Posh dominated possession but struggled to test home keeper Ollie Wright with their best chance of the first half – a Harley Mills free-kick which was narrowly wide.
After the restart, Stanley's Farrend Rawson could have made it three but sent his header straight at Reyes.
In the 54th minute, Gustav Lindgren forced the first save out of Wright, with the keeper diving low to keep out his effort.
Posh got one back after 79 minutes when Archie Collins headed home a Cain Hayes cross, but it was Stanley who threatened in eight minutes of added time, with Josh Woods almost adding a third.

August 17 - The Cincinnati Reds designated outfielder Jake Fraley for assignment prior to Sunday's game against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers. Cincinnati recalled outfielder Will Benson from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. Fraley, 30, was batting .232 with six homers and 23 RBIs in 67 games this season. Fraley hyperextended a knee during Saturday's game against the Brewers but was cleared medically Sunday prior to the transaction. Fraley was in his fourth season with the Reds. He batted .260 with 38 homers and 142 RBIs in 362 games with Cincinnati. "I don't really think there's ever an easy one, regardless of how guys are, because you're making decisions that alter their lives, and it's a big deal and we take it that way," Reds manager Terry Francona said. "Not that I need an excuse to lose sleep last night, but you do think about it the whole time. I think the day when I stop thinking about it, I'll re-retire." Overall, Fraley has a .247 career average with 47 homers and 179 RBIs in 459 big league games with the Seattle Mariners (2019-21) and Reds. Benson, 27, is batting .224 with nine homers and 32 RBIs in 61 games with Cincinnati this season. He has 34 homers, 106 RBIs and a .226 average in 325 games over the past three seasons with the Reds. Cincinnati also recalled right-hander Connor Phillips from Triple-A Louisville and optioned left-hander Joe La Sorsa to the same affiliate. Phillips, 24, was 1-0 with a 7.20 ERA in four relief appearances for the Reds earlier this season. La Sorsa, 27, is 0-1 with a 10.80 ERA in five appearances for Cincinnati. --Field Level Media

Nottingham Forest is ‘perfect place to be' – new signing Omari Hutchinson
Nuno Espirito Santo secured his fifth and sixth signings of the summer transfer window on Saturday after both Hutchinson and James McAtee committed to long-term contracts at the City Ground. Hutchinson was part of the side that won the European Championship with the England Under-21 side this summer and he will be reunited with fellow winning team-mates McAtee and Elliot Anderson in Nottingham. England Under-21 captain McAtee enjoyed a couple of loan spells away from Manchester City with Sheffield United but has decided to make a permanent switch to Forest for a fee believed to be around £30million and like Hutchinson, he also signed a deal till 2030. The 22-year-old made 27 appearances for City in all competitions last campaign and thought now was the right time for a new challenge. He said: 'I think I'm ready for a new challenge. I'll try and get some more game time and try and show the world what I can do. 'I can't wait (for the Europa League). It's something that I'm looking forward to and I'm excited to play in there.'

Financially stricken former EFL side are SAVED from going bust - as takeover is approved by governing body
The National League has approved the takeover of turmoiled Morecambe, with the Shrimps cleared to start their season next weekend should the sale go through. A group known as Panjab Warriors struck a deal to save the beleaguered Lancashire club, which was relegated from League Two last season. Amid grave concerns over their existence, Morecambe had their first three matches postponed thanks to an inability to meet financial obligations. However, National League officials say they have now given the green light to the takeover and that their suspension of the club will be lifted upon receipt of the sale and purchase agreement. A transfer embargo will remain in place until HMRC and other creditors including staff and players have been paid. The statement added: 'It is the intention for Morecambe's first National League game to be on Saturday 23rd August at home v Altrincham FC. 'The National League would like to welcome the new owners and to thank everybody involved in helping to secure the future of the Club and reaching this point.' An ongoing saga dominated the summer included Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy writing to Morecambe's controversial owner Jason Whittingham, to urge him to sell. In July it appeared there had been a breakthrough for the 105-year-old club, when Whittingham said he agreed terms with Panjab Warriors, although the takeover failed to materialise. Both sides subsequently agreed to a mediation session last week. Morecambe had ceased operations in late July, following their suspension by the National League.
