Silver Alert: 76-year-old Karen May Taube
Denton police are looking for 76-year-old Karen May Taube, who was pulled from her assisted living facility.
On Monday evening, detectives were notified Taube was checked out of the assisted living center by someone who wasn't her legal guardian.
Investigators are now asking the public to be on the lookout for a white 2018 Ford F150 with the Michigan license plate DXZ 9489.

Police say Eva Haron knowingly took Taube from the facility without legal consent.
They may be traveling in a white pick-up truck with Michigan plates.

Karen Taube's legal guardian and her assisted living center sounded the alarms earlier this week.
The 76-year-old lives at Denton's Willow Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care off Brinker Road.
On Monday evening at around 5 pm, Denton detectives were notified Taube was checked out of the assisted living center by someone who wasn't her legal guardian.
Where they could be traveling is still unknown.
Investigators are now asking the public to be on the lookout for a white 2018 Ford F150 with the Michigan license plate DXZ 9489.
Detectives tell FOX 4 they do not believe Taube to be in immediate danger.
At this time, police say they aren't releasing the suspect, Eva Haron's photo, to the public or her relation to Taube.
On Thursday, Denton police issued a felony warrant for a Michigan woman named Eva Haron.
According to Denton County court records, there was a lengthy guardianship battle over Taube from January 2024 right up until she was checked out of the Denton facility.
Evan Haron is listed online as one of the applicants.
Investigators are now working to uncover how Haron was able to check Taube out of the Denton facility and where she is taking her.
What they're saying
Lacy Fenn of the Dentron Police Department tells FOX 4 she just wants to bring Taube back safely and does not want to release more information on the suspect.
"Our investigation is really to find her and bring her back safely to her assisted living community," said Fenn. "Until we locate her safely, we are not releasing any of that information just because we want to find her safe first."

A 33-year-old Warren, Michigan, man is facing three charges after he allegedly sent dozens of messages related to human trafficking while in custody at the Oakland County Jail. Ryan Ramone Wafford is charged with two counts of human trafficking and one count of accepting earnings from prostitution, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said Saturday. "Thanks to the persistence of our investigators, we were able to uncover this and rescue individuals from human trafficking." Giovanni Pelletier Missing: Teen Sent Chilling Text Prior to Disappearing
An 18-year-old boy from North Carolina has not been seen or heard from since Aug. 1--the same day he sent his mother a frightening two-word text message. Giovanni Pelletier was on a family trip to Florida with his mother, Bridgette Pelletier, her fiancé, Jeremy Brown, and Giovanni's four younger siblings, when he vanished in the early morning hours of last Friday. The purpose of the trip was for Pelletier to connect with his father's side of the family after years of estrangement, his mother told PEOPLE. Bridgette Pelletier said her son had arranged for three of his cousins on his father's side to pick him up from where he was staying in Englewood, Fla. They did that at around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 1. A short time later, things got worrisome. 'Mom help' Bridgette said that within 30 minutes of being picked up by his cousins, Giovanni texted her twice. One of the messages simply said "Mom help." Giovanni also tried calling his mother at 1:56 a.m. and one minute later on FaceTime, Bridgette told PEOPLE. The teen also reached out to his aunt and grandfather when he couldn't reach her. Bridgette did not see the calls and messages until 6:20 a.m. Friday when she awoke. She also says there was a missed call from one of the cousins who had picked Giovanni up. "He only called me that one time," she told PEOPLE of her son's cousin. "And then no effort was made to communicate with me. No effort was made to come back to the house to let me know." Troubling stories emerge Later on, Bridgette said Giovanni's paternal grandfather left her a voicemail claiming her son had an altercation with his cousins, who left him on the side of the road in Bradenton. The grandfather said he did not have all the information but wished to be notified of when Giovanni was located. Eventually, the cousin who had attempted to call Bridgette early Friday morning got in touch with her. He says Giovanni got into an argument with them over smoking marijuana and it led to a fight on the roadside, during which the boy says Giovanni pulled out a knife "When that happened, they said they wrestled the knife from him, and then my son took off running," Bridgette said. Bridgette says she recovered her son's phone and backpack, which had been left at the side of the road. "My son eats, sleeps, showers, breathes his phone," she added, saying he wouldn't have left it there. Homeless man dies after shooting in Denton's downtown square, police say
A man experiencing homelessness died Saturday after being shot during a disturbance in Denton's downtown square, police said. The shooting occurred shortly after noon in the 200 block of Hickory Street near Elm Street. According to a news release from the Denton Police Department, a disturbance took place between a male patron and the homeless individual prior to the shooting. The suspected shooter remained at the scene and is being questioned by officers, police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. Authorities have not released the names of those involved. CBS News Texas will provide updates as more information becomes available.
