DeMarcus Cousins Involved In A Heated Altercation With A Fan
Cousins found himself at the center of a stormy scuffle with fans as his team, Mets de Guaynabo, squared off against Vaqueros de Bayamon in the Puerto Rican Baloncesto Superior Nacional on Monday.
In clips making the rounds on social media, Cousins was casually strolling on the pitch and seemed to be getting something off his eyes before turning to a court-side fan who appeared to make a crying gesture towards him.

Cousins, approaching the fan, grabbed his crotch, which led to the fan giving him the double middle-finger sign. The 34-year-old power forward then grabbed the fan's arm before one of his teammates came, attempting to de-escalate things.
Another fan in a pink shirt quickly stood up and was furiously pointing at Cousins before officials and several other teammates came to separate him from the crowd.

The direct confrontation between Cousins and the fan seemingly spread across the crowd at the Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez, where the match took place.

In another viral social media clip, Cousins can be seen making his way into the locker room after he was ejected from the game, but was greeted by angry fans who were pointing to the alley.
Flexing on his way into the locker room, one fan reached over the railing and seemingly made a crude gesture before Cousins reached up, attempting to hit the fan.
The fan then threw his clear drink at Cousins before other fans started throwing theirs at him, with some even hurling bottles his way. Authorities held Cousins back and tackled him to the ground, but he managed to stand up before facing another wave of drinks and objects being thrown at him.
The former Kings star was helped to the back, with his team eventually falling 101-92 to the Vaqueros de Bayamon team. Cousins put up 11 points and seven rebounds.
Fans Online Called Out DeMarcus Cousins For Losing His 'Cool'
Several netizens took to social media to react to the scenes, with many bashing Cousins for losing his "cool" over such an incident.

"Dude, you're the NBA player the fans pay to see. Play the game, and ignore the peanut gallery," a fan wrote on X. "DeMarcus could have easily had the guy escorted out of there, but he chose to be lured in to fully engage in the ignorant exchange, just to end up ejected and embarrassed, having drinks and snacks launched at him on the walk of shame to the locker room."
Another fan commented, "Players have to have the sense to keep their cool and allow security to handle it. They risk getting hefty lawsuits, which isn't smart at all. Jurors have little sympathy for wealthy entitled sports figures, right or wrong doesn't always win."
"I think Demarcus might have some other bad things going on in his life. Ain't no way you should let fans get this much in your head," one fan penned.
"Players are so soft now, a fan making a crying gesture sets Cousins off? Like seriously, the fans were way worse in the 80's and 90's," another fan wrote.

"Should players be held to a higher standard of behavior than fans, or is it a two-way street?" a fan quizzed.
"Bro... boogie woulda folded you like laundry. Sit yo a-z down," another user penned.
One more person said, "Them fans better be happy Cousins ain't go to the stands he would've had them Puerto Ricans yelling for Jesus to save 'em."

He has been in the news for his bold takes and predictions concerning the NBA, and bragged in an interview with HoopsHype that he can "dominate in any era" after he was asked how he would adapt his game to "dominate this era."
"The way I'm wired and the way I'm built, I feel like I could dominate in any era. I'm very confident in my abilities, my work ethic, and the commitment I've put into my craft. No matter when I played, I believe I would have stood out. That's just who I am," he said.

Brooklyn Nets jersey history No. 17 - Rashad Vaughn (2018)

The Brooklyn Nets have 52 jersey numbers worn by over 600 different players over the course of their history since the franchise was founded in 1967 as a charter member of the American Basketball Association (ABA), when the team was known as the "New Jersey Americans". Since then, that league has been absorbed by the NBA with the team that would later become the New York Nets and New Jersey Nets before settling on the name by which they are known today, bringing their rich player and jersey history with them to the league of today. Advertisement To commemorate the players who played for the Nets over the decades wearing those 52 different jersey numbers, Nets Wire is covering the entire history of the franchise's jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. The 19th of those 52 different numbers is jersey No. 17, which has has had a total of seven players wear the number in the history of the team. Thunder have been here before, down 2-1 in these playoffs, do they have another comeback in them?

INDIANAPOLIS — Oklahoma City has been here before. Just a month ago, the Thunder trailed the Nuggets 2-1 and had to win Game 4 on the road to stay in that series. They did it in a grinding, at times sloppy game, where Cason Wallace and Aaron Wiggins sparked a fourth-quarter run and comeback that gave OKC the win and showed they could win gritty, tough games. Advertisement Indiana is a very different team — don't expect Game 4 of the NBA Finals to be a grinding and slow affair — but having done this before gives Oklahoma City confidence that it can do it again. "We've been here before. Got to bounce back. Get the car back on the road," Wallace said. "Yeah, it feels a lot similar," Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added. "Obviously losing Game 1 on a buzzer-beater, winning big Game 2, being up in Game 3 and losing the lead. There's a lot of similarities... "But at the end of the day, we have to be who we are and who we've been all season. I think we got back to that in that series. If we want to give ourselves a chance in this series, it has to be the same thing." Advertisement Being themselves meant a couple of things to the Thunder. One was not turning the ball over, something they did 19 times in their Game 3 loss. Three of those were backcourt turnovers. "Yeah, we turned the ball over at a high rate the last game," Wallace said. "We got to turn that over." The Thunder also played more in isolation in Game 3 than they would have liked, with the assists and ball movement that had defined their run to the NBA Finals fading in the face of more intense and focused defensive pressure from the Pacers. "I think we played on their terms more than we played on our terms of how we wanted the game to be and to flow," Alex Caruso said." I think that was apparent just with the runs that they went on when they played well." Advertisement A large part of disrupting the Thunder's flow and limiting their assists has been the impressive Pacers' transition defense. "Some of it's been our transition, I think. I think we do a lot of damage there that we haven't gotten in this series so far," Thunder coach Daigneault said. The Pacers have been here, too — they have led every team these playoffs by 2-1. They also won Game 4 in every round. Indiana needs to do that again on Friday night, or this will be a best-of-three series where Oklahoma City will have momentum and home court advantage. "We're excited to play another game in front of our home crowd, approach this game the same way we approached yesterday," Tyrese Haliburton said. "Just control what we can. I think the biggest thing is just playing hard. If we can do that, we can figure everything out from there. Advertisement "There's no need to get super giddy or excited. There's still a lot of work to be done." If the Pacers can do that work in Game 4 in front of their raucous home crowd, they will be in command of this series.

Former Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins a candidate for Knicks coaching job

Could former Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins be back in the NBA next season? Jenkins was fired by the Grizzlies in March. He's now a candidate for the Knicks coaching vacancy, according to a report by The Athletic's Sam Amick. Advertisement The Knicks have had a bizarre start to their coaching search after firing Tom Thibodeau. They have reportedly attempted to set up interviews with several current coaches, including the Timberwolves' Chris Finch, Rockets' Ime Udoka, Hawks' Quin Snyder, Bulls' Billy Donovan and Mavericks' Jason Kidd, but were rebuffed by all those teams. New York has now apparently moved on to other candidates, including Jenkins and former Kings coach Mike Brown. 'Yet with the Knicks seemingly shooting air balls left and right in pursuit of employed head coaches, league sources say there is an increased Knicks focus on two former coaches who don't require permission to pursue: Mike Brown (last with the Sacramento Kings) and Taylor Jenkins (formerly of the Memphis Grizzlies),' Amick wrote. 'There could certainly be more names of (available) head coaches emerging soon, as a league source said the Knicks are planning on finalizing that list in the coming days. But Brown, in particular, profiles as an interesting option given the complicated nature of the Knicks' inner circle.' More: Intense prep, speed, 'murderball': What makes Memphis Grizzlies interim coach Tuomas Iisalo tick Advertisement Jenkins was hired as Grizzlies coach in 2019 and became the winningest coach in franchise history during the 2024-25 season. But he was fired with nine games remaining in the regular season after the Grizzlies backslid defensively and ultimately only made the playoffs through the play-in tournament. Tuomas Iisalo, who had been Jenkins' lead assistant, was promoted to interim coach for the rest of the season and was named full-time coach after the season.
