer for quick and easy meal prep."
Echoing this sentiment, another added: "Powerful little chopper-great for everyday use!"
There was a slight gripe from a user who noted: "Well designed and I particularly like the way the chopping container turns into a storage container simply. It's quite noisy when in use, but does a good job at chopping uniformly. The only negative is that the blade is difficult to remove without spilling stuff everywhere and it's very sharp and difficult to clean."
Over at the Ninja site, a different buyer explained: "Struggle these days with chopping vegetables so after seeing this mentioned on a disability group I thought I'd purchase one. Highly recommended - does everything really easily! Be careful though - blades are SO sharp - lightly touched one in error!!"
And yet another reviewer praised: "Easy to use, great quality and easy to clean. It's really handy that it comes with two pots."

Samsung Galaxy phone drops to cheapest price with lesser-known code

Get this affordable Samsung phone cheaper thanks to this secret code on Argos Samsung has a full range of smartphones. While the Galaxy S models usually take all the headlines, the Galaxy A models offer much the same experience for a lot less money. That's why Samsung nicknames them 'Galaxy Awesome'. The great thing about Galaxy A models is the price, with the Galaxy A36 being one of the more affordable models. Not only is this phone good value for money, but Argos is running a double discount on it: the Galaxy A36 is reduced to £324.99, instantly saving £75 off the launch price, but then there's an extra 10% off. That means shoppers can get the Samsung Galaxy A36 for £292.49 on Argos, the cheapest it has ever been. To save the extra 10% you'll have to use the code 'RED10' at checkout, so remember to add the code when putting in your payment details. It's also available from Amazon but costs a little more at £399, while shoppers can also buy it direct from Samsung too. The advantage of buying from Samsung is that there are trade-in offers you can take advantage of. However, to get this much of a discount – the Argos deal saves you £107.50 off the original price from Samsung – you'd need to trade in a phone that's better than the Galaxy A36, so it's not worth it. Those looking for a phone deal that's not the Galaxy A36, then the Poco X7 Pro on Amazon is £269, saving £75, and this gamer's phone offers more power, a bigger battery and faster charging, but the user experience isn't as smooth as Samsung offers. The Samsung Galaxy A36 has a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 256GB of storage and comes in a great modern design, with IP67 protection against water, so it will be happy at the beach. It's powered by Snapdragon hardware, but here it's mid-range Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, so this isn't the fastest phone around. While it will be fine for day-to-day activities like checking emails and social media, however it doesn't have the power for a great gaming experience, which we'd urge customers to consider when shopping. Another drawback to the budget Galaxy A36 model is the display. The model has been noted to have a 'dim' display when used outdoors, something not found to be an issue on the higher end Galaxy S25 range. One of the great things is that Samsung offers 6 years of updates. That means your phone will still get the latest features and still have security updates in 2031. Samsung's One UI is one of the most popular phone experiences in Android devices, with plenty of options for customisation. There's a triple camera on the back, including a 50-megapixel main sensor, with Galaxy AI editing features bundled in, so once users have snapped their photo, it can be cleaned up using AI. The Samsung Galaxy A36 sits below the Galaxy A56 and these two devices make up the mid-range tier of Samsung phones before you get to the Galaxy S25 models above it.

Hard water can cause limescale to build up in your washing machine, leading to unpleasant odours, reduced efficiency, and costly repairs. Calgon tablets help your washing machine in four ways: They remove limescale and other harmful hard water deposits They soften water, protecting your washing machine and clothes They prevent rust They neutralise bad odours Reviewers have highlighted how effective Calgon is at keeping their washing machines in working order. One Amazon customer wrote: "Third time ordering. UK water is hard so it makes your drum in your [washing machine] smell, this helps a lot and it also softens the water for softer washing. Good value for money". Another wrote: "[I] bought a new Bosch washing machine in January 2011, have used a Calgon tab in every wash for the last 15 years and it's never missed a beat, still going strong — brilliant price for 75 tabs, can't be beaten anywhere."

Buy now pay later provider Zilch to launch first physical card

Zilch, which offers buy now, pay later for brands such as Amazon and Iceland, is launching its first physical card as part of a new partnership with Visa. The fintech, which has been named one of the fastest-growing in the UK, said it means more of its customers can make payments in stores. Zilch currently offers a virtual card, stored in its app or in people's mobile wallets, which links to customers' debit cards and means they can pay for shopping flexibly. People can choose to pay in full, or spread payments over six weeks or three months, at retailers from Primark and Asos to Just Eat and eBay. While the virtual card can be used in shops as well as online, Zilch said that nearly 80% of UK adults do not regularly use mobile wallets so having a physical card will drive more transactions. It is also set to open up buy-now-pay-later options for bigger purchases like home repairs, hotel check-ins, and car rentals. The cards will become available to its existing customers from September. The London-based company has grown its customer base to more than five million since launching five year ago and securing authorisation from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority. It reached a valuation of two billion dollars (£1.5 billion) in 2021 and was named one of the UK's fastest-growing fintech unicorns this year. Buy now, pay later providers like Klarna and Clearpay have come under new standards since legislation was introduced last month. It came amid concerns that a lack of regulation has led some of the 10 million people who use it to take on too much debt.
