This is when Apple Intelligence gets OpenAI's new GPT-5

GSM Arena17 hours ago
A few hours ago, OpenAI announced ChatGPT-5, the best ChatGPT yet. Since the unveiling, you may have been wondering when Apple Intelligence will incorporate GPT-5, as right now it uses the older GPT-4o.
According to a report from 9to5Mac, Apple will incorporate GPT-5 into the final releases of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26. All of those are expected to start rolling out next month, which is also when the iPhone 17 family should become official.
In Apple Intelligence, you can use Siri to access ChatGPT. Apple's assistant taps into ChatGPT to give answers when it's helpful for your request. You can also use ChatGPT with Apple Intelligence's Writing Tools, and use ChatGPT with Apple's Visual Intelligence with Camera Control to quickly learn more about what's around you.
All of these functions currently use GPT-4o but will be upgraded to GPT-5 with the release of the next versions of Apple's operating systems, so you won't have that long to wait to get all of the upgraded functionality in GPT-5.

The Beats headphones are just as impressive when it comes to audio quality. Unlike cheaper models, these bad boys don't deliver overpowering bass out of the box. Instead, you get just the right amount of low end, rich and powerful mids, and excellent treble. The highs might sound a bit overpowering at times, but that shouldn't be a dealbreaker for most users. Google Pixel Buds 2a specs leak

Google is unveiling the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel Watch 4 on August 20, and alongside them the Pixel Buds 2a should also become official. Last week an image leaked showing them in their case, and today their main specs have been outed by none other than Evan Blass, aka @evleaks. He shared the comparison you can see below, between the upcoming Pixel Buds 2a and the already available Pixel Buds Pro 2. Obviously, the Pro buds have more features, as the Pixel Buds 2a are expected to be cheaper, being the successors to the Pixel Buds A-Series from all the way back in 2021. They've certainly been a long time coming. As you can see, the Pixel Buds 2a will be advertised to have a 7-hour battery life (20 hours with the charging case). They will support Spatial audio, but without head tracking. The case won't have wireless charging, but the Buds 2a will have ANC (though without "Silent Seal 2.0", so expect its performance to be inferior to the Pixel Buds Pro 2's ANC). The Pixel Buds 2a will only be offered in two colors which resemble black (or dark gray) and white, but which Google will undoubtedly call something else like Obsidian and Porcelain. Source

That's a trap that both Apple and Samsung have often fallen into multiple times, where they dull a color so much that it's basically just a slightly different shade of white. Fortunately, the pink and aforementioned Ultramarine color options for thewere much addition to this much more vibrant green, thewill also be available in purple, which is also much less dull than the purple on the iPhone 14 before. The iPhone 14 Pro also got a 'Deep Purple' option that went too far in the opposite direction, and looked much closer to black.
