One-of-One Vintage and a Moment for the Bumster: An Exclusive First Look at The Queen of Fashion
Not only was Blow a mainstay on the international fashion scene, but she also possessed the rare ability to spot era-defining talent before said talent even recognized itself. She nurtured her fashion foundlings and became a walking, talking (and wearing) ambassador, while simultaneously introducing them to all the key players in the industry. That roster included designers Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy, and Jeremy Scott, as well as the models Stella Tennant and Sophie Dahl, among others—all of whom Blow took under her wing at the start of their careers and championed long after they'd flown the nest.
After her suicide in 2007, the book Blow by Blow (2010), written by Blow's husband Detmar Blow with Tom Sykes, recounted the story of her life; her wardrobe went on display for the acclaimed 'Fashion Galore!' exhibition at Somerset House in London; and she featured in various McQueen documentaries. So, almost two decades on, it seems only right that Blow is now the subject of an upcoming biopic, The Queen of Fashion, in which she's played by Andrea Riseborough.
'Isabella was a unique person in every way,' Treacy tells Vogue about the film set to honor his late mentor and friend. 'She deserves all of this and more.'

Arriving on set in Cardiff, Wales, for an exclusive sneak peek into a day of filming, I'm met with a frenzy of camera crews, people whizzing around with garment bags, and assistants communicating via walkie-talkies. One of them leads me into an industrial-looking, klieg-lit warehouse with rows of chairs neatly lined up on one side and the man behind it all, director Alex Marx, on the other.

Mark Zuckerberg surfs in bald eagle costume for viral Fourth of July stunt: ‘Sam Altman would never'
Mark Zuckerberg may be a billionaire tech mogul, but his Fourth of July antics prove he's still just a kid at heart. The CEO of Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, spent the holiday in a full-body inflatable bald eagle costume and shared a now-viral video of himself wakesurfing in the getup with his millions of followers over the weekend. The clip, posted to Instagram and Facebook on Friday, July 4, opens with Zuckerberg sitting down on a moving boat, holding an American flag and nodding his head, not yet covered by the costume. 'Is this the stupidest thing we've done so far?' an off-camera voice asks, before Zuckerberg hops onto the board fully suited up in his patriotic outfit. The video then cuts to him surfing, with his arms outstretched to show off the red, white and blue fringed wings of his costume as the song 'America, F— Yeah,' from the 2004 comedy 'Team America: World Police,' plays. His video has received 961,000 likes since it was posted, and has garnered a number of impressed comments from Zuckerberg's followers. 'Didn't think he'd be able to one-up last year's post but he did,' wrote content creator Kagan Dunlap, referencing Zuckerberg's similar Independence Day stunt from last year, during which he surfed in a suit and bowtie while holding a beer in one hand and an American flag in the other. That comment also received a like from Zuckerberg, along with more than 6,500 others. While Zuckerberg didn't tag the location of his post, many fans speculate the clip was filmed in Lake Tahoe, where Zuckerberg is building a seven-building compound. On Saturday, July 5, the Facebook founder shared another holiday-themed video, this time accompanied by his friends as they pretend to be Marvel's Avengers. The clip was recorded backwards to make it appear as though each individual is jumping out of the water, and is set to audio from the superhero film series in which Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, delivers the iconic line: 'Avengers, assemble.' Zuckerberg wore a long sleeve shirt that resembled Captain America's suit, while one friend was dressed as Uncle Sam and another wore the same bald eagle costume from his previous post. Zuckerberg has developed a reputation for his elaborate stunts over the years, though many have been romantic gestures for his wife, Priscilla Chan. In February, he borrowed singer Benson Boone's skintight Grammy jumpsuit to serenade Chan on her birthday, and in 2024 he went viral for commissioning a seven-foot-tall teal blue sculpture in her likeness.

Roger Daltrey Says Zak Starkey Was Fired by The Who Over a ‘Complete Misunderstanding' and ‘Character Assassination'
The band's longtime drummer was dismissed, rehired, and let go again in April In a new interview, The Who singer and co-founder Roger Daltrey said that the band's longtime drummer, Zak Starkey, was fired after a 'complete misunderstanding' led Starkey to make comments Daltrey said amounted to 'character assassination.' Starkey, the son of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, had served as the band's drummer since 1996 but in April he was fired after the band performed at the Royal Albert Hall, was then re-hired, and then fired again. The reasons for this odd turn of events weren't clear at the time, but speaking to The Times of London, Daltrey explained that it started with a mixing error. 'It is controlled by a guy on the side, and we had so much sub-bass on the sound of the drums that I couldn't pitch. I was pointing to the bass drum and screaming at him because it was like flying a plane without seeing the horizon,' he explained. 'So when Zak thought I was having a go at him, I wasn't. That's all that happened.' Starkey apparently thought Daltrey was yelling at him and later said, 'what happened was I got it right and Roger got it wrong. That, Daltrey told The Times, was 'kind of a character assassination' and 'incredibly upsetting.' When asked to explain why Starkey rejoined only to be fired again, he added, 'Pete and I retain the right to be the Who. Everyone else is a session player. You can't replace Keith Moon.
