Minister Seethakka Honors Young Minds at Unified Council Annual Awards Celebrations
Hyderabad: The Unified Council celebrated its prestigious Annual Awards Celebrations – 2025 at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, recognizing top-performing students in a series of national and international Olympiads. These included the National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE), Unified Cyber Olympiad (UCO), Unified International English Olympiad (UIEO), Unified International Mathematics Olympiad (UIMO), and Unified International General Knowledge Olympiad (UIGKO).
Chief Guest, Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, Minister for Rural Development, Panchayat Raj, and Women & Child Welfare, Telangana, presided over the ceremony and felicitated the achievers. She was joined by esteemed Guests of Honour including Sahaj Sandhu (Startups & MSME Development, T-Works), K.V. Pradeep (Actor & Motivational Speaker), Dr. B.V. Pattabhiram (Eminent Psychologist & HRD Trainer), and Gampa Nageshwar Rao (Psychologist & Leadership Coach), who also presented awards to the young achievers.
Minister Seethakka lauded the students for their outstanding achievements and underscored the importance of nurturing analytical and creative thinking in young minds to build a stronger, knowledge-based future for India.
Srinivas Kalluri, CEO of Unified Council, addressed the media stating, 'With a legacy spanning over 26 years, Unified Council has become India's largest Olympiad-conducting body. Our focus is on enhancing conceptual understanding and competitive readiness among school students through well-designed assessments.' IIT Bhilai signs MOU with France's IMT Nord Europe for joint UG, PG degrees initiatives
The Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai (IIT Bhilai) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Institut Mines Telecom (IMT) Nord Europe to foster international academic and research partnerships between India and France. Meanwhile, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) have been conducting counselling for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other institutions. While JoSAA is responsible for conducting counselling for IIT admission and for the NIT+ system (NIT, IIIT, etc), CSAB conducts counselling only for the NIT+ system. JoSAA will be regulating the joint seat allocation for admissions to 127 institutes for the academic year 2025-26. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 46 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Viksit Krishi drive aims to boost farm productivity in Uttar Pradesh: Minister
Uttar Pradesh agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi on Friday said the ongoing Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan-2025 (May 29–June 12) aims to enhance farm productivity and farmers' income through adoption of advanced agricultural techniques. Addressing a joint press conference with minister of state Baldev Singh Aulakh, Shahi said the campaign was being run at 10,125 locations across all 75 districts, training over 8.39 lakh farmers— including 1.91 lakh women—through field-level interactions and scientific demonstrations. 'The initiative, launched by chief minister Yogi Adityanath on May 29, has the participation of 550 agricultural scientists, along with departments of horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, silk, water resources and cooperatives,' he said. A total of 4.58 lakh free minikits, including pulses, oilseeds, millets and groundnut, will be distributed to promote Kharif 2025 sowing, Shahi added. The government, according to him, has sanctioned ₹410.67 crore for the campaign under various central schemes, including Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, Food and Nutritional Security and Krishonnati Yojana. Calling it a step toward the 'lab to land' vision, the minister urged public representatives and the media to actively support the campaign to ensure timely and effective transfer of technology to farmers.
