Google's Pixel 10 phones will reportedly launch on August 13th

Google will reportedly launch the Pixel 10 series at a Made by Google event on August 13th, with the handsets arriving in stores a week later on the 20th. Leaker @MysteryLupin was the first to tip the launch date, which Android Headlines echoed just minutes later, adding in the extra detail of when the phones will actually reach buyers. This year Google is expected to launch four Pixel 10 phones, with a regular model, Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold. It's likely Google will announce the Pixel Watch 4 at the same event. Plenty of details about the Pixel 10 series have leaked so far. The base model is expected to join the others in having three cameras, adding a telephoto to its lineup, but will make some camera quality tradeoffs to get there. The Pro models, including the Fold, are rumored to change less, with near-identical camera hardware and designs to last year, leaning instead on an upgraded Tensor G5 chipset with advanced AI features to motivate Pixel fans to upgrade. As for the Pixel Watch 4, leaked renders suggest it'll be thicker than the previous generation, which may mean a bigger battery. Google has apparently tweaked the watch's charging tech, too, and added a couple of mysterious new buttons. It should also mark the debut of Google's Gemini AI assistant on its smartwatches, while all the new Pixel devices will boast the company's youthful new Material 3 Expressive design language on the software side. Last year's Pixel 9 series also launched on August 13th, though those phones took longer to go on sale, with the 9 Pro Fold not arriving for almost a month.

Pixel Superfans invite hints at a shockingly early Pixel 10 launch

TL;DR Google is inviting Pixel Superfans to apply to attend a June 27 pre-launch Pixel event. Last year's Pixel 9 launch was in early September, following years of October launches. With Android 16 expected for early June, a late June/early July Pixel 10 launch feels plausible. If you're not already a big fan of Pixel smartphones, this is the year to start changing your tune. Google's move to having TSMC produce the Tensor G5 chip that will power its Pixel 10 series has the potential to be the most impactful change we've ever seen when it comes to Pixel performance. And we're already quite excited about Android 16, which is likely just days away from hitting stable. So with the software nearly here, when can we expect the hardware to arrive? We still don't have a precise date, but a new Google teaser has that launch looking like it's coming sooner rather than later. Google's Pixel Superfans program is exactly what it sounds like, and offers the most voracious Pixel enthusiasts a chance to feel closer to the action than many smartphone users could ever dream of. That means occasionally getting access to some exclusive events, and earlier today we became aware of a new message hitting the inboxes of Superfans: Google Google invites them to apply for a shot at winning one of 25 slots to attend a pre-release Pixel event scheduled for June 27. And while Google doesn't out and say 'Pixel 10' anywhere here, there's not really a long list of alternative devices we could be talking about. You may remember that most recent Pixel launches have taken place in early October, although last year saw Google slide things up considerably to the start of September for the Pixel 9 series. That seems to be a pattern that's continuing, from the early release of the first Android 16 previews, to the March launch of the Pixel 9a — two months ahead of the Pixel 8a's debut the year before. As such, it's not crazy to think about a late June/early July introduction of the Pixel 10 family. We'd been kicking around August as a possibility before, but based on what we're seeing today, it feels like Google's timetable could be even more advanced. Of course, it's possible that Google's coyness here could conceal a bigger secret, and maybe it really does have something that's not the Pixel 10 to show off. But based on the momentum we've witnessed over the past several months of Google sliding release schedules up earlier, the Pixel 10 is definitely the safe bet here. Hopefully we'll learn something a little more concrete as June gets started. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ . Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Los Angeles Lakers' season ended abruptly in late April when they were defeated quite handily by the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves in five games. More NBA news: Giannis Antetokounmpo Makes Surprising Appearance at Google Event in San Francisco The Timberwolves were the better, deeper, younger and more athletic squad compared to the Lakers. L.A. had some glaring holes in its roster before the series, and they were exploited mightily in the playoffs. Nonetheless, the Lakers are expected to come back stronger with a bolstered roster led by Luka Doncic. Doncic is eligible for an extension this summer, and the plan is that he will sign it when eligible at the beginning of August. The Lakers will likely have a superstar to guide them for the better part of a decade. However, some question marks surround Doncic's commitment to staying in shape. More Photo byMany have touched on the topic, including the Mavericks, who pointed to that as one of the biggest reasons they parted ways with him. However, it seems Doncic is doing his best to turn a new leaf, at least according to Jason Gallagher, an Emmy award-winning director. Gallagher said that Doncic has major plans regarding his conditioning. "I've heard from folks thats are pretty honest... that Luka has already begun a clean slate, starting anew, in this mindset of changing a lot about himself." Doncic's conditioning and commitment to it have been the subject of discussion about being traded to the Lakers in February. That discussion only got louder once the Lakers were eliminated in the playoffs. After the Lakers were eliminated, head coach JJ Redick said that entering next season, the team must be in 'championship shape'. "I'll start with the offseason and the work that's required in an offseason to be in championship shape," Redick said. "And we have a ways to go as a roster. And certainly, there are individuals that were in phenomenal shape. There's certainly other ones that could have been in better shape. That's where my mind goes immediately is we have to get in championship shape." It didn't stop there. Last week, the Lakers posted a job opening for a head strength and conditioning coach. It's evident the Lakers are prioritizing the health of their star player, knowing full well their championship hopes hinge on his availability and peak condition. Doncic's talent is unquestionable, but whether he can elevate his team to a title remains a topic for debate.
