AbCellera Receives Authorization from Health Canada to Initiate a Phase 1 Clinical Trial of ABCL575

Business Wire3 days ago

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AbCellera (Nasdaq: ABCL) today announced it has received a No Objection Letter (NOL) from Health Canada authorizing its Clinical Trial Application (CTA) for ABCL575, an investigational antibody antagonist targeting OX40 ligand (OX40L) that is being developed for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD), with potential applications to other inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.
The Phase 1 study is anticipated to begin in Q3 of 2025 and will evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetics of ABCL575 administered subcutaneously in healthy participants.
About ABCL575
ABCL575 is an investigative monoclonal antibody for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD), with potential applications to other inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. ABCL575 binds OX40L to disrupt OX40/OX40L signaling, a regulator of inflammatory pathways in AD. It has been engineered with a modified Fc domain to support Fc-silencing and half-life extension. In preclinical studies, ABCL575 shows potent inhibition of T cell-mediated inflammatory pathways, favorable tolerability, and an in vivo half-life that is expected to support less frequent dosing than current clinical-stage molecules. A Phase 1 clinical trial is anticipated to begin in Q3 of 2025.
About AbCellera Biologics Inc.
AbCellera (Nasdaq: ABCL) discovers and develops antibody medicines for indications across therapeutic areas, including cancer, metabolic and endocrine conditions, and autoimmune disorders. AbCellera's platform integrates technology, data science, infrastructure, and interdisciplinary teams to solve the most challenging antibody discovery problems. AbCellera is focused on advancing an internal pipeline of first-in-class and best-in-class programs and collaborating on innovative drug development programs with partners. Drug maker Indivior to abandon London stock market for the US

Drug maker Indivior has announced plans to delist its shares from the London Stock Exchange (LSE), marking the latest company to abandon the UK market for the US. However, the LSE welcomes Anglo-American's platinum spin-off Valterra after becoming independent from the mining giant. Indivior's exit comes after the company moved its primary listing to the US's Nasdaq index last year. It said cancelling the secondary listing in London eliminates 'cost and complexity' and better reflects the business – with more than 80% of its revenues generated in the US. It also said liquidity on the Nasdaq now 'far outweighs' that of the LSE with a greater level of trading. The US-based pharmaceutical firm makes prescription medicines to treat opioid addiction, and has a market capitalisation of £1.2 billion. 'A single primary listing on Nasdaq best reflects the profile of Indivior's business,' chairman David Wheadon said. 'We appreciate the support received from shareholders for this initiative and look forward to capitalising on the expected benefits of this move, including reductions in cost and complexity.' The LSE faced the largest exodus of companies since the global financial crisis in 2024, according to EY analysis. There were 88 companies to delist or transfer their primary listing from the main market – the most since 2009. At the same time, the LSE struggled to attract as many new companies to fill the gaps – with 18 new listings in total last year. Nevertheless, Indivior's exit, which will take effect from July 25, comes as Valterra Platinum makes its debut on the London market. Anglo American spun off its platinum business into the new entity, which has become the world's most valuable producer of the metal. Valterra will have its secondary listing on the LSE, with its primary on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Duncan Wanblad, Anglo American's chief executive, said: 'Valterra Platinum has been a major part of the company for many years but now is the right time for it to optimise its value creation prospects on an independent path – it's an outstanding business and team and I have every confidence that Valterra Platinum will thrive as a leader in the global platinum group metals industry.' E3 Lithium Provides Progress Update for the Demonstration Facility

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--E3 LITHIUM LTD. (TSXV: ETL) (FSE: OW3) (OTCQX: EEMMF), 'E3', 'E3 Lithium' or the 'Company,' a leader in Canadian lithium, is pleased to provide a progress update on its Demonstration Facility ('Demo Facility'). The Demo Facility is planned to be brought on stream in three phases through the second half of 2025 and into 2026. The lithium extraction equipment comprising of the 30-column Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) system (the '30-Column System'), as well as the purification and concentration equipment is now fully fabricated and undergoing final checks. The heart of the lithium production equipment is comprised of five separate skids, each containing a specific operation: Skids one and two host the 30-columns and the value control for the DLE system, skids 3 and 4 host the filtration and purification equipment and skid 5 houses the control center. The skids are expected to arrive and be assembled on site in the Clearwater Project area over the next six to eight weeks. E3 Lithium has also received the sorbent for the DLE columns and completed the majority of the payments for this equipment. Following arrival on site, the equipment will be assembled and undergo operational and safety checks, followed by final leak checks. Phase 1 will use brine hosted on site for the commissioning and operation of the 30-column system equipment to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate. It is expected that shortly after the drilling of the wells in Phase 2, the production well will be tied directly into the 30-column equipment and operate using a 'live' brine feed. Operation of a fully integrated system will enable E3 Lithium to optimize the process for factors such as recovery and flow rates and will provide important data for use in the design and costing of the commercial facility. The lithium carbonate produced will be used for customer interrogation and to potentially begin pre-qualification. Each phase of the Demo Facility is an important step towards validating the process technology and E3 Lithium's ability to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate from Leduc Brines at scale. The key objective of the Demo Facility is to de-risk the project design for E3 Lithium's full commercial scale Clearwater Project as the Company progresses towards completion of the Feasibility Study and securing of project financing. 'The team is very excited to see the equipment arrive on site,' commented E3 Lithium's CEO, Chris Doornbos. 'The Demo Facility will be one of the few systems of this kind globally to operate at this scale. It is a significant achievement for E3 Lithium to turn this design into a reality, and a major step forward to see it operate in the very near future.' Preparation for Phase 3 will increase as the first phase begins field operations and is expected to be installed in early 2026. ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS Chris Doornbos, President & CEO E3 Lithium Ltd.
