Despite a fairly convincing scoreline, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso was left frustrated by his side's 2-0 win over AmaZulu in the Betway Premiership, at Loftus Versfeld, in Pretoria, on Tuesday evening.
The champions had been held goalless in the first half before Iqraam Rayners found the opener in the 53rd minute.
In added time, Tashreeq Matthews doubled his side's advantage to seal all three points.
It was the perfect response after Sundowns drew their opening match of the league over the weekend against Chippa United.

Cardoso Criticises Pitch Conditions and 'Mobility' in Match Analysis
'Two very different halves of football. The first one, I think there was too much mobility on the pitch, it's also not very good,' Cardoso said after the match.
'And I think that we had a lot of players out of position because of too much mobility.
'And that took us to a very uncomfortable place in order to play football, some uncertainty, not finding the connections, not finding the players in the places where usually we find them.'
Ultimately though, it was a bizarrely poor pitch that was the target of Cardoso's frustrations.
'Obviously we made some corrections, we tried to bring in players that could give some other things, we tried to understand … I don't know if it's clear from the outside, but the pitch is absolutely horrible to play football. It was very slippery, difficult to handle for players on their feet so that didn't help.'

Another undeserved loss for Richards Bay FC

Richards Bay FC supporters pinched themselves when they woke this (Thursday) morning, hoping the 1-0 loss to Lamontville Golden Arrows last night had just been a bad dream. But it was, in fact, real – a nightmare. After again hugely dominating proceedings, firing shots at will against their opponents, the Rich Boyz were simply unable to put the ball into the back of the net. There were at least a dozen clear opportunities, when it looked easier to score than to miss, but not one that mattered. It was the opposite story for Arrows, whose lone second-half chance was well and truly buried by Junior Dion – a magnificent volley from just outside the box that left four defenders and goalkeeper Salim Magoola mere spectators. No stopper in the world would have got near, and ultimately the 82nd minute goal was enough to deny NRB the win they thoroughly deserved. That's two losses in two games in an unlucky start to their Betway Premiership campaign, after losing 2-1 to Marumo Gallants in the season opener. And it won't get easier as they travel to the FNB Stadium on Tuesday to meet Kaizer Chiefs and their thousands of fans. But they have played extremely well thus far, and if Lady Luck changes her fickle mind, this time they could well get the rewards they deserve. Don't have the ZO app? Kaizer Chiefs to release another flop

Kaizer Chiefs are known admirers of Etiosa Ighodaro. To sign the Nigerian forward, they'll offload another international star. Venezuelan midfielder Edson Castillo's time at the club is reportedly up. Can Chiefs get deals done before the window closes? FOUR Chiefs players with uncertain futures Although 31-year-old Venezuelan schemer Edson Castillo started his Chiefs career well, the midfield man has gradually fallen out of favour during his two years at Naturena. The club's pursuit of 24-year-old Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro could hinge on them freeing up a foreign spot in the squad. 'It's been said head coach Nasreddine Nabi could be open to his [Castillo's] potential exit, allowing the club to be more flexible in the market as they look to lure new foreign recruits to bolster the squad for the upcoming season,' the report read on iDiskiTimes. Xmas comes early for Chiefs? Remaining fixtures for August in the Betway Prem Meanwhile, the Glamour Boys are keen to extend their 100% start in the Betway Premiership after wins over Stellies and Polokwane. Kaizer Chiefs news: Home affairs clearance and Velebayi in the lineup

The wait is almost over. Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Ethan Chislett, signed from Port Vale in England, has edged closer to starting his Betway Premiership career. The 26-year-old is one of the Amakhosi's standout signings after turning down interest from Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. Despite playing in attacking midfield, the new Kaizer Chiefs number 23 scored 40 goals in 242 games in English football. Orlando Pirates news: Another player gone and Saleng finds love Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach, Cedric Kaze, confirmed that midfielder Chisllet finally got his work permit. 'Ethan is available for selection after his paper has been resolved,' Kaze told the media before facing Polokwane City on Wednesday. Orlando Pirates full list: 16 players gone However, Chislett surprisingly did not feature as Amakhosi won 1-0 over Rise and Shine. Kaizer Chiefs' new signings Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett and Nkanyisa Shinga. Image: kcofficial/X Kaizer Chiefs' new winger finally arrived at Naturena. The Betway Premiership giants have announced Asanele Velebayi from Cape Town Spurs. Kaizer Chiefs will soon introduce Velebayi on the field rather than the media. How does the former Cape Town Spurs superstar fit in? To keep things simple, we've taken the same lineup that beat Polokwane City 1-0 in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday. The only change is that Velebayi will come in on the left wing for Gaston Sirino, who had a bad night. The 22-year-old winger, who can play on either wing or the attacking midfield role, is likely to compete for minutes on the left wing. Brandon Petersen – Goalkeeper Thabiso Monyane – Right back Inacio Miguel – Right central defender Aden McCarthy – Left central defender Bradley Cross – Left back Sibongiseni Mthethwa – Defensive midfielder Thabo Cele – Central midfielder Mduduzi Shabalala – Attacking midfielder Glody Lilepo – Right winger Asanele Velebayi – Left winger Wandile Duba – Striker.
