Watch: Hunger Sirens Echo

Ambulances in Gaza sounded their sirens in unison as a distress call and warning over the worsening famine and health crisis.
This comes amid what Gaza's Health Ministry described as a catastrophic famine, with over two million people facing hunger. The ministry accused Israel of using starvation as a weapon, stating that "children are dying of hunger in front of the cameras," and issued an urgent appeal for international pressure on Israel to allow the entry of aid. It added that the blockade on medical supplies has caused a total collapse of the healthcare system in the strip.
The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) also reported that Israeli authorities are starving one million children in Gaza. It called for lifting the blockade and allowing UNRWA to deliver food and medicine.

Three killed in Israeli strikes on south Lebanon

Three killed in Israeli strikes on south Lebanon The Health Ministry said three people were killed in Israeli strikes in the south on Saturday despite a ceasefire, as the Israeli military said one of them targeted a Hezbollah militant. "The Israeli enemy drone strike that targeted a vehicle" in Tyre district "killed one person," a ministry statement said. The Israeli military said that it "struck and eliminated" a Hezbollah commander who was "involved in efforts to rehabilitate the ... organization in the area of Bint Jbeil," near the border. It did not specify where the strike took place. The Lebanese health ministry later reported that another Israeli strike in Tyre district, on the town of Debaal, killed two people. The state-run National News Agency reported that it targeted a house. The Israeli military did not immediately respond to an AFP request for comment about the reported strike in Debaal. Israel has kept up its strikes on Lebanon despite a November ceasefire that sought to end over a year of hostilities with Hezbollah, including two months of all-out war. It has warned it will continue to strike until the Iran-backed militant group has been disarmed. Under the truce, Hezbollah was to withdraw its fighters north of the Litani river, about 30 kilometers (20 miles) from the Israeli border, leaving the Lebanese Army and United Nations peacekeepers as the only armed parties in the region. Israel was to withdraw all its troops from Lebanon but has kept them in five areas it deems strategic.

Death toll nears 60,000 killed in Israeli attacks

BEIRUT — In its daily report, Gaza's Health Ministry said Sunday that at least 88 Palestinians have been killed in the Palestinian enclave in the past 24 hours, along with 374 wounded. Among these victims, at least 53 people have been killed since dawn on Sunday morning, according to medical sources cited by al Jazeera, despite the "tactical pauses" in fighting announced by the Israeli army in several regions of the besieged territory to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid. About 32 aid seekers were killed by Israeli gunfire during a distribution near a GHF center in Khan Younis (south). This brings the total number of people killed directly by Israeli army attacks since the beginning of its offensive to 59,821 dead and 144,851 wounded, according to the ministry. At the same time, hospitals recorded six new deaths linked to malnutrition, bringing the total number of famine-related deaths to 133, including 87 children.

53 Palestinians killed despite fighting 'pause', 6 more die of famine

At least 43 Palestinians have been killed since dawn Sunday morning in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources cited by al Jazeera, despite an announcement by the Israeli army of "humanitarian pauses in fighting" in some areas of the enclave. The victims include 29 people who were waiting for a humanitarian aid distribution in Khan Younis, in the south of the enclave, according to an official from the Nasser medical complex cited by the Qatari media outlet. The Israeli army had announced a daily humanitarian pause, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (local time), in the areas of al-Mawassi, Deir el-Balah, and Gaza City, to allow for an increase in the delivery of aid in light of the worsening famine imposed in the besieged territory. In addition, the Gaza Health Ministry announced on Sunday morning that six more people have died from famine and malnutrition in the last 24 hours, including two children. The total number of deaths from famine now stands at 133, including 87 children, according to the ministry.
