He has written 16 plays including Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme, Carthaginians and Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, and 20 adaptations of European classics. His version of Ibsen's A Doll's House won a Tony award.

Zara Larsson announces Dublin date in the 3Arena
This comes as Larsson announced the release of her fifth studio album Midnight Sun, set for release on September 26. The Clean Bandit singer said: 'In thinking about this album, I thought, 'What do I want to say? What do I want this to be?'. I really am proud of my Swedish pop heritage, so I wanted to write about a Swedish summer where the sun never goes down. 'And it doesn't matter if it's December: the summer night will be there for you. It's waiting for you, it will come back for you, and you will come back for it.' The album was created over the last year with frequent collaborator MNEK, alongside producer Margo XS and songwriter Helena Gao. The European arena tour will kick off in Munich, Germany on October 28 at Zenith Arena, after which Zara will go on to perform in Dublin's 3Arena on November 7 and Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome on the 12, followed by a run of Nordic arenas culminating in a homecoming show at Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden on November 28. Larsson's run of live shows in support of Midnight Sun officially kicks off with her opening slot on Tate McRae's Miss Possessive Tour across North America, which begins on August 4 in Vancouver, BC, with stops along the way at major arenas like New York's Madison Square Garden culminating in back-to-back shows at The Forum in Los Angeles on September 26 and 27, in line with the album release. The singer has also released her first-ever live dates in Australia and New Zealand for February 2026 supporting American pop rock band OneRepublic. Tickets for the 3Areana will go on sale on Ticketmaster at 10 am June 13 with pricing from €41.20 - €61.85, with an artist presale running at 10am June 11.

A REPORTER has accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of drugging and raping her after she tried to get an interview in the midst of his sex trafficking trial. He would allegedly ply attendees and sex workers with drugs before filming them in compromising positions, and use the tapes as blackmail. At the center of the charges is his relationship with ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who broke the story wide open when she sued the mega producer in November 2023. In that suit, she accused her ex-lover of raping and beating her, as well as forcing her to take part in the sometimes days-long freak-offs. After the lawsuit was filed and settled out of court, dozens of alleged victims came forward with legal complaints of their own, where they described harrowing brushes with the rapper. Now, Steininger, who is an Austrian national, has claimed in an interview that she was also targeted by the mega producer when she was just 19 years old. In March 2000, the budding journalist scored an on-camera interview with Combs during his European tour, she told Austrian broadcaster But at some point during the chat, she claims she was separated from her cameraman and given a drink by Combs, which she believes was drugged. Steininger claimed she was going to take the stand as part of Combs' ongoing trial, but said her story was out of the statute of limitations because she and Diddy were overseas. After getting that news, she chose to break her anonymity and join the growing chorus of women and men urging for justice. The accuser claimed the alleged attack left her with post-traumatic stress disorder and that she was unable to work. Combs is standing trial at the Southern District of New York Courthouse in Lower Manhattan - an intimidating federal courthouse where the cases of Ghislaine Maxwell, Donald Trump, and Bernard Madoff, among others, were tried. Once a powerful founder of a music and business empire, Combs has been reduced to a defendant, inmate 37452-054, stripped of his mogul status, and now standing trial on five federal charges with the full wrath of the United States government against him. When I attended Day 3 of jury selection at the federal courthouse on May 7, the buzz around the start of the trial was palpable. Hours before the courthouse opened its doors, more than a dozen reporters and members of the public stood in line in hopes of securing a seat in the gallery for the high-profile trial. As you walk through the glass door entrance of the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse, you are met by bulletproof vest-clad court officers. All visitors must separate their electronic devices from their personal belongings, which are passed through a metal detector. Combs entered with his hands pressed together, greeted his defense team before he examined the gallery, and locked eyes with reporters and potential jurors. The 55-year-old disgraced Bad Boy Records executive was attentive and engaged with his counsel as they grilled dozens of potential jurors. As jury selection wrapped up for the day, Combs embraced each of his female defense attorneys before he mouthed "thank you" to a handful of supporters in the gallery. I attended trial again as opening statements got underway on May 12 and the world media waited anxiously outside the federal courthouse before the sun rose in Lower Manhattan. A line stretched down the block from the federal courthouse as some members of the media and from the public camped out overnight to try to obtain a coveted seat inside the gallery. At least three overflow rooms were made available for reporters and the public, who are eager to witness the prosecutions case against the music mogul. At least half a dozen members of Combs' family arrived at the courthouse as spectators filed in single order to enter the federal building to turn over all their electronic devices. Manchester United and Republic of Ireland icon Roy Keane has dismissed Thierry Henry's praise for ex-Arsenal and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole as being the best left-back he's witnessed. The Englishman carved out an illustrious tenure in north London starting from 1999, swiftly becoming a stalwart under Arsene Wenger and clinching two Premier League titles, alongside three FA Cups, contributing significantly to Arsenal's memorable 2003/04 Invincibles season. Despite Cole's over 200 appearances for the Gunners, his legacy was tinged by his contentious transfer to Chelsea in 2006, leading Henry to lament the lack of recognition for Cole as one of European soccer's supreme left-backs, with Keane offering a contrary viewpoint. "There is a guy that I want to talk about, who I don't understand why in this country he doesn't get his respect: Ashley Cole," Henry expressed on The Overlap's Stick to Football podcast. In response to Keane, Henry defended Cole's legacy, particularly in light of his contentious transfer from Arsenal to Chelsea, asserting: "Ashley Cole is an Arsenal man. "His whole family supports Arsenal. But I can understand why he left at the time. In 2005, David Dein shook hands on a deal, but he came back with something else. "With Ashley moving to Chelsea, people don't give him the respect he deserves for everything that he has done. But for me, Cole was outstanding."
