NOTRE DAME WILL WIN OUT FOR FOUR-STAR EDGE RODNEY DUNHAM
Rivals250 edge defender Rodney Dunham will come off the board on April 20 – choosing among Duke, Georgia, Notre Dame, South Carolina and Tennessee. Dunham made visits back to each of his finalists this spring before electing to shut his recruitment down midway through the spring.

Our intel points to a tight battle among South Carolina, Georgia and the Irish, who hosted Dunham and his family in late March before setting a date. Our pick is on Notre Dame to bolster its 2026 class with the elite target.

GEORGIA WILL BE THE PICK FOR BLUE-CHIP SAFETY JORDAN SMITH
Four-star South Georgia safety Jordan Smith is gearing up for official visits beginning with a trip back to Georgia on May 30 before stops at Georgia Tech, Florida State and Tennessee. Of that group, The Vols have been pressing very hard for the blue-chipper along with the Dawgs, who have emerged as the team to beat at this point in the calendar.

Our intel points to Georgia being the team to beat ahead of a pivotal stretch of visits. Our prediction is the Dawgs will keep Smith in-state.

OLE MISS IS THE PICK FOR ELITE QB LANDON DUCKWORTH
Landon Duckworth has taken a calculated approach to his recruitment. The elite 2026 passer from Alabama has made a pair of visits to Ole Miss in the past three months as the Rebels continue to pad their standing with the touted QB target, and will get the last crack at Duckworth with a June 20 official visit.
Lane Kiffin, Charlie Weis Jr., Kelvin Bolden and the Rebels staff have made Duckworth a top priority in this class and are beginning to distance themselves from the pack.
Despite strong interest from Georgia, Florida State and South Carolina, our prediction is on Ole Miss to land Duckworth.

Spartanburgers' Jones earns SAL honor
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Minor League Baseball and the South Atlantic League have named Hub City Spartanburgers' outfielder Keith Jones II as South Atlantic League Player of the Week for the week of June 2–8. Jones is the first Hub City position player to win a SAL honor. 'Keith's consistency day in and day out has led him to where he is, and where he's going,' said Drew Sannes, Spartanburgers' hitting coach. 'There's been some small adjustments getting him back to who he knows he can be on a nightly basis, but the dedication to the work & process really sets him apart.' Jones bashed four doubles and three home runs last series against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. All three long balls came over the final four games of the series. In total, his seven extra-base hits were the most of any High-A hitter. The New Mexico State product played in all six games of the series and smashed nine hits on the way to a .409 batting average and a 1.500 OPS for the week. 'It's exciting when he steps to the plate because you know there's going to be a quality at bat that could end up changing the outcome of any game,' said Sannes. 'We're excited to see where his continued work leads him moving forward over the next few months.' Hub City's outfielder, the Rangers' ninth round pick in 2024, is the first Spartanburgers field player to win a South Atlantic League award, but second 'Burger overall. Right-handed starter David Davalillo won Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of April 15-20 and was also awarded May Pitcher of the Month. The Spartanburgers welcome the Wilmington Blue Rocks to Fifth Third Park for six games beginning June 10. Jones and crew will grace the diamond at 6:35 p.m. ET Tuesday to begin the series. Advertisement Kimbrel, a potential future Hall of Famer, began his career in Atlanta in 2010. From 2011, when he won National League Rookie of the Year, to 2014, Kimbrel made four All-Star Games, finished top-10 in Cy Young Award voting all four times, including two times in the top five, and garnered a top-10 Most Valuable Player finish. The 37-year-old right-hander struggled last year with the Baltimore Orioles, as he finished with a 5.33 ERA with 23 saves. The Orioles released him in September before he latched back on the with the Braves. Robert Edwards-Imagn Images At Triple-A Gwinnett and Double-A Columbus, Kimbrel pitched to a 1-1 record with a 2.00 ERA over 18 games. The Braves called him up to the majors last week. Rivals Camp Series: The five best QBs of the 2025 regionals
Editor's Note: This article first appeared on the leader in college football and basketball recruiting coverage. Be the first to know and follow your teams by signing up here. The regional stops of the Rivals Camp Series is in the books with the Rivals Five-Star at the Indianapolis Colts' practice facility coming up later this month. Today, we look at the best players at each position through the regional events starting with quarterback. RIVALS CAMP SERIES: Rivals Five-Star heading back to Indy | Rivals Five-Star roster | Schedule/info CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker Houston showed in Dallas that he has all the traits of an elite quarterback and it's why USC has made him its top priority in the 2027 class and many others, including Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M and LSU, are staying involved. The Shreveport (La.) Evangel Christian high four-star is not the biggest quarterback in the world but that's what everyone said about Kyler Murray, Bryce Young and so many others. In today's game, quarterback height is less important than ever before. Houston is a playmaker and even if a camp setting isn't the best for him, the four-star still delivered in a major way. Over the last few days, Jarrard has visited Purdue, Notre Dame and Clemson and heading into the Atlanta camp he had received offers from Georgia and Ohio State as the 2027 four-star from Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb is one of the hottest quarterbacks in the entire country. The ball pops off Jarrard's hand. He has velocity, timing and everything else to back up all the attention he's received on the recruiting trail. The Atlanta Camp was loaded at quarterback and even though Jarrard didn't win the MVP award, he was definitely impressive and one of the best QBs at any Rivals regional camp. To beat out Teddy Jarrard, North Carolina commit Travis Burgess, Mississippi State pledge Brodie McWhorter and others for the MVP award, Johnson had a phenomenal performance at the Atlanta camp which was one of many this offseason. The 2027 four-star quarterback from Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes was sharp, showed off great arm talent, had a clean motion throughout the event and then seemed to get better and better throughout the camp. It was a close race at the top but Johnson edged out some other elite quarterbacks. The five-star quarterback was fantastic as always at the Los Angeles stop and what's even more impressive is that a camp setting is not where Lyons does his best work. The Folsom, Calif., standout sat in the pocket and zipped passes all over the field. He knows when to dial it back a little bit and has such an unreal feel for receivers and immediately having chemistry with them. Lyons is best when he can freelance a little bit, escape pressure and make magic happen and that's not a camp setting but he was still great. Oregon, BYU, Michigan and others continue after him. It's hard to believe that Wade is a 2028 prospect because he has all the tools and is physically developed enough that it wouldn't be a shock to anyone if he reclassified because he doesn't need three more high school seasons. He's now the guy at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy and he should shine because he is a special prospect who will clearly be under five-star consideration. Wade was arguably the best quarterback at the loaded Los Angeles event, which is always so deep at the position. Even still, the 2028 prospect stood out. He has the total package from decision-making to arm talent and beyond. Oregon, Texas and others have already made an impression.
