Liverpool parade crash suspect pictured as he is charged with seven offences
Police said seven people were still recovering in hospital today after horrific clips showed a Ford Galaxy people carrier mowing down crowds just after the parade finished around 6pm.
A man has been charged with seven offences after a car ploughed into crowds celebrating Liverpool's Premier League title victory.
Paul Doyle, 53, from West Derby, Liverpool is accused of dangerous driving, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, wounding with intent to cause injury, and attempting to cause GBH with intent when he ploughed into football fans celebrating Liverpool FC's title win.
The dad of three was identified on May 29 and will appear at Liverpool Magistrates' court on Friday.
Police were stationed outside his family home this afternoon, where Doyle lives with his wife and their three sons.
Loved-up pictures on social media show the family enjoying various holidays including Disneyland Florida, Dubai and at the beach, reports the Mirror.
The pictures are a far cry from the dramatic scenes that unfolded on Water Street, where bloodied football fans and injured children had to be carried from the scene and rushed to hospital.
Police said seven people were still recovering in hospital today after horrific clips showed a Ford Galaxy people carrier mowing down crowds just after the parade finished around 6pm.
It remains unclear exactly what Doyle does for work, with a number of dissolved retail companies listed under his name on Companies House. His LinkedIn page says he is a former Royal Marine Commando and now works in IT.
In an update posted on Wednesday afternoon, police said the total number injured was now at 79, but more people had been discharged from hospital. Today it was revealed the casualties ' ages range between 9 and 78 years old.

Detective Superintendent Rachel Wilson said: 'I'm pleased to say that the number of people in hospital is reducing as they continue to recover from the awful incident. We continue to support those still receiving treatment and as part of our ongoing enquiries we are identifying more people who were injured.
'I want to reassure the public of Merseyside that detectives are making significant progress as we seek to establish the full circumstances that led to what happened."
Hundreds of thousands of Liverpudlians had lined the streets on Monday to celebrate Arne Slot's team winning a record-tying 20th top flight title.
As the open-top bus parade was nearing an end, witnesses described seeing a car enter a cordoned-off street just off the parade route and driving into fans, stopping briefly in the road before starting again.
Police confirmed that same evening they had arrested a 53-year-old British man in connection with the incident.

Little boy in 'serious condition' after being hit by car near Scots school
An investigation has been launched into the crash. A Scots schoolboy is in a "serious condition" in hospital after being hit by a car near an school in Edinburgh. The seven-year-old was struck by a vehicle on Ferry Road in the capital at around 6.30pm on Friday night. It is understood the crash took place near Oaklands Primary School. He was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People where he remains in a serious but stable condition. Cops remain at the scene and a cordon has been erected while they carry out full enquiries. An investigation has also been launched into the crash. Images from the scene show several police cars in the residential area and police tape cornering off the scene. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of a collision involving a car and a seven-year-old male pedestrian which happened on Ferry Road in Edinburgh shortly after 6.35pm on Friday, 30 May. "The boy has been taken to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People for treatment. His injuries are serious but not described as life threatening. Liverpool parade crash suspect Paul Doyle accused in court of ‘using vehicle as a weapon'
A former Royal Marine held back tears in court as he was accused of driving into Liverpool football fans at the club's victory parade on Monday evening. Paul Doyle, 53, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court charged with seven offences: two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, two counts of wounding with intent, two counts of attempted grievous bodily harm and one count of dangerous driving. Dozens of people queued outside the court beforehand to be present at the magistrates' court hearing, and police were on duty outside the building. Liverpool Magistrates' Court heard he was alleged to have "used his vehicle deliberately as a weapon". The father of three, from Croxteth in the city, looked emotional when he arrived at court from the cells and looked around at the dozens of reporters packing the courtroom. He spoke with a croaky voice, and only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. He gave no indication of a plea. The case was referred to Liverpool Crown Court, which is in the same building, and he appeared there soon afterwards. Recorder of Liverpool Judge Andrew Menary fixed a provisional trial date of 24 November, saying the case could last three to four weeks. Before that, a plea hearing is due to be held on 14 August. According to the dangerous driving charge, Doyle drove a Ford Galaxy Titanium dangerously on roads between his home address in Burghill Road and Water Street. Philip Astbury, prosecuting, told the court: "This is very much an ongoing investigation. There are many witnesses to be interviewed and a great deal of CCTV to be analysed." He said six of the charges reflected the more seriously injured of those struck by the vehicle, and the dangerous driving offence reflected the manner of driving. The charges relate to six victims, including two children aged 11 and 17, the court heard. The judge imposed reporting restrictions to prevent the victims from being identified publicly. Doyle, who wore a black suit, white shirt and grey tie, stood with his hands clasped and nodded as he was remanded in custody, before being led out of the dock by security guards. Seven people out of the 79 injured on Monday remained in hospital on Thursday, police said.
