'There's real work to be done' - Cavenagh's first feelings as Rangers chairman
New Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh addressed the media following the extraordinary general meeting earlier today where shareholders approved the club's new American owners £20m investment into the club. Here are some of the key questions and answers provided:Where were you when you got the call about Rangers?"I was on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, outside a coffee shop, about to go to a Yankees game."I've known Rangers forever as a football fan, and so when the phone call came and said, would you have an interest, it was sort of a lightning bolt moment."I think three seconds later, I was on the phone with Paraag."What was the immediate attraction when you got that call?"There are many things about the club that are attractive, but the big three are the supporters, the breadth and depth of the fan base."It's just incredible. Not seeing too many other clubs in Europe that have this sort of scope and this sort of passion. "Ibrox, we're obviously sitting here, an incredibly magical place, tough to come as an opposing player, and really magical to attend as a Rangers supporter."What was it like walking through the doors for the first time?"It's a physical experience when you walk upstairs. You walk up the marble stairs, and you walk the hall, the blue room, and the trophy room in particular. "You can just sort of feel the history in the club, and there's just no other way to describe it. "You walk in, and you instantly feel indebted to what has come before you, and yet you also have the desire to do everything you possibly can to not just continue the history, but also improve the trajectory."What are the biggest challenges in the short-term?"When I think about the short term, I guess I don't focus on challenges, I focus on opportunity, and we have what I believe are the right plans."We are beginning to have the right team in place, meaning the staff, I don't mean the squad, that will continue to change over the summer."So, I guess it's sort of a backwards answer, but instead of thinking about things that keep me awake at night, I think about the opportunity that's in front of us. "This club has so much potential, and we're eager to take that sort of potential energy and turn it into kinetic energy."I would say that there's real work to be done. I think everybody is aware of that. Paraag and I are two of the least patient people that you'll meet."We're also incredibly competitive, and so we share our supporters' sense of urgency and so we are in both feet today, and we'll move this forward as fast as we can."

Atlético Madrid eliminated from Club World Cup as PSG and Botafogo advance from Group B
It took nearly the entire second half, but relentless attacks on goal paid off for Antoine Griezmann in the 87th minute on Monday. After teammate Ángel Correa's shot was blocked by a defender, Griezmann sent a left-footed shot into the net to lift Atlético Madrid to a 1-0 victory over Botafogo in Group B action of the Club World Cup in Pasadena, California. Unfortunately, it was not enough to send the Spaniards on to the knockout rounds as Atlético Madrid needed a victory of at least three goals to advance. Paris Saint-Germain, who defeated the Seattle Sounders 2-0 on Monday, and Botafogo – who beat PSG earlier this week – claimed the group's top two spots. In the 10th minute, Botafogo had a prime opportunity to strike first after a through ball to Jefferson Savarino gave the striker a run at goal. Atlético Madrid's Jan Oblak, however, stretched out to keep the match scoreless. Julián Alvarez nearly gave Atlético Madrid the lead just before the half. The forward collected an entry pass just outside the goal area, turned and whipped a right-footed blast, but his attempt was pulled wide to the left to keep the match in a scoreless draw. Early in the second half, Atlético again put the pressure on Botafogo with Griezmann settling a lofted ball down the left side and beating his defender along the goal line. Griezmann then attempted to sneak in a left-footed shot by the near post, but it caromed off the post and out of play. In the 67th minute, Botafogo went on the offensive as Cuiabano lofted a cross into the box that Igor Jesus one-timed on goal. Again, Oblak was there to punch the attempt away to maintain a clean sheet. Atletico had several chances to build upon its lead following the 87th-minute score from Griezmann, but Botafogo continued to deny the Spaniards. Oblak finished with three saves for Atlético Madrid, who outshot Botafogo 23-7 (5-3 on goal). Botafogo's John was credited with four saves. In Group B's other game, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored in the first half, Achraf Hakimi struck in the second and Paris Saint-Germain secured their place in the last 16 of the Club World Cup with a 2-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders. Gianluigi Donnarumma kept his second clean sheet of the tournament in front of the Sounders home supporters without having to make a save as PSG (2-1-0, 6 points) closed out their Group B campaign and rebounded from a 1-0 defeat to Botafogo on Thursday. They'll face the second-place finisher from Group A in a second-round match on Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia. Seattle (0-3-0, 0 points) became the second MLS team to be eliminated following LAFC's exit after their 1-0 loss to ES Tunis in Group D on Thursday. Inter Miami, which is guaranteed to advance with a draw against Palmeiras later Thursday in Group A, could end up as PSG's next opponent. Sign up to Soccer with Jonathan Wilson Jonathan Wilson brings expert analysis on the biggest stories from European soccer after newsletter promotion Hakimi's goal came on a swift counter moments after one of the Sounders' best chances. Eventually, Bradley Barcola slalomed into the penalty area from the left, then picked out Hakimi on the opposite side of the box. Hakimi had time to take a composing touch before firing in an emphatic finish from about 10 yards out. As expected, PSG had the majority of the early chances. Désiré Doué's effort forced Stefan Frei into a sprawling aerial save in the 12th minute. But the Sounders had some success pressing high and nearly took a shock lead in the 19th minute after turning PSG over at the edge of its own box - only for Jesús Ferreira to fire his hurried effort well high of the target. The Parisians were fortunate with their 35th minute breakthrough. Vitinha's initial strike from the edge of the penalty area through traffic appeared to be heading wide of the right post. Instead it struck Kvaratskhelia's back, redirecting it neatly inside the upright before Frei could react. Twice PSG nearly doubled its lead early in the second. After a promising attack down the left, Doué's 56th-minute attempt from about 10 yards was blocked by Nouhou's critical sprawling intervention. Four minutes later, João Neves volleyed Hakimi's outswinging service from the right just wide of the left post.

Atletico exit Club World Cup despite Griezmann strike sealing win over Botafogo
PASADENA, June 23 (Reuters) - Antoine Griezmann scored with a strike late in the second half to give Atletico Madrid a 1-0 win over Botafogo on Monday, a result that could not save the LaLiga side from a group stage exit at the Club World Cup. Following Paris St Germain's 2-0 over Seattle Sounders in Monday's other Group B game, the French side finished level on six points with Botafogo and Atletico. However, PSG secured top spot thanks to a superior goal difference, with Brazilian side Botafogo also advancing to the last 16 after finishing second. Atletico, in third, and Seattle, bottom with no points after three games, were eliminated. Even though they were aware that a two-goal defeat would secure them a place in the next round, Botafogo's Igor Jesus and Jefferson Savarino forced Atletico keeper Jan Oblak to make a couple of brilliant saves. However, as Atletico made a late run desperately looking for the three goals they needed, substitute Griezmann fired the winner in the 87th minute from inside the box, a bittersweet goal that denied Botafogo a top-placed finish in the group and handing PSG that accolade.

With over 657 Starlink satellites supporting customers with the service, the U.S. wireless carrier is looking to eliminate mobile dead zones and extend connectivity to more than 500,000 square miles in the U.S. that traditional cell towers can't reach, including those of Verizon (VZ.N), opens new tab and AT&T (T.N), opens new tab. Katz said that the satellite beta adoption has been fairly balanced between the top 100 markets and small town rural areas in the U.S. T-Satellite will be included at no extra cost with T-Mobile's new "Experience Beyond" plan. For others — including AT&T and Verizon customers — the service will be available for $10 per month.
