Some staff members have been left "bewildered" by the decision making process. This follows a number of chopping and changing in recent years.Sky already axed a number off fan-favourite presenters on their Soccer Saturday panel show. The channel later gave it a new look. The long-running Soccer AM was scrapped in 2023.Sky was recently involved in a row with Nottingham Forest. This occurred after pundit Gary Neville was banned from their final day clash with Chelsea. The ban stemmed from Neville's controversial comments about the club's owner, Evangelos Marinakis.Neville said he was forced to withdraw from the coverage after failing to receive accreditation from Forest. "I've had no choice but to withdraw from the coverage. I've dished out my fair share of criticism and praise in the last 14 years of doing this job and have never come close to this unprecedented action."

(AP) Novak Djokovic , 38, hinted at a potential farewell to Roland Garros after his defeat in the French Open semi-finals against world number one Jannik Sinner on Friday. The three-time champion lost 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (7/3) and took a moment to express gratitude to the Paris crowd after the match. But if this was the farewell match of Roland Garros for me in my career, it was a wonderful one in terms of the atmosphere and what I got from the crowd. Not the happiest because of the loss, but, you know, I tried to show my gratitude to the crowd, because they were terrific." Despite his occasionally strained relationship with the Parisian public, Djokovic praised the unprecedented support he received during the match. "I don't think I have ever received this much support in this stadium in my career in big matches against the best players in the world. So very, very honoured to experience that." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 배우 고현정도 먹는 '체지방' 빼는 '이것' 화제! 이렇게 빨리 빠질줄 몰랐어요.. 체지방 집중감소 新물질 더 알아보기 Undo The Serbian champion reassured fans about his immediate future in tennis, confirming his plans to continue competing in Grand Slams. Gautam Gambhir sends stern message after Bengaluru tragedy "At the moment I will try to stick with the plan what I had, which is play the Grand Slams. Those tournaments are the priorities of my schedule, my calendar. Wimbledon and US Open, yes, they are in plans. That's all I can say right now. I'm going to, unless something, I don't know, happens, whatever. But I feel like I want to play Wimbledon, I want to play US Open. Those two, for sure. For the rest, I'm not so sure." Djokovic remains focused on securing his record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title, which would surpass Margaret Court's record. "Obviously Wimbledon is next, which is my childhood favourite tournament. I'm going to do everything possible to get myself ready. I guess my best chances (of winning) maybe are Wimbledon, you know, to win another Slam, or faster hard court, maybe Australia or something like that." When questioned about his contemplation of retiring from Roland Garros, Djokovic responded enigmatically. "Not long. You know, I don't know. I don't know really what tomorrow brings in a way at this point in my career. You know, I going to keep on keeping on." Djokovic's history at Roland Garros spans 21 consecutive appearances, with championships in 2016, 2021, and 2023. He also claimed Olympic gold at the venue last summer. His opponent Sinner expressed hope that this wouldn't be Djokovic's final appearance in Paris. "We hope that it's not the case, because I feel like tennis needs him in a way. He said 'maybe', so you never know."

Dipika Kakar Out Of ICU After Cancer Surgery, Shoaib Ibrahim Shares Health Update

Last Updated: Last month, Dipika Kakar revealed that she is battling stage 2 liver cancer. Television actor Shoaib Ibrahim has shared the latest health update of his actress wife, Dipika Kakar. The latter, who was recently diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer, underwent a major surgery on June 3. On Friday, Shoaib took to his YouTube vlogs and revealed that Dipika is now out of the ICU. The actor shared that her condition is improving and that she is feeling better. 'Tomorrow is Eid Al Adha and today on such an auspicious day Dipika is out of the ICU. I am really grateful that she is out of the ICU and she is with us. She was in the ICU for three days and her condition kept improving after the surgery. Around evening, the doctors decided to shift her to the room. She will be here for a few days as the surgery was major, she was in the OT for 14 hours," he said. Shoaib further shared details of Dipika's 14-hour-long surgery and added, 'We all were tensed as doctors had mentioned it would be a long surgery. She was taken in at 8:30 am and she came out of the OT at 11:30 pm. I then met her when they shifted her to the ICU. At 6-7 pm, we all panicked as there was no update from the OT as we had never witnessed such a serious surgery. Thankfully, the doctor had assured me that if they don't come out for updates, then the surgery is going fine and she will be all well." Shoaib mentioned that during the surgery, doctors discovered that Dipika even had a stone in her gallbladder. 'The doctors even removed Dipika's gallbladder as they detected stone and they had to cut a small portion of the liver as the tumour was cancerous. The doctors mentioned that the liver is a self-restorative organ so it shall heal itself with time. So it is not something to be stressed about but we have to stay cautious and take good care," he shared. Last month, Dipika revealed that she is battling stage 2 liver cancer. The television star, known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, shared the heartbreaking update through an emotional Instagram note. After suffering intense stomach pain, doctors discovered a tumour 'the size of a tennis ball" in her liver, which was later confirmed to be cancerous. Since then, Shoaib has been sharing her health updates on social media. A few days ago, the actor had also shared an emotional video on their YouTube channel, calling it 'the toughest phase" of their lives while remaining hopeful about her recovery. 'Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, the scan report came out clear. The virus or its cells have not spread anywhere else in the body. Whatever is there is confined to the tumour, and once the tumour is surgically removed, Inshallah, things will get better," he said. First Published:

'Sir' David Beckham: English Icon Set To Be Knighted By King Charles III

Last Updated: The 50-year-old is set to be bestowed with the prestigious title 'Sir' by King Charles III in recognition of his services to the beautiful game and his charity work. Legendary English footballer David Beckham is set to be knighted next week in the King's Birthday Honours list, reports said on Friday. The 50-year-old is set to be bestowed with the prestigious title 'Sir' by King Charles III next week in recognition of his services to the beautiful game and his charity work. Beckham, who won 1115 international caps for the Three Lions, is set to join other illustrious names in British sporting history, including former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and tennis stalwart Andy Murray. Beckham was appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2003 before his wife and former Spice Girls star Victoria was conferred with the same for her services to the fashion industry. Beckham, who has been a UNICEF goodwill ambassador since 2005, is also part of the King's Foundation, lending support to educational initiatives to ensure a greater awareness amongst the next generation about nature. The former Manchester United star was set to receive the high honour back in 2012 for his efforts in bringing the Olympics to United Kingdom, but the nomination was put on fold following alleged tax evasion charges which were eventually dropped. Beckham made over 700 appearances in an illustrious career highlighted by his incredible free-kick abilities and pin-point long through passes. The iconic '7' clinched the Premier League title six times in addition to a UEFA Champions Trophy during his storied time at Man United under Ferguson. However, Beckham made the switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid following a spat with Ferguson in 2003, where he was part of the Galacticos up until the year 2007 as the Englishman opted for a switch to the USA with LA Galaxy. Beckham spent a couple of seasons on loan at Serie A heavyweights AC Milan before his switch to French side PSG, where he ultimately called time on his glittery career which included 127 goals across all competitions he played. Beckham announced his desire to exercise the option of buying an MLS expansion team, Inter Miami, in 2014 and has taken the development of the Florida-based side to exponential heights following his efforts to rope in Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
