Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming marketing in ways once unimaginable. From brands creating AI-generated videos to engage customers on social media to local businesses turning to tools like ChatGPT for advertisements, AI is setting a new standard in the marketing world. A saree shop in Bengaluru has caught the Internet's attention after it used Sam Altman's ChatGPT mobile interface for an ad.
In the viral post, the ChatGPT interface can be seen placed outside the shop, sharing information about the Varalakshmi Vratam festival, which will be observed on August 8 this year. According to ChatGPT, the festival is observed on the second Friday of the Shravan month. Sharing the post, an X user, Osborne Saldanha, wrote, 'Local saree shop in Bangalore using ChatGPT mobile interface for an ad is a first. Earlier it would be the Google search bar design. Just Bangalore things I guess.'

Another user wrote, 'Haha evolution starts happening in Bangalore first.'
'This saree shop has a lot of cool fin features: 1. BNPL 2. Pay for 11 months & get an extra months money free to buy a saree Etc,' a third user claimed.
In April, a video of a man using ChatGPT to communicate and negotiate with an auto-rickshaw driver in Kannada impressed the Internet. The viral video showed the man giving prompts to the platform. 'Hi ChatGPT, you have to help me in negotiating with the auto driver in Bengaluru. The auto driver is saying that the fare is Rs 200 and I am a student. Please negotiate it for Rs 100,' he said.
