Aamir Khan, who is currently busy in the promotions of Sitaare Zameen Par, recently opened up about his personal life and shared that he still believes in marriage.

'In India, marriage is a very serious thing. When your marriage breaks, you go to divorce, and people don't like that. Emotionally, they don't like it either. I know that too, and I also believe that marriage is a very important thing and shouldn't be taken lightly. I completely agree with that. That's why I can present this matter truthfully in front of people, and I should. I do speak the truth that I was married to Reena, but we can no longer stay married, or I was married to Kiran, and now we can no longer stay married. So, it's a loss for all of us. Our families are not happy with this and we are also not doing it happily," said Aamir while talking to Zoom.

Sharing how pretending to be happy in a marriage could be the biggest dishonesty, Aamir added, 'I can pretend that Kiran and I are happy together and we can live like that our whole lives and personally, I can do whatever I want, she can do whatever she wants, but in the eyes of the world, we are still married. We can live like that too, but that would be a lie."
Making the moment lighter, he smiled and said, 'Shaadi me main kamyab nahi hua hun, lekin divorce me main hua hoon (I wasn't successful in marriage, but I've been successful in divorce)."

The Akshay Kumar-led comic caper, Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, wrapped up its first week at the India box office with a decent Rs 114.40 crore. The film, backed by Sajid Nadiadwala and co-starring Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, and a host of other actors, added an alright Rs 5.5-6 crore on 2nd Friday, to take the 8 day cume to Rs 120.15cr net. Let's dig deep into the theatrical performance of Housefull 5 so far. After a promising start last Friday, June 6, 2025, Housefull 5 saw robust growth over the opening weekend, capitalizing on the festive boost from Bakri Eid. The weekdays, however, saw a noticeable dip, putting the long run of the movie in jeopardy. The movie has stabilised a little on Friday but exponential second weekend growth is very important since it will become the second most preferred Bollywood movie option from the coming Friday, when Sitaare Zameen Par releases. Tmidst the glitz and spectacle of the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), one topic weighed on the minds of most film industry stakeholders—the current crisis in the theatre business. 'I have always believed that India has too few theatres, given the size of the country and [number of] people,' actor Aamir Khan said at a session. 'Our biggest theatre hits have had footfalls of 30-35 million. That's 2 per cent of our population in what is a cinema-loving country.' Seated next to him was Ajay Bijli, founder of PVR Cinemas and managing director of country's biggest multiplex chain, PVR INOX Ltd. Bijli replied in jest, 'Main office jaata hoon [I better head to office to get work done].'
