What happens to Liam Payne's $50 million fortune, properties
Liam Payne's estate has been revealed after the pop star died without writing a will, leaving behind a fortune of £24.3 million ($A50.21 million).
The former One Direction singer died in October at the age of 31 after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The musician had been living in Florida with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, in the months leading up to his death, having relocated to a rented property in Wellington just a few weeks before his death, Realtor reports.
According to BBC, Payne's ex-partner, Cheryl Tweedy, with whom he shared a son, Bear, 8, has been appointed as one of two administrators of his estate, alongside music industry lawyer Richard Bray.
According to the outlet, official records indicate that Payne left behind 'money, property, and possessions' that are worth more than £24.3 million, all of which will now be managed by Tweedy and Bray, although they have limited authority and are not able to distribute any of the funds.
Traditionally, if a person dies without a will — and they were not survived by a living spouse or civil partner — their fortune passes directly to their living children, although it is unclear whether the entirety of Payne's wealth will be inherited by his son.
Payne never married, although Cassidy, whom he began dating in 2022, previously stated that they had planned to wed, explaining in an Instagram post that Payne gave her a note before he died in which he made clear his intention to propose.
'Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444,' she said the note read.
According to an unnamed friend of the pop star, Payne had made arrangements to ensure that the bulk of his money would pass to his son.
One insider told the Daily Mail: 'Liam had some very sensible people around him for a time and he adored Bear so much.
'He always wanted to do the right thing by him financially. It is a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything, that he will at least benefit from that.'
Among Payne's vast fortune is a six-bedroom mansion in Buckinghamshire, just outside of London, which the singer is understood to have put on the market just a few weeks before his death.
Per the Daily Mail, it's thought that the dwelling, which is known as Foxwood, may have found a buyer, because his estate had a limited Ad Colligenda Bona grant, which is typically put in place in order to allow for the sale of property.
Payne purchased the sprawling mansion in 2021 in order to be closer to his son, who was living primarily with his mother.
It is not known exactly how much Payne paid for the home; however, it was initially listed with a 'guide price' of $5.5 million.
The home offered plenty of privacy, with the listing details describing it as being 'set back from' the nearest road and surrounded by stunning grounds, which included a private natural pond.
'The house offers light-filled and spacious accommodation with tasteful decor throughout,' the description reads.
'Upon entering the property, you are greeted by a large entrance hall with a cloakroom/shower room and stairs leading to the first floor.
'The drawing room features a triple aspect with French doors opening to the garden and an impressive gas fireplace.
'The family room has bi-folding doors to the hall, allowing it to be separated or integrated for entertaining.
'The kitchen/breakfast room is beautifully appointed with hand-painted units, granite countertops, opening to a stunning orangery with lovely garden views.'
In addition to that property, Payne was also renting a home in Florida, which he shared with Cassidy, and which was recently put back on the rental market for $US9,000 ($A14,000) a month.
The property features five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms and is located in a prominent gated community that boasts a number of different amenities for residents, including shopping facilities and equestrian centres.

Jennifer Lopez looks unrecognisable in new film
Jennifer Lopez has left fans stunned after debuting a striking new look – and many are saying they barely recognised her. The 55-year-old singer and actress shared a first look at her most theatrical role yet, starring as Ingrid Luna in Kiss of the Spider Woman, a new film adaptation of the 1993 Broadway classic. In the just-released trailer, Lopez is seen in two contrasting, era-defining looks – first appearing as a near-platinum blonde paired with a bold red lip and later with a sharply cut bob and spiky fringe. Hailed as, 'The role Jennifer Lopez was born to play,' the Jenny From the Block singer's looks are a far cry from her usual red carpet aesthetic. Set in Argentina in 1981, Kiss of the Spider Woman focuses on Luis Molina, a gay hairdresser who is imprisoned because of his sexuality. While in captivity, Molina fantasies about a glamorous siren named Ingrid Luna (Lopez) as he tries to escape his current reality. While the storyline is set against a backdrop of dictatorship and oppression, it unfolds largely through stylised fantasy – giving Lopez the chance to fully embody her love of glitz and glamour. Naturally, fans couldn't contain themselves over the star's bold transformation. 'OMG. I didn't even recognise her, she looks amazing!,' said one eager viewer. 'JLo deserves her Oscar,' said another. 'They could never make me hate you, JLo,' praised a third. Lopez and her ex-husband Ben Affleck made headlines earlier this year while finalising their highly-publicised divorce after less than two years of marriage. In an interview with Nikki Glaser last October, the singer revealed she was looking to find happiness within herself now. 'Being in a relationship doesn't define me. I can't be looking for happiness in other people. I used to say I'm a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill.' Kiss of the Spider Woman will be in theatres October 10.

Livvy Dunne ends dazzling Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway turn with a split
Olivia 'Livvy' Dunne showed off her gymnastics prowess Saturday during the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway show at the W South Beach in Miami, where she capped off her walk with a split at the end of the runway. The former LSU gymnast and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model rocked a sultry one-piece with cutouts for one turn down the runway and switched things up to a white crop top and animal-print bottoms for the other. The 22-year-old Dunne made her cover debut for the iconic publication this spring, which she called a dream come true. 'That is crazy,' Dunne said upon learning she landed the cover. 'I am a Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model… Are you kidding me?' Dunne, who made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in 2023, appears on one of the four covers for this year's edition, including Lauren Chan, Salma Hayek and Jordan Chiles. In a behind-the-scenes video from her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot shared in May, Dunne revealed she was grappling with a knee injury at the time. 'Fun fact, I was shooting on a fractured kneecap, so poses like this and the cover shot kind of hurt, but it was honestly so worth it,' she said in the Instagram clip. Dunne confirmed in March that she had been 'dealing with an avulsion fracture of my patella,' which sidelined her from participating on the floor of LSU's senior night festivities. 'It absolutely breaks my heart to not get the opportunity to compete in the PMAC one last time. Tiger fans, you've been so good to me! Thank you for the endless support and as always Geaux Tigers! – Liv,' she wrote on social media at the time. Dunne, a national championship-winning gymnast with the Tigers, bid an official farewell to the sport she's loved all her life in April. 'Gymnastics, you have filled my heart and will always be a part of me,' she shared in a heartfelt Instagram video. 'You shaped me into the person I am today.' Dunne has given her 13 million fans across Instagram and TikTok intimate looks at her highs and lows over the years, including troublesome moments with supporters. In a TikTok video shared over the weekend, Dunne detailed how autograph-seekers have tracked her down at airports and fears she is 'being stalked.' 'They know time, place, airport, everything!!! Stay safe,' she captioned the video. As Dunne's star has continued to rise, fans have paid particular attention to her personal life. She and Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes have been together for more than a year, with the ex-LSU baseball star confirming the relationship in the summer of 2023.
