Charo Santos looks back on hosting GMA's 'Germspesyal' with the late German Moreno
Charo Santos looked back on the time she co-hosted the variety show "Germspesyal" with the late German "Kuya Germs" Moreno on GMA Network.
Charo guested with Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes in "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Friday where they shared insights about life, love, and the entertainment industry.
According to the actress, "Germspesyal" was her first show on GMA. "Germspesyal" was formerly titled "Germside" and ran from 1979 to 1984 before it was renamed anew to "GMA Supershow."
"I was the first co-host of the late German Moreno before it became 'GMA Supershow,' it was called 'Germspesyal.' I would come here every Sunday and do the hosting chore with him," she shared.
Charo added that back then, she did not have a talent fee nor a makeup team with her.
"You have to do everything on your own, that's why it also trained me to be self-reliant and to be independent," she said of her experience.
Dingdong and Charo recently visited Bahay ni Kuya as the latest house guests in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition."
While inside, they hosted a game show and also gave the "PBB" housemates some words of wisdom.
Dingdong and Charo are set to star in the upcoming movie, "Only We Know," which will premiere on June 11.

Mika-Brent, AZ-River, Charlie-Esnyr: Final duos in 'Pinoy Big Brother' are completed
All final duos for 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition' have officially been formed! On Saturday's episode, the remaining housemates finalized who their last partners were going to be. Mika Salamanca chose Brent Manalo, who she said has been a big part of her growth and journey inside Bahay Ni Kuya. AZ Martinez then chose "gentle giant" River Joseph, who she described as a hero and light among the housemates. Charlie Fleming and Esnyr are paired up by default. However, Charlie said Esnyr was her top pick either way. The formation of duos took place over the past few nights. Ralph De Leon was the first to choose his final partner, Will Ashley. Ralph De Leon on not picking AZ Martinez as final duo: 'She knows our relationship won't change'
All is well between Ralph De Leon and AZ Martinez, despite not being each other's final duo partners on 'Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.' Ralph was the first housemate to choose his duo after being the first to complete the final duo formation task. AZ stepped forward while Ralph was choosing, but the Kapamilya actor chose Will Ashley as his final duo because 'hindi pa po talaga ako nagka opportunity to become a duo with Will.' Ralph and AZ, who have been duos before and have formed a close bond, already previously discussed Ralph's old promise to Will that they would be each other's final duo. 'I know what working experience we have together as a duo, and I also wanted to explore that with Will,' Ralph said about AZ. While still sad that she wasn't chosen, AZ was happy for Ralph and Will, and congratulated them afterwards with a big hug. 'Eh alam ko naman sino pipiliin niya bat pa 'ko mag-se-step forward. Pero naisip ko din, hindi naman ako nagpapakatotoo 'pag di ako mag-se-step forward,' AZ told Kuya. Ralph also said that AZ and Will are the closest Kapuso to him and that they were his Top 2 choices. 'I was happy they had the courage to step forward and actually let me know din po na gusto din nila 'ko maka final duo,' he said.
