Ever since his passing, a lot of fans have diverted their attention to the family, his wife Sharon and his kids, Aimee, Jack and Kelly. The family came together to say their final goodbyes to him on July 30, 2025, beneath Birmingham's Black Sabbath Bridge.
Out of the familiar faces in the crowd, people couldn't spot two of his eldest children, Jessica Osbourne and Elliot Kingsley. Their absence from the legendary singer's funeral has sparked interest of the keen fans, about the rockstar's lesser known family before Sharon. As the world grieves the loss of the late Sabbath's frontman, here's all we know about two of his oldest children:
Ozzy Osbourne's first family:
Ozzy Osbourne married his long-time manager Sharon, in 1982.
However, before Sharon, there was Thelma Riley, whom the rock star wed in 1971 and who stayed married to him for 11 years. Ozzy adopted Thelma's 1966-born son, Elliot Kingsley, from a prior relationship. He later had two biological children with Thelma: Louis Osbourne (1975) and Jessica Osbourne (1972).
Despite having a joyful start, Ozzy's drug abuse, infidelity, and the pressures of fame caused the marriage to slowly fall apart.
The metal superstar publicly acknowledged that he had missed a significant portion of Elliot, Jessica, and Louis's formative years and called his marriage to Thelma "a terrible mistake" in his 2010 memoir, 'I Am Ozzy'.
Elliot Kingsley, the forgotten son:
While most of Ozzy's children have some time or the other, the most elusive of them remains Elliot Kingsley, the son he adopted from his marriage to Thelma Riley. Elliot was born in 1966 and has been out of the public eye for almost his whole life.

Other than the fact that he is a singer and songwriter, not much is known about his adult life, profession, or present relationship with the Osbourne family.
Elliot's absence after Ozzy's passing has gone largely unexplained; neither was his name included in the official family statement, nor did he attend the funeral procession in Birmingham.
Ozzy Osbourne's First Daughter, Jessica Osbourne:
Ozzy Osbourne's eldest biological child is Jessica Osbourne, born in 1972 during his marriage to his first wife, Thelma Riley.
Like his other daughter, Aimee, Jessica has also largely remained under the radar throughout her life. Jessica talked openly about her strained connection with her father in the 2011 documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne. She described her "erratic" upbringing since Ozzy had largely been absent from her life.
She was quoted as saying:
'My recollection from my childhood with dad is that he'd be away for very long periods of time, and there'd always be a period of adjustment when he came home, and then it'd get to normality, and then he'd go again.
So, it was a very erratic childhood with dad.'
Ozzy was thrilled when Jessica called him to tell him he was now a grandfather during an episode of The Osbournes reality show. According to reports, Jessica, 53, is now a mother of three children. Her absence from the family's formal statement and following the funeral procession was not overlooked, despite the fact that she conveyed a tribute to her late father after his death.
Louis Osbourne: Ozzy's first son, who stayed close to the family:
Louis, Ozzy's first kid, has remained close to his father and his half-siblings from Sharon, in contrast to his other two siblings. Louis, a father of three, is now a well-known DJ and promoter in the UK. He has shown his love for Ozzy in a number of interviews. In a 2015 Birmingham Live interview, Louis spoke warmly of his close relationship with his father.
He said, 'Dad usually calls on a Sunday afternoon for a catch-up, and when he comes over to the UK, we take the kids down [to his home in Buckinghamshire].
Dad is great, very much a doting grandad.'
Louis also attended Ozzy's final performance, Back to the Beginning, which took place on July 5, 2025. According to the BBC, his Facebook post shows how much he loved and cared about the late rock star, even spending months worried about Ozzy's deteriorating health before to the performance.
Louis wrote, 'I was sobbing at times. It was everything we wanted it to be and more… I had been anxious for months about this, as I've been worried about my dad's ability to perform with his Parkinson's disease… But as soon as he started singing, we knew he was gonna nail it.'
On July 30, 2025, Louis walked alongside his stepmother, Sharon, and siblings Jack, Kelly, and Aimee during Ozzy's funeral procession.
Following Ozzy's death, an official statement signed by his wife, Sharon, and their kids served as confirmation for his distraught family. Fans soon pointed out, though, that Jessica and Elliot were not mentioned, despite the fact that Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis were. Their non-attendances at the family gatherings and the statement has raised questions about potential unresolved conflicts.

Celine Dion Mourns Ozzy Osbourne's Death: ‘He Was A True Original'
Celine Dion has remembered Ozzy Osbourne for his "boundless spirit and ear for melody". Celine Dion has hailed late label mate Ozzy Osbourne for his 'boundless spirit and ear for melody". Despite being on opposite ends of the music spectrum, the My Heart Will Go On hitmaker, 57, admired the late Crazy Train singer's talent and was 'deeply saddened" when she heard he had passed away on July 22, at the age of 76. Alongside a throwback picture of Ozzy, she penned on social media: 'I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy and I were label mates for many years – and although we came from very different musical universes, I always admired his boundless spirit and ear for melody on songs like 'Mama, I'm Coming Home'. He was a true original! Fearless, and simply larger than life… but also kind, thoughtful and generous." Tributes have poured in for the Black Sabbath frontman, who played his final concert just days before his death on July 5. Metallica's Robert Trujillo shared a moving post about Ozzy hours before attending his funeral in Birmingham on Wednesday (30.07.25). The bassist in the Nothing Else Matters band had a stint in the Prince of Darkness' solo band before he joined Metallica in late 1990s and early 2000s. Members of the group – who took part in Ozzy's epic Back To The Beginning concert earlier this month – were back in the city to pay their respects. Ahead of the funeral, Robert took to Instagram to thank Ozzy for all he did for him in the early days of his career and beyond, including bringing his old band, Infectious Grooves, to a wider audience. He began: 'Sadly, we're heading back to London today for Ozzy's funeral. I just want to say… 'Ozzy was the conduit for so many new relationships both creative collaborations and real, lasting friendships. 'I mean, Joe Holmes is Lullah's godfather, and Mike Bordin is Tye's godfather both of those connections came directly from my friendship with Ozzy. Because of Oz, Infectious Grooves was able to tour back in '91 as a brand-new band and at the time, it wasn't even really a band, just some fun songs we had recorded. We weren't ready to hit the road, but he made us step up and make it happen. He loved the song 'Therapy," which he guest appeared on and that really kicked it all off for Infectious in the '90s. He actually demanded we open for him on the 'Theater of Madness" tour. He'd say 'I'm your best friend Rob, I f****** love the bass and the funkier and heavier the better!" 'He was the gateway. (sic)" Robert went on to admit Ozzy could be 'so honest it hurt", but he'll never forget his sense of humour and the 'wild adventure" of touring with Ozzy and his guitarist Zakk Wylde. He continued: 'Ozzy was a humble man and sometimes so honest it hurt but his sense of humor made everything absolutely amazing. Touring with Ozzy and Zakk was always a wild adventure. Those two together… it was a crazy, awesome rollercoaster. 'We're all so thankful for his heart and soul. 'Ozzy and Black Sabbath were and still are the soundtrack to our lives. The inspiration they gave us is beyond words. The first real alternative rock band, in my opinion. Confirming Metallica would attend the funeral, he said: 'Now it's time to pay our respects, share our love, and offer our support to Sharon and the family. It's heartbreaking but we know Ozzy gave us everything he had in his final days." On taking part in Back To The Beginning, he said: 'I'm so honored that Lars, James, Kirk, and I (Metallica) got to celebrate with him, to share our music and Sabbath's music on such a special day in Birmingham. Being part of that meant so much to us." He signed off the tribute: 'Ozzy, RIP brother. We love you. @ozzyosbourne." view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive.
