Lord's to host three England Tests in 2026
The first men's Test against Pakistan at Headingley in August will be the only Test played north of Nottingham.
England's men begin their summer at Lord's on 4 June with the first of three Tests against New Zealand.
They play five T20s and three one-day internationals against India in July, followed by a three-Test series against Pakistan before T20s and ODIs against Sri Lanka in September.
The second and third men's Tests and the first two India T20s will clash with the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup, which will be held in England.
England's women warm up for that tournament with three ODIs and five T20s against New Zealand, followed by three more T20s against India.
The landmark women's Test at Lord's, which was announced last year and was a recommendation of the Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC) report in 2023, will be a four-day affair starting on 10 July. It will be England's first home women's Test since the 2023 Ashes.
With the men's Test series being played from 19 August, The Hundred will move forward a week from its position in 2025 to avoid a clash.
After the Hundred, England's women play three ODIs against Ireland in September.
Including the World Cup, England women will play a minimum of 18 matches at home next summer.
Their first match of the summer on 10 May at Chester-le-Street and a World Cup fixture at Leeds are the only occasions they play north of Derby.
None of the Ashes Tests in 2027 will be played in the north, a decision questioned by Yorkshire chief executive Sanjay Patel this month. Old Trafford will host a Test in early 2027 before the Ashes.
The Oval will host the last of those matches as it takes the final white-ball match of the summer, rather than its traditional concluding Test.
The last Test of the summer will be played at Edgbaston from 9 September.

Fabrizio Romano confirms Liverpool have sent message to Alexander Isak
Liverpool have FAILED in their first official bid for Alexander Isak. A bid - reported to be in the region of £120m - was sent to Newcastle for the Swedish striker but was quickly knocked back. Isak is under contract at St. James' Park until 2028 but it would be surprising if he remains there beyond this summer. 🔴 Shop the LFC Store 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! Liverpool are well aware that Isak wants the move - although it was reported on Friday that the club would indeed take Newcastle's first 'No' for an answer. Fabrizio Romano: Rejected bid is part of the game That stance contradicts what Fabrizio Romano has heard however. The Italian transfer supremo FULLY expects Liverpool to be back with another bid. There is ample time - both for Liverpool to complete a deal for Isak and Newcastle to sign a replacement. 'Liverpool know that this is part of the game,' Romano told his YouTube audience. 'It's still beginning of August. There's still plenty of time to go before the end of the transfer window.' Liverpool's bid a MESSAGE to Isak The bid was confirmation if it were needed that Liverpool consider Isak a priority target. It was, according to Romano, conceived as a MESSAGE to Isak. Liverpool wanted to show the Newcastle No14 that their interest was genuine - and that they were going to do whatever it takes to deliver this signing. 'Liverpool wanted to show to the player: 'Okay, we are really ready.' That's not just an informal conversation. That's not just a verbal proposal. It's an official bid,' Romano states.

Reports Neom SC submit offer for Ipswich-linked Cajuste Cajuste spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Portman Road with Ipswich for their Premier League campaign, and has been linked with a return to East Anglia as Kieran McKenna and his team aim for an immediate return to the English top flight. England three down and needing 210 more runs to beat India at the Oval
LONDON (AP) — India removed England's Ben Duckett and stand-in captain Ollie Pope to effectively be six wickets from tying the series on day four Sunday of the fifth test at the Oval. England, absent the injured allrounder Chris Woakes, was 164-3 at lunch in pursuit of 374 to win the test and clinch the series 3-1. Harry Brook was 38 not out with Joe Root on 23 and England needing 210 more runs. Root survived an umpire's call on 3 and Brook should have been out on 19 but Mohammed Siraj, with ball in hand, stumbled back on to the boundary cushion. The odds remained in India's favor despite England's history of gunning down big targets. England resumed the day on 50-1 and scored only 37 runs in the first hour as the India seamers got the ball to nip around under London's grey skies. Ben Duckett, who lost his opening partner Zak Crawley to the last ball on Saturday, was uncharacteristically subdued, possibly still bothered by the hit on his glove by Prasidh Krishna late Saturday. He still reached his fourth fifty of the series, though, with an edged four past gully. But the pressure from Siraj and Akash Deep tempted him to go after Krishna and give up his wicket by edging to Lokesh Rahul at first slip. Duckett scored 54 off 83 balls. The Oval lights came on and Root was under fire, notably from Krishna, who unsuccessfully appealed for lbw. Reviews showed the ball clipping leg stump. Pope unleashed three boundaries in an over against Krishna but his second innings troubles returned when he was out to a Siraj nip-backer. Pope averages 46.69 in first innings but 19.64 in second innings. His 27 was his second highest score in a fourth innings. Siraj's 20th wicket made him the leading wicket-taker in the series. Brook joined Root and was dropped on 19 off Krishna by Siraj on the boundary. Brook rubbed salt into the wound by smacking 16 runs off the over. About 20 minutes later when lunch arrived, a still sorry Siraj pointedly walked over to Krishna to give him a hug. ___ AP cricket:
