Google Skips Right to Leaking the Whole Pixel 10 Lineup
If you were looking forward to Google's upcoming summer event and all of the surprises about Pixel hardware it may reveal, you may want to stop reading. After showing the Pixel 10 on its own website following leaks, Google went ahead and doubled down on the anticlimax by previewing the entire new Pixel lineup in the Play Store. So, without further ado, here's the whole damn Pixel family: Google leaked the entire Pixel 10 series through Play Store. Source: Android Authority — Pixel Updates (@pixel_updates) July 24, 2025As noted by Android Authority, which discovered the images on the Play Store, Google seems to have (perhaps unintentionally?) revealed the whole lineup of upcoming Pixel phones, including the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and also the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Android Authority writes that the reveal certainly seems to be a bit of an oops, since a corresponding banner reads 'Now available' and even includes an October 13 deadline for a $50 discount. Intentional or not, it doesn't leave much to the imagination ahead of Google's August event, but there might be some other unknowns waiting in the shadows. Google uses its events to unveil other products, which could include the Pixel Watch 3—announced at last year's summer event—or the Pixel Buds 2 Pro wireless earbuds that debuted before that. I'm holding out hope that the Pixel Watch 4 or more wireless earbuds will make an appearance in August to at least give us something of a surprise. On the bright side (or not so bright, depending on your attitude), we'll probably see a lot of new AI features. In May, Google used its I/O developer conference to unveil endless updates to Gemini that will probably find their way into new Pixel devices. Whether Google can move the needle on getting people to actually care about those AI features is another story entirely, but there most certainly won't be any lack of effort if the past few years are any indication. Google Pixel 10 Pro: Best View Yet Of New Design Shown In Latest Leaks
Pixel 9 Pro XL Google is set to launch its new Pixel 10 family at next month's Made By Google event on Aug. 20. Of the four handsets, the Pixel 10 Pro will be seen as the flagship as it balances power and size. While we may not have any official details beyond the name, the new design's focus on continuity is evident, alongside a pursuit of the competitive edge in software. Pixel 10 Pro's Chinese Sighting This week saw our clearest look yet at the Pixel 10 Pro, as images of the handset appeared on a Chinese auction site. This looks to be a pre-release model, but one that has advanced beyond the basic prototype stage. It's likely a Design Validation Test or Engineering Validation Test model. These are used at various stages of the process, from prototyping to mass production, both represent near-final units but allow scope for changes to be made before all factors are locked in. The design changes we see are likely to be the same as those on the released handsets. The camera bar design introduced in the Pixel 9, moving away from an edge-to-edge raised strip for a still substantial but more island-like lozenge remains. Reflections suggest that the periscope lens has been added as one of the three main lenses at the rear. Around the front of the device, we can make out the bezels, which appear to be slightly smaller than those of previous models, and confirmation that Google is retaining a central punch-out for the selfie camera. Pixel 10 Pro's Vancouver Shoot The design of the Pixel 9 Pro matched that of the Pixel 9. Google is expected to follow a similar path this year with the Pixel 10 as the base unit and the Pixel 10 Pro externally similar but with uprated specifications, the Pixel 10 Pro XL, a larger-screened variant of the 10 Pro, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, exhibiting a folding design echoing a Pixel 10 when closed. That would mean what is on display here will also be the Pixel 10, especially as the base model may be moving up to a three-lens main camera for 2025. The tweaked camera bar, slimmer bezels and reworked edge matches the Pixel 10 that was spotted in Vancouver during May. The handset and associated storyboards were papped during filming, presumably of the flashy introduction videos and initial YouTube spots seen at a launch event. Pixel 10 Pro's CAD Files Going back further, March saw CAD files of the Pixel 10 appear online. These would be from much earlier in the process, but they illustrated the new camera bar and flatter sides, as well as the potential for a periscope lens in the main camera. The CAD files provided precise measurements of the handset; the width and height remain the same as those of the Pixel 9, but the body is 0.1mm thicker. Pixel 10 Pro Design Cues While these changes from the Pixel 9 family to the Pixel 10 are more evolutionary than the revolutionary jump from the Pixel 8 to the Pixel 9, they are adding up to a cleaner design for the handsets. It's unlikely to stand out against the competition from the likes of Samsung and Apple, but the design will keep pace. Where the Pixel 10 family will have a significant impact will be in software. Google has utilised the Pixel range to promote the broader adoption of Artificial intelligence in mobile devices. The recent I/O Developers conference shows that there will be no let-up in this strategy. The hardware is refined, but it's the software that Google will push hard. Google officially reveals when it's unveiling the Pixel 10 family
Ever since early June, Google has been rumored to hold its grand unveiling event for the Pixel 10 family on August 20, and today the company itself has officially confirmed the date. Of course, Google hasn't mentioned whether it had initially chosen August 13 and then changed its mind and postponed the event by exactly one week, as we have heard from rumors, so we'll never know if that was true. But the 'new' date itself was accurate, as is so often the case with rumors related to Google (and especially the Pixel line, which just can't seem to stop leaking). We are expecting the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel Watch 4 to all be introduced during the August 20 event, perhaps joined by the Pixel Buds 2a. The phones should all have macro capabilities built into their telephoto cameras alongside their ultrawides, and support for "Pixelsnap" magnetic accessories, but unfortunately only through cases - the magnets apparently won't be built into the handsets themselves, iPhone-style. Otherwise, the entire range will be powered by the Tensor G5 SoC, Google's first that will be built by TSMC and not Samsung. Source

Google is about to ace a key maturity exam with its 'late' Pixel 10 launch
How delighted were you when you heard that this year's big "Made by Google" event could take place in July or even June instead of August or September? Well, that dream was crushed in no time, as the Pixel 10 series launch is now reportedly scheduled for August 20, with a proper release for the search giant's four new high-end smartphones then expected on August 28. Basically, the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold are likely to go official later in the year than the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL , and Pixel 9 Pro Fold did back in 2024, which sounds like bad news for Google fans, Android purists, and even Android users in general. But while I consider myself a member of all three of those groups, I view the newly rumored dates as a potentially positive thing. Here's why: Who here remembers the original Google Pixel phone? The decidedly experimental Android 7.1 Nougat-running handset (and its XL sibling) were unveiled in early October 2016, followed by a Pixel 2 duo in October 2017, the Pixel 3 and 3 XL in October 2018, and the Pixel 4 and 4 XL in, you guessed it, October 2019. Google broke the pattern (somewhat) with a late September 2020 launch for the single-size Pixel 5, going back to a traditional October announcement for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro in 2021, Pixel 7 and 7 Pro in 2022, and Pixel 8 and 8 Pro in 2023. The Pixel 9 family then changed the paradigm completely, both by including four members instead of just two or three and by seeing daylight in August. The Pixel 9 family should mark the beginning of a new era for Google-made smartphones. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena This allowed Google to beat Apple's iPhone 16 quartet to the market, which was clearly a smart strategic choice. But while a June or July 2025 release would have given the Pixel 10 series a strategic advantage over Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE in addition to this year's iPhone 17 lineup, that would have also signaled weakness and indecision for a company that's setting the trends in so many segments of the tech industry. After nine years in this business (15 if you also count the discontinued Nexus line), Google needs to show maturity, boldness, and a pioneering spirit that other brands can follow. Predictability is a key characteristic of most smartphone market heavyweights (from Apple to Samsung and even Xiaomi or Oppo), and if Google wants to join that club, firmly locking a timeframe for all future high-end Pixel launches sounds like the best possible "programming" move. Quick, what's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the Pixel 9a name? It's "delay", isn't it? But that's not entirely fair, as Google's 2025 mid-ranger was still released earlier in the year than the Pixel 8a back in May 2024. The search giant would have clearly been better off unveiling and releasing the Pixel 9a in April or even May than rushing its announcement and tarnishing its image with what everyone now views as a tardy rollout. The Pixel 9a is proof an early announcement is not always a good idea. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena To a certain extent, the same can be said about last year's Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold , which arrived in stores a couple of weeks after the "vanilla" Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro XL despite all four models going official at the same time. Bottom line, it would be much wiser of Google to unveil the Pixel 10 , 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold on August 20 and start shipping all four devices on August 28 than rushing them to a July announcement only to realize the phones can't actually be used until weeks later. Of course, that's all assuming Big G will release the entire Pixel 10 family by the end of August, which is obviously not a guarantee just yet.

Google's Pixel 10 phones will reportedly launch on August 13th
Google will reportedly launch the Pixel 10 series at a Made by Google event on August 13th, with the handsets arriving in stores a week later on the 20th. Leaker @MysteryLupin was the first to tip the launch date, which Android Headlines echoed just minutes later, adding in the extra detail of when the phones will actually reach buyers. This year Google is expected to launch four Pixel 10 phones, with a regular model, Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold. It's likely Google will announce the Pixel Watch 4 at the same event. Plenty of details about the Pixel 10 series have leaked so far. The base model is expected to join the others in having three cameras, adding a telephoto to its lineup, but will make some camera quality tradeoffs to get there. The Pro models, including the Fold, are rumored to change less, with near-identical camera hardware and designs to last year, leaning instead on an upgraded Tensor G5 chipset with advanced AI features to motivate Pixel fans to upgrade. As for the Pixel Watch 4, leaked renders suggest it'll be thicker than the previous generation, which may mean a bigger battery. Google has apparently tweaked the watch's charging tech, too, and added a couple of mysterious new buttons. It should also mark the debut of Google's Gemini AI assistant on its smartwatches, while all the new Pixel devices will boast the company's youthful new Material 3 Expressive design language on the software side. Last year's Pixel 9 series also launched on August 13th, though those phones took longer to go on sale, with the 9 Pro Fold not arriving for almost a month.
