Can Bills' 'Borderline Elite' Roster Claim Super Bowl Glory? originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Buffalo Bills' roster, as things stand, could be seen as one of the better units in football.
After an offseason that has seen general manager Brandon Beane go to work on the team's roster holes with a host of defensive players signed in free agency, not to mention Buffalo's first five draft picks were all used on defense, improvement is expected.

Josh Allen and the offense appear set, with the additions of Joshua Palmer and Elijah Moore to offset the losses of Mack Hollins and Amari Cooper. Plus, Buffalo didn't have any big losses in free agency, so the majority of the roster from last season returns.
But do the Bills have a "complete" roster? When ranking the top-10 best rosters, NFL.com's Eric Edholm has Buffalo at No. 5.
"Buffalo boasts a strong roster, even a borderline elite one," Edholm writes. "There must be improvements on special teams, and the defensive depth could cause some early season worries, but this remains one of the more talented NFL squads."

Buffalo's biggest issue last season was its pass rush, and Beane signed Joey Bosa, Michael Hoecht, and Larry Ogunjobi in free agency to bolster it. Plus, the drafting of corner Maxwell Hairston, defensive tackle T.J. Sanders, and edge Landon Jackson with the first three picks, the Bills' defense appears better on paper.

There aren't too many worries on offense, aside from James Cook's contract situation, and for some, another receiver is needed. Aside from that, Buffalo has a well-rounded roster and one that can push for Super Bowl glory in 2025.
But is the roster "only" the fifth-best in football? That, my friends, is in the eye of the beholder.

Cowboys' Micah Parsons Announces Major Statement

Cowboys' Micah Parsons Announces Major Statement originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Micah Parsons being in and out of Dallas Cowboys OTAs wasn't the biggest of deals, with the All-Pro making his way to The Star after the most recent practice. Advertisement But with his contract situation still not resolved, all eyes are on mandatory mini-camp next week and whether or not "The Lion" will be in attendance. "I expect to see him," head coach Brian Schottenheimer said. And now Micah himself has confirmed his attendance via X regardless of whether a deal is done or not. "I will be there! I haven't missed a mini camp in 4 years! Even though the contract is not done, I have teammates and a playbook ! I'm preparing as if I will be on the field the first week of camp! But it's in the owner's hands. I'm ready to win a Super Bowl !" Micah Parsons And Brian SchottenheimerTony Fisher Cue a collective sigh of relief with perhaps Dallas' best player not letting his contract situation interfere with his football. Advertisement Of course, in an ideal world, Dallas and Micah would come to terms sooner rather than later, but with Parsons expected to fetch a contract around $40 million APY, Jerry Jones stated that No. 11 must be the player he wants to be paid like. And that means showing up for work. Which Parsons has done to a degree during OTAs, and now he's confirmed he'll be at The Star next week for the mandatory portion of this early offseason work. Part of a new-look leadership group, Parsons knows the value of being there for his teammates and to learn a new playbook. So with or without a contract, Micah will be present next week. Trevon Diggs has been away from the Dallas Cowboys as he continues his knee rehab in Miami, but a continued absence could end up running him a cost of at least $500,000. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. FRISCO — Almost all Dallas Cowboys have reported to The Star for organized team activities in recent weeks. Even Micah Parsons, still handling contract disputes with team leadership, has made some appearances around the facility in spots. Advertisement The lone man out of action? Star cornerback Trevon Diggs. The five-year pro has continued his rehab a surgically repaired left knee... in Miami. When head coach Brian Schottenheimer addressed reporters Tuesday, he made it clear that all parties appear to be on the same page here. He noted that he has spoken with Diggs who has checked in with team doctors. Make no mistake, the wish from the Cowboys side is for Diggs to perform his rehab with the team, as Stephen Jones details. "Our understanding is he's getting the work done and he'll be back in, and we'll get a good look at him next week [at the minicamp]." Advertisement This situation has a similar feel to last offseason when the Cowboys harbored some frustrations with Diggs' approach to his ACL rehab. However, Dallas' No. 1 corner has more to lose at this juncture. According to a stipulation in Diggs' contract, he is in danger of losing $500,000 by virtue of his continued absence from the Cowboys' offseason program. To avoid the fine, he must participate in 84.375% of the club's activities. (As noted by ESPN.) Diggs has missed the first two phases in the offseason program and has yet to take part in OTAs. Those are in fact voluntary, but the team's mandatory minicamp is set to begin a week from Tuesday on June 10 and run through June 12. Absence from those dates would also draw a separate fine. The Cowboys certainly want him back around the team headquarters though there is a strong possibility Diggs will start the season on the PUP list. Advertisement "[We] won't have a feel for when he's going to be able to get in the middle of everything until we get to training camp when we're with him day in and day out and see how he's progressing," Jones said. Diggs' limited availability over the last two seasons has been a thorn in the Cowboys' side especially after the extension they signed him to before the 2023 campaign. However these coming weeks unfold, the Cowboys' ultimate goal is to get Diggs back on the field and ready to compete at a high level again. Cowboys Players Rally Around Brian Schottenheimer's 'Brotherhood Energy'

Cowboys Players Rally Around Brian Schottenheimer's 'Brotherhood Energy' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. It might only be early in the Brian Schottenheimer era for the Dallas Cowboys, but his presence is already being felt across the board. Advertisement With a family-oriented approach to his players, he brings a "different vibe" and energy to practice, which is something that the locker room and even past players love. "I think it's huge for the success of this football team," Tyler Smith said of Schottenheimer's approach. "Establishing the culture early and getting everybody on board is ultimately our goal. Schotty talks about it every day, but we're gonna compete everyday. "The ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl." That's the view from a player who is a Pro Bowler at the very top of the depth chart. What's it look like from a lower rung? 'It's every single day when you come into the building,' running back Deuce Vaughn said of Schottenheimer's energy. 'All the coaches as well, it really energizes us. It makes us really excited to come into the building every single day and put in the work. It really feels good whenever you're able to go out to practice and you're jumping around, listen to music, you're with your guys, and it's really the brotherhood we're trying to build.' Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, quarterback Dak Prescott (4) and running back Deuce Vaughn (42) celebrate a Heitman-Imagn Images Hmm, that word. Brotherhood. Advertisement We had heard about that over the past couple of seasons, but with Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence's social media blowup, it appeared to be all a facade. Maybe now, it isn't. Said team leader Dak Prescott, who speaks on "brotherhood'' more than anybody around here: "(Schottenheimer) is doing a hell of a job'' building a new culture in Dallas. Schottenheimer is doing all the right things to get his players pulling in the same direction. Yes, it is June, but this can't be denied now. The locker room appears bonded, with no one wanting to be "the" player who lets the team down. That's powerful. Too many have spoken glowingly of what Schotty is building both on and off the field to deny what is transpiring. His first crack at a head coaching role has gotten off to a solid start. Advertisement Now, we aren't proclaiming him to be anything yet, but he's got a vision for how he wants his team to act and play. And he's making sure they are all on the same page, with energy and vibes the key to everything the Cowboys will do under Schottenheimer's watch.
