'DRPH: Slaysian Royale': Khianna bags first RuBadge of the season
The pilot episode of "Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale" was certainly not lacking in charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent! This season's 12 queens — Arizona Brandy, Bernie, Brigiding, Ivory Glaze, Khianna, Kitty Space, Madame Yoko, Siam PhuSri, Suki Doll, Sum Ting Wong, Yuhua, and Viñas DeLuxe — kicked things off with the Miss Shutacca pageant. The competition featured three segments: From Roots to Runway (national costumes), Ruveal Yourself (evening gowns), and a Q&A portion. Khianna and Siam PhuSri emerged as the top queens, while Sum Ting Wong and Madame Yoko landed in the bottom. In this season's format, the top queens lip sync for their legacy and decide who goes home. In the end, Khianna claimed the first RuBadge of the season and sent Belgium's Madame Yoko home. At a Bekenemen viewing party hosted by Baus Rufo and Myx Chanel, the Cagayan de Oro queen admitted she didn't expect the first win of the season. 'I am so proud of myself,' Khianna said. 'Hindi ko in-expect kasi feeling ko nananaginip lang ako sa loob.' She added, 'We worked hard sa mga ginawa namin sa loob kaya sana mag-enjoy kayo sa episode kasi I did my most.'
