Former English Premier League whistler Dermot Gallagher gave the Old Firm officials full marks for the big calls at Ibrox on Sunday.
The 1-1 draw saw Ianis Hagi's penalty claim for Rangers waved away after a challenge by Callum McGregor. Both reached for the ball after Nico Raskin's blocked shot fell between the players, with Hagi hitting the deck as McGregor got his body between the Romanian and the ball.
The Celtic skipper's assessment post-match was "no chance, while Gers boss Barry Ferguson felt it was a foul anywhere else on the pitch, claiming: "The way I look at it is if that is in the middle of the pitch, that is a foul.
"But look, we didn't get much today so I will just leave it at that."
However, Gallagher insists Nick Walsh and VAR Andrew Dallas were spot on. He told Sky Sports: 'I just think it's a reaction of two players reaching for the ball. Not a penalty, for me.'
The other major flashpoint was Adam Idah's second half equaliser. The big striker looked like he was going to be denied by the offside flag, but he was adamant that his goal was good.
And after a VAR check, there was no offside against either Idah or teammate Daizen Maeda, and the leveller stood.

And I think once the season's over on Saturday then he'll have a bit more thinking time with a lot more space to be able to do that. "I wouldn't shut the door totally on it. I think I gave probably a number of weeks back my feeling what may happen, just having experienced so many of these situations and what it can look like. I would definitely say it's not 100 per cent it'll be his last game."

The cost for Tottenham of sacking Ange Postecoglou has been revealed. The Australian manager earnt Spurs a £100m windfall by masterminding their Europa League triumph, the club's first trophy for 17 years. A 1-0 victory over Man United in last month's final in Bilbao won Tottenham a place in next season's Champions League but, after a dire domestic campaign, their manager's position remains in doubt. Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League table and lost 22 matches — the most by any side to avoid relegation. Mail Sport reported in April that Spurs were set to cut ties with Postecoglou regardless of whether his team won the Europa League or not. And, should chairman Daniel Levy wish to end Postecoglou's reign, it would cost Tottenham £4million in compensation — according to The Telegraph. That is on top of the £2m bonus he received for lifting the Europa League. The 59-year-old has two years remaining on his contract, with the terms of his exit decided when he signed the deal that brought him to London from Celtic. The report adds that the manager has now returned from holiday and should be receiving clarity over his position in the near future. While sacking Postecoglou will take around £4m on its own, the total cost of then appointing a replacement could see Spurs splash out roughly £10m. The club would have to pay compensation to one of their Premier League rivals if they were to secure one of the two favourites to replace Postecoglou — Brentford boss Thomas Frank or Fulham's Marco Silva. Postecoglou did not sound like a man who was expecting the chop when he spoke to ABC's Australian Story last weekend from southern Greece where he has been spending time with his family.
