Detroit Pistons vs Dallas Mavericks: When can NBA lovers in Mexico book tickets?

On Tuesday night, the NBA announced that the Detroit Pistons will be heading south of the border to play a premier international game, with the Pistons gearing up to tank again in 2025, and hopefully gear up with a better team
On Saturday, 1 November, Detroit will face the Dallas Mavericks at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. This marks the 34th time the NBA has held a game in Mexico since 1992.
For Dallas, this will be their eighth appearance in Mexico, while Detroit makes its third trip south. The game is expected to air live across Mexico, Latin America, and more than 200 countries and territories, according to the league's press release.

Tickets for the big event will be available soon. Pre-sales will be held on July 9 and 10, and public sales will start on July 11.
While it's not uncommon for the NBA to take regular-season games outside the U.S., this Pistons-Mavs showdown is shaping up to be a special one. Not only does it give both franchises an international spotlight, but it also brings their long-running head-to-head history to a global stage.
The upcoming game will be the 88th meeting between the Pistons and Mavericks. Detroit has historically had the upper hand, winning 45 of the 87 matchups so far. However, recent games have been more evenly matched. Over the last three seasons, the teams have split their regular-season series.

Last season, the two squads met in late January, though Dallas was without star guard Luka Doncic due to injury. The Pistons took full advantage and won 117-102. When they met again a couple of months later, the Mavs bounced back with a 123-117 victory.

Charles Barkley reveals what Oklahoma City Thunder needs to do to remain in the NBA Finals

Charles Barkley reveals what Oklahoma City Thunder needs to do to remain in the NBA Finals (Image Source: Getty) The Oklahoma City Thunder are on thin ice as the team lost the third game of the NBA Finals to the Indiana Pacers. The loss brought the game to a 2-1 status, putting the Thunder under immense pressure. Looking into the situation, sports analyst Charles Barkley, gave his perspective on the matter and warned Thunder that if they do not buckle up in Game 4, they might as well say goodbye to the Championship title. Barkley also mentioned the possibilities of what would happen if the Thunder do not tie the series in the next game. Charles Barkley shares analysis on how the Thunder can stay in the game After Game 3 was over, Barkley was spotted in a post-match talk where he gave his analysis on what would happen if the Thunder lost another game in the NBA Finals series. He said, 'Friday night is D-Day. That's their (OKC Thunder) season. If they get down 3-1, they're not gonna win this series. Now, if they get it to 2-2, they go back to being the favorite. But Friday night is their game.' The NBA Finals is a best-of-7 series, which can go down to best-of-5 if the Thunder do not tie the next game. After winning Game 2 of the finals series, the Thunder were favored to win Game 3 as well. However, the second half of the game turned the tables as the Thunder defense collapsed, which gave the Pacers an opening and they won the game by 116-107 score. Barkley also stated how difficult it would be for the Thunder to regroup for the next NBA season if they do not win this one. "And you know, a lot of people, you don't get to go to the finals and say, we're gonna get back the next year. Look at the Boston Celtics. They probably want to break that team up. Think about it, remember they had KD, Russ, and James. They never got back to the finals again." It's been 15 years since the Thunder made an appearance in the NBA Finals, and even during their last finale appearance the team had some of the future MVPs like Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook. Even after having such strong players, they were unable to win the Championship, post which the said players switched teams and it took more than a decade for the OKC Thunder to climb up to the finals. Magic Johnson's 'interesting' verdict on Kevin Durant trade rumours: 'He will allow them to get faster...'

It is all but certain that Kevin Durant will make his way out of the Phoenix Suns this summer. But where could the 36-year-old land? With the offseason around the corner, the Suns forward has already been linked to a few teams. Analysing the potential options for Durant, NBA legend Magic Johnson gave his verdict. Durant joined the Suns during the 2022/23 season, but the Arizona team has not quite metdidn't expectations since, having failed to get out of the first round last season and then missing the playoffs this year. The Suns are well aware that they are in dire need of a change, and Durant has been the cynosure of those discussions. Although Phoenix Suns attempted to trade Durant by the deadline, the plan has not yet been implemented. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Suns and Durant's business partner met multiple times over the last week and are contemplating various trade scenarios, as reported on Wednesday. The report also saw Charania list as many as five teams interested in acquiring the fifteen-time NBA All-Star: the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks. Speaking on ESPN's 'Get Up', Johnson wants Durant to take up the last option. "Kevin Durant, that's an interesting piece," Johnson said. "If I'm the Knicks, the Knicks are too slow. They're not going to beat Indiana next year or these other teams." Johnson then explained how the Knicks, who are still in the hunt for their first NBA title since 1973, can benefit from the deal with Durant. "They got to get a little faster, right? And to me, Kevin Durant will allow them to get faster and be a guy that can help Brunson in the fourth quarter," Johnson added. "You're relying on Brunson so much, one guy can't get you there. You got to give him some help. Kevin Durant will be a guy who will give you some help on the offensive end. Plus, he's able to put the teams that they play against in foul trouble. "I like Kevin Durant playing with the Knicks. I really do. A champion, he can teach the other guys how to win the championship. That would be important. But the main thing here is everybody's got to step up, Jay, and be better next season."
