Pixel Superfans invite hints at a shockingly early Pixel 10 launch
TL;DR Google is inviting Pixel Superfans to apply to attend a June 27 pre-launch Pixel event.
Last year's Pixel 9 launch was in early September, following years of October launches.
With Android 16 expected for early June, a late June/early July Pixel 10 launch feels plausible.
If you're not already a big fan of Pixel smartphones, this is the year to start changing your tune. Google's move to having TSMC produce the Tensor G5 chip that will power its Pixel 10 series has the potential to be the most impactful change we've ever seen when it comes to Pixel performance. And we're already quite excited about Android 16, which is likely just days away from hitting stable. So with the software nearly here, when can we expect the hardware to arrive? We still don't have a precise date, but a new Google teaser has that launch looking like it's coming sooner rather than later.
Google's Pixel Superfans program is exactly what it sounds like, and offers the most voracious Pixel enthusiasts a chance to feel closer to the action than many smartphone users could ever dream of. That means occasionally getting access to some exclusive events, and earlier today we became aware of a new message hitting the inboxes of Superfans:

Google invites them to apply for a shot at winning one of 25 slots to attend a pre-release Pixel event scheduled for June 27. And while Google doesn't out and say 'Pixel 10' anywhere here, there's not really a long list of alternative devices we could be talking about.
You may remember that most recent Pixel launches have taken place in early October, although last year saw Google slide things up considerably to the start of September for the Pixel 9 series. That seems to be a pattern that's continuing, from the early release of the first Android 16 previews, to the March launch of the Pixel 9a — two months ahead of the Pixel 8a's debut the year before.
As such, it's not crazy to think about a late June/early July introduction of the Pixel 10 family. We'd been kicking around August as a possibility before, but based on what we're seeing today, it feels like Google's timetable could be even more advanced.
Of course, it's possible that Google's coyness here could conceal a bigger secret, and maybe it really does have something that's not the Pixel 10 to show off. But based on the momentum we've witnessed over the past several months of Google sliding release schedules up earlier, the Pixel 10 is definitely the safe bet here. Hopefully we'll learn something a little more concrete as June gets started.

NFLPA ponders eventual NFL push for European division
The NFL has been printing dollars for years. In time, it may be printing Euros. The NFL Players Association, we're told, is preparing for the NFL to eventually make a push for a four-team European division. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, NFLPA executive director Lloyd Howell has been actively discussing the pros and cons of putting multiple teams — and more than 200 union jobs — on another continent. And there are more than a few cons. Will players want to move to London or Germany or Spain or wherever? Living in a different country introduces a host of new issues, starting with the governmental structure and continuing with the taxation system, cost of living, the potential language barrier, and more. Then there's the draft. It's one thing to tell a 21-year-old who'd prefer to live in his hometown of Pittsburgh that he's moving to Seattle. It's another to tell a kid from Phoenix that he's packing for Frankfurt. From the league's perspective, there's no evidence that a plan is in place to put one or more teams in Europe in the foreseeable future. The goal for now is to expand the number of permissible international games under the Collective Bargaining Agreement from 10 to 16. That said, this year's decision to give the Vikings consecutive 'road' games in Dublin and London is, we've previously explained, the first effort to evaluate the impact of a multi-week foreign trip on a U.S.-based team. If/when team(s) are in Europe, that's how it will go. In lieu of traveling across the Atlantic Ocean twice in a given season, teams will get their European games played during the same trip. One basic question, if the league were to put four teams in Europe, is where the teams will come from. Expansion, as to all four teams, is a possibility. Making that option more attractive is the price that a new owner would pay the other owners for a team. Right now, an expansion fee of $10 billion per team wouldn't be crazy. Four teams means $40 billion, which also means $1.25 billion for each existing owner. Another question becomes where a four-team European division would be placed. Currently, the league has four eight-team divisions. Adding four teams would result in four five-team divisions and four four-team divisions. One obvious goal, in order to minimize travel, would be to put the four European teams (and their two games per year against each other) in the same four-team division. But that division would have to be placed in either the AFC or the NFC. That would create a potentially significant burden on the other teams in the European division's conference — especially if the European division's champion wins the No. 1 seed in the conference. Then there's the reality that the three California-based teams, along with the Seahawks, Cardinals, Raiders, and Broncos, could be facing ridiculously long trips for playoff games. Likewise, the European teams could be facing the same kind of postseason travel realities. One fairly obvious solution would be to restructure the league to put the Rams, 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals, Raiders, Broncos, Chargers, and one other midwestern team (Cowboys, Texans, Chiefs, Saints, or Vikings) in two divisions of the same conference — with the European division in the other conference. Regardless, it's not just another effort to generate short-term interest and media coverage during the annual European games. Yes, the league has a habit of dangling carrots (e.g., London Super Bowl!) when it's time to move the needle in England. But it's possible that some of the more outlandish possibilities aren't simply aimed at creating headlines. In 2022, Commissioner Roger Goodell mentioned the possibility of a four-team division during a pre-London game hype session. Although he has since pivoted his focus to 16 international regular-season games, it's not an either-or alternative. It's quite possibly a stepping stone.

Girls' track and field athletes don't stand on podium next to trans athlete at Oregon state championship
A pair of girls' track and field athletes did not stand on the medal podium alongside a transgender athlete for high jump at the Oregon state championship on Saturday night. Footage obtained by Fox News Digital showed the two high school seniors, Reese Eckard of Sherwood High School and Alexa Anderson of Tigard High School, step down from their respective spots on the podium next to a trans athlete who represented Ida B. Wells High School. Eckard, in fourth place, and Anderson, in third, each finished ahead of the trans athlete, who tied for fifth place. But the two females faced the opposite direction as the other competitors received their medals from officials. The footage then showed an official confront the two young women, and gesture for them to move away. Eckard and Anderson were then seen walking away from the podium and standing off to the side. Fox News Digital has reached out to the Oregon School Activities Association for a response. The trans athlete previously competed in the boys' category in 2023 and 2024, Fox News Digital previously reported. Eckard and Anderson were praised for not standing on the podium on social media, and were even shouted out by prominent conservative activist Riley Gaines. Girls and women making symbolic gestures to protest trans inclusion in sports has become a growing trend in 2025. On May 17 at a California track and field sectional final, Reese Hogan of Crean Lutheran High School stepped from the second-place spot onto the first-place medal podium after her trans opponent, AB Hernandez stepped down from it. Hogan's stunt was lauded on social media by Gaines and others. On April 2, footage of women's fencer Stephanie Turner kneeling to protest a trans opponent at a competition in Maryland, and subsequently getting punished for it, went viral and ignited global awareness and scrutiny against USA Fencing. Oregon is one of many Democratic-controlled states that saw transgender athletes compete in girls' track and field championships this weekend, with other highly-publicized incidents taking place in California, Washington, Maine and Minnesota. The America First Policy Institute (AFPI), a nonpartisan research institute, filed a Title IX discrimination complaint against Oregon for its laws that allow biological males to compete in girls' sports on May 27. The complaint was filed to the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights, which has already launched Title IX investigations against the high school sports leagues in California, Minnesota, Maine and Massachusetts. "Every girl deserves a fair shot – on the field, on the podium, and in life," said Jessica Hart Steinmann, AFPI's executive general counsel and vice chair of the Center for Litigation, in a statement. "When state institutions knowingly force young women to compete against biological males, they're violating federal law and sending a devastating message to female athletes across the country." President Donald Trump signed the "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports" executive order on Feb. 5 and his administration has made combating the continued enabling of trans athletes in girls' sports by Democratic states a priority. The U.S. Department of Justice has already launched a lawsuit against Maine for its defiance of Trump's executive order, and the president suggested on Tuesday that federal funding pauses could be coming against California amid the situation involving Hernandez.
