The tycoon, who was managing director of PJ Investments, according to his LinkedIn page, had just returned from running a rally team in Italy.
He was a vintage car fanatic and had competed in the iconic Monte Carlo Classic rally.
His grandfather founded the wine empire Frederick Wildman and Sons, which to this day turns over hundreds of millions of pounds a year.
It exports wines and champagne from France to the US.
Tarik's mother, the late Hon Corinna Cunliffe, was a celebrated fashion magazine editor and the daughter of a baron.
She is the subject of three portraits in the National Portrait Gallery.
He was married to Susan O'Reilly, daughter of the late Sir Anthony O'Reilly, from one of Ireland's most prominent families.
It is believed Tarik owned a six-bedroom, five-bathroom holiday home in La Virginia, Marbella, with a private pool.
The Classic and Sports Car Club of Andalucia posted a memorial to Tarik online, which said: "He had just returned from organising and running his Team Schh rally in Italy which he had done in his beautiful Lancia Flamina, a car he loved.
"He died peacefully in his sleep but, at this moment, the cause is not known.
"He had amazing friends all over the world, had competed in the Monte Carlo Classic rally and had a depth of knowledge of all things that always astonished me.
"His passion for life in general and motoring in particular was something that others could only envy.
"The world here will never see the like and will never be the same again. RIP Tarik Wildman, a legend and a titan."
Another friend, US TV personality Ingrid Hoffman, wrote: "Thank you for being a stand up kind and generous friend, host exraurdinaire, creator, planner, navigator and pilot to the most fun adventures and Team Shhhh rally's.

"I am going to miss you and the days and nights spend cooking, talking, drinking, driving and telling stories at your Marbella "La Virginia" and Casa Hombre Salvaje center of the universe of all things fun.
"Capileira that little house above the clouds you loved so much and took all of your friends so we could love it too.
"Grateful for all the cast of characters now friends you introduced me too. You always wanted all of us to be friends.

Shocking moment Love Island star Shakira brands new bombshell Yasmin a 't***' as tensions flare while they secretly watch the boys flirt with THREE new girls

The Love Island girls were thrown into a frenzy on Friday night as tensions flared while they watched the boys meet the series' three latest bombshells. After Blu Chegini became the second islander to be dumped from the Majorca villa, the newly-coupled-up boys and single man Shea Mannings were afforded a boys' night away. But after the six lads started discussing their new romances, they were interrupted by three new girls - teaching assistant Malisha, 24, commercial banking executive Yasmin, 24, and insurance development executive Emily, 24. In another major shock, the girls back in the villa were watching exactly what the boys were getting up to on a secret camera for the first time in Love Island history. Unaware the girls were watching on, the bombshells didn't shy away from flirting with the boys, and Yasmin even had some choice words about some of the existing couples - prompting a fuming reaction back in the villa. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Making her opinions clear, Yasmin insisted it was 'bulls***' that American Islander Toni would consider a move to the UK, before saying Ben 'crawled back' to Shakira and criticising Tommy for being 'too comfortable' with Meg. And the girls were unimpressed with her brazen remarks as Shakira shockingly branded her a 't***' while Meg also referred to one of the bombshells as a 'b***h' as tensions flared before they even met the newbies. Making their bombshell arrival, 'serial flirter' Emily sat down herself next to Conor, while Malisha was next to Dejon and Yasmin sat by Tommy as they wasted no time getting to know the boys. 'Tell us what your situation is in the villa at the moment,' Yasmin said. With the lads blissfully ignorant of the fact they are being watched, they didn't hold back with their answers, leaving the ladies back in the villa in shock. As the conversation moved on to Conor, he answered: 'I'm talking to Toni, she's American, I know that's a bit of a thing but she said she'd be happy to come (to Ireland).' Holding nothing back, Yasmin responded: 'Bull****,' much to the dismay of the girls back in the villa. Things went from bad to worse for Toni as Conor later admitted that Emily is exactly his type. The conversation then moved on to Ben, who explained that after a couple of days away from Shakira, they had coupled up once again - with Yasmin cheekily quipping: 'Oh so you went crawling back to her did you?' Moments later, Yasmin turned her attention to Tommy, who is currently coupled up with Irish girl Meg. 'I'm not singling you out when I say this, but do you think you're too comfortable with Meg at the moment?' the 24-year-old asked. The question prompted an angry response from Shakira watching on poolside, who cried: 'You know what, I was all for being nice to the bombshells but she seems like a bit of a t***!' The bombshells' flirty exchange with the lads also saw Dejon and Tommy - who seem happily coupled up - admit the new girls have 'made things interesting' before the three new girls picked a boy each to have a 'private chat' with. Yasmin chose Harry, who has ruffled feathers since entering the villa on day one, with Emily taking Irishman Conor and Malisha choosing Dejon as the episode reached its climax. Before series 12 began on Monday, ITV producers promised the most dramatic series yet. After Sophie Lee became the first islander to be dumped from the villa, new lads Remell and Shea became this series' first male bombshells. Newbie Shea Mannings and Blu Chegini were left single and a shock text revealed that they would have to pick which of them would go home in a show first Remell, who quickly found a spark with Scottish girl Alima, raised eyebrows moments after his arrival as he shockingly admitted to bedding five girls in one night. It came before Blu Chegini became the first boy to be dumped after brutally being voted off by his castmates. He and Shea had been left single after the latest recoupling, with a shock text revealing they would have to pick which of them would go home in a show first. With the pair left fuming, Blu was quick to state, 'I ain't f***ing leaving', with Shea also making it clear he wasn't willing to leave, before they forced their co-stars to make the call. However after giving the vote up to their fellow islanders, Blu ultimately received the fewest votes and left the villa. Love Island next airs on Sunday June 16 at 9pm on ITVX and ITV2. Danielle Lloyd, 41, wows in a black mesh swimsuit during Ibiza getaway after revealing she lost two stone following shock skin cancer diagnosis

made sure all eyes were on her as she shared a sizzling snap to Instagram on Friday from her holiday to Ibiza. The model and TV personality, 41, turned heads in a sleek black swimsuit, just weeks after revealing she had lost two stone following a shocking skin cancer diagnosis. She completed the beach look with a chic Chanel visor as she struck a pose on a sun-soaked balcony overlooking the ocean. In a caption, Danielle penned: 'Ibiza is always a good idea.' Danielle has been documenting her sun-soaked Ibiza holiday on her Instagram with a series of stunning snaps. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Danielle also shared snaps of her partying it up during Tomorrowland and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike's set at Ushuaïa Ibiza the day before. The media personality recently revealed how she overhauled her health and lost two stone with the help of Pilates after her terrifying health woes. She was diagnosed with the deadliest form of skin cancer, melanoma, in February, which left her in such fear for her life that she struggled to eat and sleep. Danielle, who is now cancer free, told The Sun last month: 'Being a mum, I was trying to put a brave face on for everyone, but inside I've been crumbling. I was worried every single day that I was going to die.' She is mum to five children - sharing son Ronnie, seven, and three-year-old daughter Autumn Rose, with husband Michael O'Neill, as well as sons Archie, 14, Harry, 13, and George, 11, with ex-husband Jamie O'Hara. Symptoms of melanoma include a new mole or changes to an existing mole, which is exactly what happened to the star, when she noticed one on her collarbone was changing shape. After tragically losing a friend to bowel cancer the previous year, she knew it was worth investigating and visited her GP, who referred her onto a dermatologist who advised removal. This took place in December, but Danielle had to wait an agonising nine weeks before she was diagnosed. Taking to her grid, she shared a stunning snap of her outfit for the night, putting on a very leggy display in a lacy animal print rah-rah skirt Her holiday looks showcased the mother-of-five's extreme weight loss, after she lost two stone following a shock cancer diagnosis Recalling her reaction, she said: 'I just burst into tears. I wasn't expecting it. When I heard the word 'cancer', I just thought, "That's it, I'm going to die."' She then had to have the skin surrounding the mole removed as a preventative measure as doctors worked to establish whether or not the cancer had spread. Thankfully, eight weeks after her February procedure, Danielle was told she was cancer free. She announced her diagnosis to her followers in a tearful video on Instagram in February, where she recalled how she'd noticed a change to one of her moles. She explained that she told her oldest three kids about her diagnosis, but refrained from telling the two little ones, because they were too young to understand and worried they'd jump to worse conclusion. 'It was difficult telling the older boys, Harry asked me if my hair was going to fall out. 'It's hard because they're still young, so I don't know if they fully understand - which is a good thing because I don't want to put a strain on them.' It is not the first time Danielle has had a cancer scare as she was rushed to hospital in 2023 after suffering from heavy bleeding. Doctors then discovered she had large cysts on her ovaries, but was thankfully told they were non-cancerous after undergoing a biopsy. She also found a lump in her breast last year and was given the all-clear in October after a biopsy discovered the lump was benign. What is malignant melanoma? Malignant melanoma is a serious form of skin cancer that begins in melanocytes, cells found in the upper layer of skin that produce melanin, which gives skin its colour. While less common that other types of skin cancer, it is more dangerous because of its ability to spread to other organs more rapidly if it is not treated at an early stage. Symptoms A new mole or a change in an existing mole may be signs of melanoma. Melanomas can appear anywhere on your body, but they're more common in areas that are often exposed to the sun. Some rarer types can affect the eyes, soles of the feet, palms of the hands or genitals. Check your skin for any unusual changes. Use a mirror or ask a partner or friend to check any areas you cannot see. In particular, look for: Moles with an uneven shape or edges Moles with a mix of colours Large moles - melanomas often tend to be more than 6mm wide Moles that change size, shape or colour over time Causes Ultraviolet (UV) light is the most common cause of melanoma. It comes from the sun and is used in sunbeds. Melanoma is more common in older people, but younger people can also get it. You're also more likely to get melanoma if you have: Pale skin that burns easily in the sun Red or blonde hair Blue or green eyes A large number of freckles or moles Had a lot of sun exposure and you've had sunburn a lot in the past Used sunbeds a lot A history of skin cancer in your family or you've had skin cancer before If you have black or brown skin, you have a lower chance of getting melanoma, but you can still get it. Prevention Staying safe in the sun is the best way to lower your chance of getting skin cancer (both melanoma and non-melanoma). Do the following: Stay out of the sun during the hottest part of the day (11am to 3pm in the UK) Keep your arms and legs covered and wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses that provide protection against ultraviolet (UV) rays Use sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30 and at least 4-star UVA protection – make sure you reapply it regularly Make sure babies and children are protected from the sun – their skin is much more sensitive than adult skin Treatment Melanoma skin cancer can often be treated. The treatment you have will depend on where it is, if it has spread and your general health. Surgery is the main treatment for melanoma. Radiotherapy, medicines and chemotherapy are also sometimes used. Surgery could involve removing the melanoma and an area of healthy skin around it, swollen lymph nodes if the cancer has spread to them and other parts of the body if it has spread to them. If a large part of skin has to be removed, a skin graft might be needed which could see kin taken from another part of the body to cover the area where the melanoma was. Radiotherpay is sometimes used to reduce the size of large melanomas and help control and relieve symptoms. Targeted medicines and immotherapy are used to treat melanomas that can't be dealt with by surgery, or have spread to lymph glands or other parts of the body. Chemotherapy, which kills cancer cells, is sometimes used to treat advanced melanoma when it has spread to another part of the body. It does not work as well as other treatments, but can be used if you are unable to have them. How dangerous is it? Generally for people with melanoma in England: almost all people (almost 100%) will survive their melanoma for 1 year or more after they are diagnosed around 90 out of every 100 people (around 90%) will survive their melanoma for 5 years or more after diagnosis more than 85 out of every 100 people (more than 85%) will survive their melanoma for 10 years or more after they are diagnosed

'Totally unfair': Airbnb fights back over protests

A leading Airbnb executive has said it is 'totally unfair' to blame the firm for 'over-tourism' in Europe. Theo Yedinsky, vice-president for public policy at the American company, has accused regulators and residents of 'scapegoating' the app. The US giant, which allows jetsetters to book short-term home rentals, has been accused of causing overcrowding in holiday hotspots. But Yedinsky instead pointed the finger at hotels. Tourist levels have angered those living in major European cities, who complain that Airbnb has pushed up rents and reduced the permanent housing on offer for residents. It has even led to protests by locals in Barcelona, Amsterdam, Malaga and Santorini. Yedinsky told the Financial Times: 'We end up getting a lot of the blame, especially in city centres. The reality is overtourism is really driven by the hotels.' In Barcelona, where officials have ordered nearly 66,000 properties to be wiped from the app, Yedinsky told the newspaper the mayor should 'look at hotels' and 'build more housing'. 'They are scapegoating Airbnb. They are attacking a fraction of the problem and then wondering why it's not getting better,' he said. The app claims it helps local communities as it supports families who want to let their property to make ends meet, as well as boosting tourism to areas outside of main cities. But it has garnered many critics. Spanish prime minister Pedro Sanchez earlier this year said 'there are too many Airbnbs and not enough homes'. Although most holidaymakers stay in hotels compared to short-term rentals, critics are concerned with the rapid growth of these properties. Visitors stayed in short lets for 715m nights compared to 1.9bn staying in hotels, according to data from the European Union. Apps such as Airbnb – founded in 2008 by Brian Chesky, Nathan Blecharczyk and Joe Gebbia – were effectively banned in New York in 2023. Closer to home, residents in tourist destinations incluyding Devon and Cornwall have complained that more landlords are letting properties to holidaymakers while locals struggle to find affordable homes. Liberal Democrat MP for North Cornwall Ben Maguire earlier this month claimed 'too many local families are being priced out while homes sit empty or churned through weekly rentals'.
