Linda Robson says the beloved sitcom Birds of a Feather will not be making a comeback, despite fans' hopes.
In a chat with ITV colleague Jane Moore on a new edition of Loose Women: The Podcast, the actress was probed about whether she'd swap her celebrity existence for an ordinary life if she could "go back".
Linda, 67, revealed that she wouldn't, stating that she has loved her life in the spotlight, which has allowed her to travel to places such as Japan, Bolivia, and the US. The conversation then turned onto Birds of a Feather, the show which Linda is probably most well known for.
When questioned about the classic sitcom's potential return by Jane, Linda dismissed the thought owing to her fellow actress and friend Pauline Quirke.

She said: "No, it's not going to come back. No, it's really not gonna...", to which Jane asked if this was due to her co-star Pauline's dementia diagnosis.
Linda added: "Yeah, she's not gonna work again now. Talking of Pauline, Charlie (Pauline's son) rang me, yeah, and just said like, 'she's doing really, really well at the moment'.
"Sometimes, she sort of has down days, but at the moment, she's quite up about everything, and he said that they got really, really excited when she said, 'Where's my mate, Linda Robson?'."
The actress went on to say that this information left her "quite emotional" before going on to gush about their 50 plus years of friendship.
Pauline, famed for her role as Sharon Theodopolopodous in the sitcom, was sadly diagnosed with dementia in 2021. Her husband, Steve Sheen, announced in January "with a heavy heart" that she would be retiring from acting.
The statement further highlighted her "talent, dedication, and vision" which had impacted "countless lives", and confirmed that her Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA), located across the UK, continues to operate.
Steve added: 'We kindly request privacy and understanding for Pauline and our family during this difficult period. Pauline just wants to spend time with her family, children and grandchildren.'
Linda, Pauline and their co-star Lesley Joseph first appeared on the BBC show in 1989 and shared the screen for an impressive 25 years (with a hiatus). Pauline also featured as Hazel Rhodes in ITV's Emmerdale, as well as Broadchurch, Skins, and Cold Blood.
Previously discussing her friend's dementia diagnosis, Linda described Pauline as "so bright and so clever", and emphasised that it "can happen to anybody".
She further added to Express.co.uk: "I have noticed a real difference with her; she doesn't remember her grandchildren so she's not going to remember who I am even though we've been friends 56 years. It really is sad."

Queen Camilla has leading role in her favourite author's latest murder mystery

Both Queen Camilla and King Charles are featured in the new royal whodunnit, written by Peter James, whom Her Majesty has openly named as her favourite crime author Queen Camilla is to star in her favourite author's latest murder mystery - and has even helped with the plot. Her Majesty, 77, has a central role in The Hawk Is Dead: A Killer In The Palace, which sees a detective investigate a murder at Buckingham Palace. Camilla has openly named the author, Peter James, as her top crime writer and forged a friendship with him in the past 10 years. ‌ It is said Camilla is "thrilled" to have a leading role in the book, due for release in October, written some time after the Queen Consort had suggested her friend set his legendary Brighton-based detective's latest case in London. His books have been made into an ITV drama series Grace, staring John Simm as the eponymous detective superintendent. ‌ "Fortunately, no one is likely to be more thrilled to find themselves taking a leading role in their own royal whodunnit than Her Majesty," writes Daily Mail's royal editor, Rebecca English, in today's publication. King Charles also features in the book, which tells the tale of a detective exploring what they believe to be a assassination attempt at Buckingham Palace. Publishers Pan Macmillan said: "Opening with a cinematic derailment of the Royal Train, The Hawk Is Dead takes Roy Grace deep into the heart of Buckingham Palace, where he is called upon to solve a murder and what looks to be a royal assassination attempt." "Queen Camilla, a well-known book lover and reading champion through her charity The Queen's Reading Room, has always been one of the first people to receive each Grace novel and is excited to have a starring role, alongside King Charles, in Peter's latest thriller." Her Majesty has already had a sneak peakat the novel, it is understood. Peter, 76 and who has several Sunday Times No 1 bestsellers to his name, was "moved to tears" by Camilla's recent nomination of Grace as her favourite detective. Speaking in a recent interview, Peter, who was raised in East Sussex, said: "I came up with an idea, which I ran by Her Majesty and she loved it. Throughout writing, during which I've done extensive behind-the-scenes research at the Palace, I have received invaluable insights from the Royal Household, including Her Majesty." The pair have developed a firm but unlikely friendship and, in 2021, Her Majesty visited the set of Grace, the fifth series of which has just aired on ITV. A sixth series of the drama is already in production. Insiders told the Daily Mail "any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental" when asked about Peter's new book. Buckingham Palace declined to comment to the publication.

I'm A Celebrity star 'signs up' for latest edition of Celebrity Bake Off

A former star of I'm A Me Out of Here has reportedly signed up for the latest edition of the Bake Off in a Stand Up To Cancer special The latest famous face to be signed up for the Great British Bake Off is said to have been confirmed. Former I'm A Celebrity star Babatunde Aleshe has reportedly agreed to another reality TV show following his stint in the jungle. The comedian, 38, starred on the ITV show Down Under in 2022, and is now said to be ready to test his culinary skills. It's claimed Babatunde will take part in the Stand Up To Cancer special of the hit Channel 4 show. ‌ "Babatunde is guaranteed to be hilarious and will no doubt have plenty of banter with Paul, Noel, Caroline and Alison," a source said. ‌ Speaking to the Sun, the TV insider continued: "'He's not known for his prowess in the kitchen so there's sure to be some panicky moments laced with the good humour he's known for. "His energy on the Gogglebox sofa has always been pure positivity and very infectious, and bosses are hoping he'll bring that to the tent." Other names reportedly signed up for the unique edition include JoJo Siwa. Hot on the heels of her Celebrity Big Brother appearance - where she met Chris Hughes - the Dance Moms star is claimed to be set for another UK reality TV show. The 22-year-old American singer boosted her profile on the opposite side of the Atlantic in April when she was a contestant on ITV's Celebrity Big Brother - she already had a huge stateside following. Now it has been reported that JoJo will be popping up on Channel 4 and testing out her culinary skills. A source claimed:"This is a bit of a coup for the Bake Off because Jojo is currently one of the most talked about young stars on TV right now. ‌ "She's barely had time to catch her breath, leaving CBB last month amid huge media attention and heading straight into another huge show this month. It's also a fantastic gig for her because although she already has a fanbase over here, the cookery contest also introduces her to a wider British audience," the source added to The Sun. "Plus she got plenty of experience of cooking in front of the cameras while she was on Celebrity Big Brother, though this time she won't have hunky Chris to distract her." ‌ JoJo and Chris' budding friendship stole the show in the Big Brother house. Speculation was rife they were more than just friends, with JoJo revealed to have dumped fiance Kath Ebbs at the wrap party. Snaps have since emerged of the singer kissing the 32-year-old former Love Island star while they were on holiday together in Mexico. They have continued to pair special mentions to each other on social media following their exit from the CBB house.

New Love Island star exits ITV show after bosses learn of past arrest

One Love Island star has left the ITV villa after bosses learned of his past arrest. The star, who was released with no further action, said he 'fully cooperated with the police investigation' A new Love Island star was recently removed from the line-up of the upcoming series after bosses learned of his past arrest. Kyle Ashman, who was due to take part in the dating series airing this month, is no longer entering the Spanish villa following news of his recent arrest coming to light. Earlier this year, the 23-year-old water operative was arrested and quizzed by police with another person over an attack in Stafford, which Kyle said he had no involvement in a recent statement. After being quizzed by police, he was released with no further action. ‌ Speaking on his exit, Kyle said: "I fully cooperated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident. I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation." ‌ ITV also released a statement on his departure saying: "For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the Love Island Villa as planned. Staffordshire Police had previously said: 'We were called to a social club on Riverway, Stafford, at 7.40pm on Friday, February 28 following reports that someone had been glassed outside and a fight was taking place. Some of the men involved were wearing masks and were carrying weapons. 'Two men went to hospital after suffering injuries at the scene. Both have since been discharged. A man and a woman suffered minor injuries at the scene but did not want any medical treatment. 'Officers have reviewed CCTV footage and have been actively carrying out enquiries to find out more about what happened. A 22-year-old man, from Stafford, was arrested on suspicion of wounding and affray. Another man, also 22 and from Stafford, was arrested on suspicion of affray. ‌ 'Both were questioned in custody and bailed with conditions while our enquiries continue.' The police later confirmed both suspects were released with no further action last month. Meanwhile, when Kyle was meant to enter the villa, he shared his expectations from the show and shared how he flirted with women. ‌ He said: "I just go with it, find something to compliment a girl on and go from there." The star went on to say he was looking for "someone that's fun, confident and just themselves".
