CHAN 2024: Guinea warmly welcomed in Uganda (Photos) Arriving in the early hours of August 1 at Entebbe International Airport, the players and officials of Guinea's local national team received a vibrant and festive welcome from the local organizing committee of CHAN 2024. Drums, traditional dances, and artistic performances set the tone for their arrival. The Crane Performers, joined by an artist dressed as a gorilla and a stilt walker sporting Guinea's colors, delivered a dazzling show that was enthusiastically received by the entire West African delegation. Some team members even got swept up by the rhythm, breaking out a few dance moves themselves. The 45-member delegation was then escorted to its base camp at the Sheraton By Four Points in Kampala. Guinea will compete in Group C alongside Uganda, Algeria, South Africa, and Niger. Their campaign kicks off on Monday, August 4, against Niger at Mandela Stadium.
