The 24-year-old from University of Edinburgh held off the challenge of Stirling University's Rafe Dobson in a comfortable one minute 2.42 seconds at Edinburgh's Royal Commonwealth Pool.
Having been runner-up at 50m at the British Championships in April, Goodburn went into the race as strong favourite as he continues to train for this summer's World University Games and next year's Commonwealths in Glasgow.
He will also be aiming to retain the Scottish 50m breaststroke crown this weekend.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen University's Faye Rogers lowered her own S10 200m butterfly world record by more than half a second to 2:18.24 as she took bronze in the able-bodied final.

Airdrie athlete Brodie Young hopes medal win boosts Commonwealth Games bid
Airdrie athlete Brodie Young hopes he's done enough to secure a Commonwealth Games place after winning bronze at the European Under-23 Championships in Norway. The Airdrie Harrier recorded a PB 45.34 to take third place in the men's 400m final in Bergen on July 19, which is inside the Commonwealth Games qualifying mark for Glasgow 2026. And he hopes it's a platform to build on for his career. The 22-year-old said: 'It feels really good. Going into it, I wasn't overly expecting to come away with a medal, I was more just there to try and run a fast time – but I was happy to get both. 'That's me got the qualifying mark now, there are two rounds of selection – one at the start of October, one at the start of June – so hopefully now I have the standard, I'll get selected in one of those rounds. 'But I'm not 100 per cent sure on which one it will be. 'The whole final was really competitive, there were a lot of fast boys running in it. 'The weather was also really hot, so it was really difficult and challenging, and there were a lot of different factors. 'The last section of the race was really difficult, but there was that motivation with a medal being on the line, and that's what pushed me through it.' Young has targeted Glasgow 2026, and says Bergen has given him a real boost. He said: 'It's something I can build on, and it gives me a lot of motivation, especially moving on to next year, because the Commonwealth Games is going to be the main target. 'Being able to walk away with a European medal gives me a lot more confidence, going into training over the winter and starting my season. 'I'm going to be in the States for a while, but it's great over in New Mexico, with great facilities and coaches, and everything I've needed. 'It has really helped me this year, and having good team-mates there has pushed me on and aided me for how I've performed.' It was a good weekend for Scottish athletes in Bergen, with Alyson Bell winning gold with the GB and NI women's 4x100m team, and Rebecca Grieve also took top prize with the GB women's 4x100m, in a championship record of 3:26.52.

Another league triumph this season would see Brendan Rodgers' side surpass their eternal Glasgow rivals Rangers, moving ahead with 56 Scottish top-flight titles. However, their summer transfer activity has been relatively modest, with Kieran Tierney's free transfer return from Arsenal standing out as the club's most high-profile signing. They face a St Mirren side aiming to build on three straight top-six finishes. Stephen Robinson's men enjoyed an encouraging pre-season campaign and will be hopeful of causing an early upset—securing what would be their first victory over Celtic in 14 attempts. VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security. However, some streaming services may have policies restricting VPN use to access region-specific content. Exciting' Dijksteel arrives early at St Mirren
St Mirren have paid an undisclosed fee to bring "exciting" 24-year-old winger Malik Dijksteel to Paisley six months early from Cork City. The Scottish Premiership club announced last week the Dutchman had signed a pre-contract agreement to join them when his deal with the League of Ireland club was due to expire in January. Cork manager Gerard Nash then claimed after Friday's League of Ireland Premier Division defeat by Sligo Rovers that Dijksteel's agent had made the winger unavailable for the game after St Mirren's approach had been rebuffed. Saints manager Stephen Robinson had denied any knowledge of that, but is now pleased to "add another bit of creativity and pace into the team" on a contract until summer 2028. How is your Premiership club shaping up for new season? Who has your Premiership club brought in & let go? - summer 2025 Robinson said that, with Conor McMenamin out injured, "we didn't have the wide players" who could "change games in 1v1 situations" since Christmas last season. "We believe Malik brings that real, real pace," he said. "A real exciting signing for us." Robinson, though, stressed that "there's no guarantees" and Dijksteel would have to "fight to get into the team" who qualified from their Premier Sports Cup group. However, he pointed out that: "He comes match ready because he's been playing at Cork as well the last three games." Once a youth with Feyenoord, Dijksteel joined defender brother Anfernee at Middlesbroough before moving to Whitby Town and Wrexham before signing for Cork in 2023. He has made 11 appearances this season, scoring once, but is "delighted" to be able to join St Mirren earlier than planned for a full season. "It allows me to get to know the manager and get to know how he works," he told St Mirren's website. "The manager said he wants me to be me and be the player that I am. He wants me to beat players, excite the fans and work hard. That's what you want to hear as a winger. "I've watched some of the games on TV. You don't know until you're in it yourself, but it looks like a good level and I'm looking forward to it."
