A FORMER UK Eurovision star has slammed the song contest in a fiery rant on social media.
The singer claimed they were 'fed to the lions' during their performance which led to a humiliating defeat.

Ahead of this year's Eurovision final (May 17), the singer took to X to speak on her experience.
Mae penned: 'Sorry but they put me up there to sing a song which is meant to be sung with heavy auto tune (just the vibe of the song) with no proper background vocals, and i was nervous as hell which didn't help but like they fed me to the LIONSSSS omfg.'

This meant that Mae placed second to last with only Germany's Lord of the Lost scoring less.
Fans took to the comments underneath the post to agree with the singer, one user said: 'In hindsight, maybe a song that's meant to be sung with autotune was probably not the best choice for a contest that doesn't allow it.'
To which, Mae said she completely agreed.
Another said: 'Mae, at least you got up & done it! & smiled the whole god damn time! give yourself credit fs!'

Jury deliberations begin in Harvey Weinstein's sex crimes retrial
Jurors started deliberating on Thursday in Harvey Weinstein's New York sex crimes retrial, tasked with deciding — again — a case that encapsulated the #MeToo movement. The seven-woman, five-man jury is considering two counts of criminal sex act and one count of rape, each relating to a different accuser and a different date. In this case, the criminal sex act charge is the higher-degree felony. Weinstein, 73, has pleaded not guilty. Some of those accusations later generated criminal charges and convictions in New York and California. The New York conviction from 2020 was subsequently overturned, leading to the retrial before a new jury and a different judge. Jurors heard more than five weeks of testimony, including lengthy and sometimes fiery questioning of Weinstein's three accusers in the case. Jessica Mann said he raped her in 2013, when she was trying to build an acting career. Miriam Haley accused him of forcibly performing oral sex on her in 2006, when she was looking for work in entertainment production. Kaja Sokola, who was not involved in Weinstein's first trial, told jurors that he forced oral sex on her, too, during 2006. At the time, she was a teenage fashion model trying to break into acting. 'They all had dreams of pursuing careers in the defendant's world, the entertainment industry,' prosecutor Nicole Blumberg told jurors in her closing argument on Tuesday. Louis Walsh's mother has been hailed as an 'extraordinary' woman, mourners at her funeral heard. Maureen Walsh, 94, passed away on Monday (June 2), with her son Louis being known as the manager for pop acts such as Westlife and Boyzone, as well as a judge on The X Factor. Acts who worked with Louis in the past, including Westlife's Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan, were in attendance for her funeral in Kiltimagh, Co Mayo, as well as Eurovision winner Dana. She pushed us to make the best of ourselves – she didn't do a bad job, I think,' she joked, while Maureen's son Frank said that she was the heart of their family's lives. 'We all loved her, respected her. She was a woman of great strength, loyalty and grace,' Frank said. 'Her life was not one of enormous gestures but countless small actions of goodness, kindness and love. She was hardworking, had great faith and found joy in the simple things.'
