Richard Simmons, a fitness icon, has died. He was 76.
Simmons, who was known for his "Sweatin' to the Oldies" workout videos, just celebrated his 76th birthday on Friday.
Simmons' longtime rep Tom Estey confirmed his death to Fox News Digital on Saturday.
An LAFD spokesperson told Fox News Digital that first responders were dispatched for a cardiac arrest of a 76-year-old man at Simmons' Los Angeles home, without identifying Simmons as the patient. The patient was pronounced dead at the scene of natural causes, LAFD said.

"I never got so many messages about my birthday in my life!" Simmons wrote on his social media on Friday.
The former fitness coach, who stepped away from the spotlight 10 years ago, told People magazine in an interview this week that he was "grateful" to be "alive for another day" following his skin cancer diagnosis.

He said he planned to blow out a candle to mark the occasion, but "But the candle will probably be on a zucchini. You know, I'm a vegetarian."

"I am grateful that I'm here, that I am alive for another day," he continued. "I'll spend my birthday doing what I do every day, which is to help people."
In March, Simmons revealed to his followers he had been diagnosed with skin cancer. He took to Facebook to detail the moment he found out about the diagnosis and the procedure he underwent in an attempt to remove the cancer cells.
Simmons announced his diagnosis a day after worrying fans with a social post in which he said he was "dying."
"I have some news to tell you. Please don't be sad. I am ….dying," he wrote at the time.

He continued, "The truth is we all are dying. Every day we live we are getting closer to our death. Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to enjoy your life to the fullest every single day. Get up in the morning and look at the sky… count your blessings and enjoy. "
His rep confirmed to Fox News Digital at the time that he was not dying and the post was meant to be inspirational.
After news of his death broke, social media was flooded with tributes to Simmons.
"My heart is broken with the loss of this super special human," Ricki Lake wrote on X. "May he RIP. #richardsimmons I loved him so so much."

Simmons first became famous in the late 1970s with "The Richard Simmons Show," appearances on game shows and late-night TV and his "Sweatin' to the Oldies" workout videos, which were first released in 1988.
"The Richard Simmons Show" earned two Daytime Emmys for for best direction and best talk show.
Simmons was beloved for his upbeat and goofy personality and for connecting with regular people who wanted to get fit using his unintimidating workout videos.
"My food plan and diet are just two words — common sense. With a dash of good humor," he told The Associated Press in 1982. "I want to help people and make the world a healthier, happy place."
He was born on July 12, 1948, in New Orleans and later moved to Los Angeles, where he lost more than 100 pounds before opening up The Anatomy Asylum gym in Beverly Hills in 1974.
After decades in the limelight, Simmons suddenly stopped teaching at his workout studio in 2014 and retreated from public life altogether. His disappearance sparked a podcast titled "Missing Richard Simmons," as well as numerous conspiracy theories alleging he was being held hostage in his Hollywood Hills home by his housekeeper.

Pauly Shore was also in talks to make a biopic about Simmons' life, but the 76-year-old said in January that it didn't have his backing.
"I just got word like everyone else that the beautiful Richard Simmons has passed," Shore wrote on X on Saturday. "I hope you're at peace and twinkling up in the heavens. Please give my mother Mitzi and my father Sammy a big hug and a kiss for me. You're one of a kind, Richard. An amazing life. An amazing story. They broke the dolphin shorts when they made you. Rest in peace, my friend. Rest in peace."

Emmy On-Screen Diversity Takes A Hit With Acting & Hosting Nominations Down 18% From 2024

Twenty-eight actors and reality hosts from diverse backgrounds were recognized by the Television Academy with Emmy nominations on Tuesday, not only an 18% drop from last year's 34 but a near-low since 2019, when there were 26 non-Caucasian actors and hosts. At its highest, the most diverse year for actors and reality competition/talk show hosts was 2021 per Deadline stats with a massive 49 nominees. More from Deadline Primetime Emmy Nominations: 'Severance' Leads Field Ahead Of 'The Penguin', 'The Studio' & 'The White Lotus' – Full List 'Squid Game,' Diego Luna & Elisabeth Moss Snubbed In Emmy Nominations; Beyoncé & Martin Scorsese Among Big Surprises Jenny Slate On Emotional Journey To First Emmy Nomination For 'Dying For Sex': "I Knew Enough About Myself To Let It All Go" While there were only two categories last year devoid of nominees from diverse backgrounds (Guest Actor Comedy Series and Lead Actor in Limited Series, Anthology or Movie), this year there were three (Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Guest Actress in a Drama Series and Lead Actor in a Comedy Series). RELATED: The most diverse acting categories were Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series with Jessica Williams (Apple TV+'s Shrinking), Sheryl Lee Ralph (ABC's Abbott Elementary), Janelle James (Abbott Elementary), and Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) who made Emmy history last year as the first Latina to win the category. This is Colón-Zayas' second nomination. Another Emmy acting slot representing the most thespians of color was Lead Actress in a Comedy Series with Uzo Aduba (her sixth Emmy nom, for Netflix's The Residence, in a three-time Emmy-winning career), Ayo Edebiri with The Bear (who scored two Emmy noms this year in this category and comedy directing her Bear episode 'Napkins'), and Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary. RELATED: Had Diego Luna received a Best Actor in a Drama Series nom for Andor, it would have repped the first time two Latino actors shared the slot, the sole nominee this year in the category being Pedro Pascal for HBO's The Last of Us, his fourth career nom. Pascal is the second Latino nominee in the slot to be nominated more than once after NYPD Blue's Jimmy Smits' five-Emmy-nom streak from 1995 to 1999. Edebiri is the first Black woman to be nominated for acting and directing categories in a single year. She is also the youngest Black woman, at 29, to reach three Emmy acting noms in her career. She won best supporting actress comedy series in 2023 for her turn as Sydney Adamu on The Bear. She was nominated for a DGA Comedy Series directing award earlier this year for 'Napkins.' Abbott Elementary creator, EP and star Brunson counts 11 Primetime Emmy noms now in her career, having already won two for Outstanding Comedy Series Writing in 2022 and Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2023. She also nominated in the comedy series writing category for a third time this year, the first time a Black woman has achieved that benchmark with a single series. Brunson is tied with Stefani Robinson (Atlanta and What We Do in the Shadows) with the most writing Emmy noms by a Black woman. Brunson is also the first Black Woman to win for comedy writing. With his lead actor drama series nom for Hulu's Paradise, Sterling K. Brown ties with Don Cheadle and Andre Braugher with an overall 11 Emmy career noms across various categories. This is Brown's fifth Lead Actor in a a Drama Series nomination; he is a three-time Emmy winner, in 2016 for Limited Series Supporting Actor for FX's American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson, 2017 for Lead Actor Drama in This Is Us, and Outstanding Narrator in 2021 for Lincoln: Divided We Stand. Saturday Night Live's Bowen Yang is the only AAPI standout this year among noms, the sketch player landing a supporting comedy actor nom. Yang is now the most nominated Asian American actor in the Emmy books with four. Kristen Kish receives her second Emmy nom in Outstanding Host for Reality or Reality Competition for Top Chef. The TV Academy overlooked key performances from Asian actors and actresses in The White Lotus, The Studio and Squid Game. Other shoutouts: First-time nominees include Zach Cherry and Travel Tillman both in Supporting Actor for Apple TV+'s Severance, Anthony Mackie for playing himself in the streamer's The Studio in the Best Actor Comedy slot, also Zoë Kravitz for Guest Comedy Actress on The Studio, Javier Bardem as the twisted father in Netflix's Monsters in Supporting Actor Limited Anthology, and Ashley Walters in Limited Series Anthology for Netflix's Adolescence. There's also Ruth Negga, who is already a 2017 Best Actress Oscar nominee for Loving, who lands her first Emmy nom for Apple TV+'s Presumed Innocent in the Limited Anthology Series Supporting Actress category. Rashida Jones gets her second career Emmy nom and first above-the-line acting nom in the Lead Actress Limited Series Anthology category for Black Mirror. She was previously recognized in the 2015 documentary filmmaking category for her non-fiction feature Hot Girls Wanted. Other actors from diverse backgrounds recognized in today's noms include Bryan Tyree Henry in Limited Actor Anthology Series for Apple TV+'s Dope Thief, Natasha Rothwell in Supporting Actress for HBO's The White Lotus, Colman Domingo for Supporting Actor Comedy Series for Netflix's The Four Seasons, Cynthia Erivo for Peacock's Poker Face in Guest Actress Comedy Series, Giancarlo Esposito for Prime Video's The Boys in Guest Actor Drama Series, Forest Whitaker for Disney+'s Andor in Guest Actor Drama Series, Jeffrey Wright for HBO's The Last of Us in Guest Actor Drama Series, RuPaul Charles for RuPaul's Drag Race in Reality or Reality Competition Host and Daymond John in Reality or Reality Competition Host for ABC's Shark Tank. Sarah Jessica Parker Got Real Weird When Asked About Lauren Sánchez's Vogue Cover

She couldn't help but wonder WTF to say. On Sunday's episode of 'Watch What Happens Live! After Show,' host Andy Cohen decided to play a little game with his guest, actor Sarah Jessica Parker. The game was simple. Cohen would bring up a topic in pop culture, and Parker would respond with her iconic 'Sex and the City' line — 'Hello, lover' — if she approved of it. Parker was pretty easygoing during the game until a photo of Lauren Sánchez Bezos popped up on the screen and Cohen asked the 'And Just Like That…' star what she thought of Mrs. Amazon's new Vogue cover. On the magazine's June 2025 digital cover, Sánchez Bezos can be seen showcasing the wedding dress she wore to marry billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in Venice, Italy, last month. In response to Cohen's question, Parker stammered a bit, seeming completely tongue-tied. After pausing and pursing her lips, she muttered, 'Um… I—' before raising her hands in frustration and shrugging her shoulders. Eventually, the actor came up with a diplomatic answer. 'I mean, why shouldn't she? I was... why shouldn't she, as well, have the opportunity?' Parker said, referring to the numerous times she has been on the U.S. cover of Vogue herself. '...Alright,' Cohen eventually said before quickly moving on to another topic. 'Oh, I should have said, 'Hello, lover,'' Parker awkwardly remembered before she much more enthusiastically reviewed 'Love Island USA,' the next item on the list. Despite Parker's uh, mixed review, her hesitation could be due to her distaste for trash talk. Last month, she opened up on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast about the harsh comments she's received online about her own appearance. 'I didn't feel like it was actually a conversation,' Parker told the podcast about the hate she received. 'I didn't feel like I could sit in a room and someone would say to me, 'You're really unattractive,' and then I could say, 'Wow. Well, first of all, that's hard to hear. But second of all, why do you seem angry about it, or why do you feel it's necessary to comment?'' Maxx Crosby Makes Personal Announcement Before Training Camp

Maxx Crosby Makes Personal Announcement Before Training Camp originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Las Vegas Raiders have been one of the worst teams in the NFL over the last two decades. Since the team went to the Super Bowl in 2002, the Raiders have won only 35.9% of their contests and been to the playoffs just twice, earning no victories in that span. Advertisement A major component of this continued failure has been an inability to find quality players in the NFL Draft. The franchise has a bad habit of picking busts in the early rounds and finding no value on Days 2 or 3. But in 2019, the Silver and Black selected Eastern Michigan edge rusher Maxx Crosby with the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round, who has turned into one of the best players in the league at his position. Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby (98).Reggie Hildred-Imagn Images Crosby is now entering his seventh professional season with the Raiders and has four Pro Bowls and two Second-Team All-Pro honors under his belt. Ahead of training camp, Crosby made a personal announcement, which is that he will be releasing a music EP soon. Advertisement "Dropping An EP Before Season," Crosby wrote. "Haven't Put Anything Out In Years. Gonna Show Yall A Hobby Of Mine. PRESSURE. 🔥🔥🔥." Upon his arrival in Oakland as a rookie, Crosby impressed Raider Nation with his freestyle rapping ability in the locker room on HBO's Hard Knocks. As his fandom has grown every year, Crosby has continued to diversify his ventures off the field. He started his own podcast, "The Rush With Maxx Crosby," and has invested in several brands and events, thanks in part to his three-year, $106.5 million extension he struck this offseason with new general manager John Spytek. On the field, Crosby will be reporting to Raiders training camp on Tuesday, July 22, with the rest of the team's veterans. He and head coach Pete Carroll will be preparing for their first season together with the Silver and Black, which begins on the road against the Patriots.
