The horror unfolded as a Land Rover Defender smashed through a fence while school children and staff were having a tea-party outside on the last day of term.

Speaking at a remembrance event on Sunday, Nuria's mother Smera Chohan said: "We have had to fight very hard - harder than any victim should ever have had to - but we remain committed to uncovering the truth about what happened."

The 48-year-old was originally released after an initial investigation by the Roads and Transport Policing Command, and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), concluded she should face no further action.
Freemantle claimed she had an epileptic seizure behind the wheel and faced no charges.
They added that there was no evidence Ms Freemantle had ever suffered a similar seizure before and she had no previously diagnosed medical condition.

It was revealed there was a key problem with establishing the evidence of an epileptic seizure, and diagnosis without brain scans.
"Our main priority is to ensure the lines of inquiry identified by the review are progressed. I would urge people to avoid speculation," Det Supt Lewis Basford said.

At the memorial on Sunday, hundreds of people from the local area joined Nuria's mother Smera Chohan, her father Sajjad Butt and Selena's parents Franky Lau and Jessie Deng.
Two benches dedicated to the victims' memories were decorated with flowers and messages and a two minutes' silence was observed.
Following a two minutes' silence - one minute for each girl - Ms Chohan delivered an emotional speech.
"We still await answers for what happened on that fateful day... and with all your support, we will continue our fight until we have the answers we deserve," Ms Chohan said.

"Nothing is going to make our lives the same again... we were parents.
"I sometimes don't know if I'm a mother, I need to know why I'm not a mother and Nuria deserved a thorough investigation."
Selena's father added: "We are still waiting, we want a version of events that adds up."
Helen Lowe, who was the school's headteacher at the time of the crash, said: "There are still no answers to what happened on that day, and in that two-year period, there have been a number of events which involved awful tragedy for children.

"But the people who perpetrated those events have had to be answerable, and we don't have that, which makes it - for the parents and for us - impossible to move on."

Police have issued a probe after the 73-year-old was struck on Neasden Lane, near Dudden Hill Lane junction just before 6pm. 1 The incident occurred on Neasden Lane last night Credit: Google Paramedics rushed to the scene where she was later pronounced dead. The pensioner is yet to be identified publicly, however, police have confirmed they are working to inform her next of kin. In an update provided by the Metropolitan Police it was announced that no one has been arrested in connection at this stage. The force also confirmed the driver of the bus is now assisting with the ongoing investigation. The busy shopping street was closed for multiple hours following the tragic incident, but has since reopened. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 17:58hrs on Sunday, 17 August following reports of a serious road traffic collision in Neasden, Brent. "Officers were joined by the London Ambulance Service at the junction of Neasden Lane with Dudden Hill Lane, where a bus had been in collision with a pedestrian. The girl , who cannot be named, will be left with 'physical and cognitive difficulties throughout her life' after a bullet lodged in her brain. Javon Riley, 33, was today found guilty of attempting to murder three men and causing grievous bodily harm to the girl. The gunman has never been caught with cops offering a £15,000 reward for information that leads to his capture. Advertisement The Old Bailey heard the horror was a "planned assassination of members of a rival gang by Mr Riley and others'. A gruesome rivalry between two rival groups in London known as the Tottenham Turks and the Hackney Turks had been mounting for over a decade. In the months leading up to the shooting, Riley sat in the bar opposite Evin restaurant sipping on a pina colada as he studied traffic flow in the area. On May 29, 2024, he was captured driving from North London in a stolen car to pick up the gunman. Advertisement He then cruised past the restaurant several times to ensure his rivals from the Hackney Turks were inside. As the girl innocently tucked into some ice cream, the gunman was filmed approaching the building before pulling his gun out. He hit the girl in the head and blasted his enemies Mustafa Kiziltan, Kenan Aydogdu and Nasser Ali. The court heard while he did not fire the weapon, Riley played a key role in orchestrating and implementing a plan intended to end the lives of his rival gangsters. The girl was rushed to hospital where she underwent several intensive operations. She had to stay in hospital for three months before being allowed to return home. While the youngster has made "a relatively good recovery", she will struggle physically and mentally for the rest of her life. Her mum said: "In a single moment, the future we had imagined for our daughter was torn away. She was once an energetic, adventurous child — everything that celebrated movement, energy, and life. "Now, weakness on her left side means she can only watch from the sidelines, living with a titanium plate in her skull and a bullet still in her brain. Each day brings new challenges, from her slower growth on one side to the emotional and mental scars that cannot be seen. "The world we once believed was safe for our child now feels frightening and uncertain.
