Alef awards $299m contract for Sharjah community project

Leading UAE real estate developer Alef has announced that it has appointed CC7 as the main contractor for the Al Mamsha Raseel project, being developed at an investment of AED1.1 billion ($299 million).
The development, part of the larger Al Mamsha Sharjah community, will comprise 11 buildings across the Darb and Nama clusters, delivering a total of 1,915 residential units.
The project is set to redefine modern living in Sharjah, offering a blend of luxury, sustainability, and community-centric design, said the Emirati developer.
Work is set to begin soon on the project and is likely to be completed in December 2028, it stated.
Announcing the contract award, CEO Issa Ataya said: "The appointment of CC7 marks a significant milestone in the development of Al Mamsha Raseel. Their expertise and dedication to quality align perfectly with our vision of creating exceptional living spaces that cater to the needs of modern families."
"This project underscores our commitment to supporting Sharjah's growth and delivering sustainable, community-focused developments," he noted.
Al Mamsha Raseel (pure water in Arabic) is a captivating zone within the Al Mamsha Sharjah, designed to harmonise modern living with natural beauty.
The development will feature stunning water elements, including interactive fountains in play areas, creating a serene and engaging environment for residents.

'Competition is always welcome – it drives innovation,' Almohanna 2018, flynas launched its 'We Connect the World to the Kingdom' strategy, targeting international destinations that had not previously had direct routes to Saudi Arabia, Forbes said. Flynas plans to more than double its current fleet to 160 aircraft by 2030, with its network set to grow from over 70 destinations to 165 and more than 300 routes, Forbes for MENA's aviation sector, Almohanna sees a strong potential. Sharjah Approves 700 New Government Jobs

Sharjah has announced a major employment and promotions initiative that will see 700 Emirati citizens hired in the emirate's government by the end of 2025. In addition, 1,523 government employees will receive promotions, which include both job advancements and special financial awards. These promotions will cost the government AED22m ($6m) annually. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharhah also approved status adjustments for 254 employees who have earned new academic qualifications, including: PhDs Master's degrees Bachelor's degrees These adjustments, which will take effect retroactively from the date each degree was obtained, represent an additional AED8,420,803 ($2.3m) in annual costs. The combined financial impact of the promotions and qualification-based adjustments totals more than AED30.4 million ($8.3m) per year. The initiative underscores Sharjah's commitment to supporting Emirati talent, rewarding academic achievement, and expanding opportunities within the government sector, while reinforcing the emirate's focus on long-term workforce development.
