FSU baseball vs. Bethune-Cookman: Live coverage of the Tallahassee Regional
The NCAA Baseball Tournament started on Friday, and the FSU baseball team is set to hit the field. The Seminoles are the No. 9 overall seed and will play the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in the first game of the Tallahassee Regional at 3 p.m. ET on the ACC Network.
FSU is looking to make another deep postseason run under head coach Link Jarrett, while the Wildcats are looking for their first-ever win over the Seminoles. Florida State leads the all-time series 9-0 and is 5-0 in the postseason, this is Bethune-Cookman's fifth time being in the Tallahassee Regional.
The Seminoles are the heavy favorites to win the regional, but it is important to win the first game of the double-elimination tournament and they will face some tough competition. The good news is that they have been excellent at home all season, going 24-7 and have even picked up a win over the Wildcats. They beat them 9-7 in a midweek game back in March.

Top of the First: Joey Volini escapes jam with a double-play
Bethune-Cookman started the game with back-to-back singles to put some early pressure on Volini and FSU. A flyout advanced both runners with one out. The Seminoles were able to escape as Gage Harrelson caught a line drive in right field and doubled Andrey Martinez off second base to keep it a 0-0 game.

He recorded four strikeouts and will look to carry the momentum into his biggest start of the season.

Per Crawford: "Make no mistake -- this should be a stout defense for the Crimson Tide, especially considering cornerbacks tandem Zabien Brown and Domani Jackson are being discussed as one of the best in the conference. But if there's one area of concern, it's the ability to produce havoc numbers on the interior and edge since Alabama's inexperienced beyond James Smith and nose tackle Tim Keenan III. The Crimson Tide need a difference-making campaign out of LT Overton, who has best-in-the-conference type of potential." Overton was recently named to the 2025 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List, along with linebacker Deontae Lawson. Lawson's 76 tackles were second on the team last year behind linebacker Jihaad Campbell, who departed for the NFL after a terrific junior season.
