A Pakistan-based hacker group has targeted the Army College of Nursing after an attempt to breach the G20 website, prompting the Indian government to issue a cybersecurity alert. All government ministries, departments, and agencies have been directed to strengthen their cyber defences to prevent further breaches.
Sources indicate that the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) has compiled an internal report in the wake of the latest cyberattack, which came shortly after the terror attack in Pahalgam. The agency suspects that more cyberattacks—particularly on critical infrastructure—may be imminent, potentially as part of a broader cyber warfare strategy.
An alert reviewed by News18 advises all departments to urgently enhance their cybersecurity protocols. They have been instructed to follow Cyber Hygiene Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) and implement robust protective measures to prevent unauthorised access and data breaches.
On Friday, the Pakistan-based hacker group Team Insane PK defaced the homepage of the Army College of Nursing. The homepage displayed the message 'You are hacked!" along with images related to the recent Pahalgam massacre and of militant Burhan Wani.
Authorities are treating this not only as a cybercrime but also as a psychological warfare tactic aimed at destabilising Indian institutions. Investigations are underway, and steps are being taken to trace the origin and network of the hacker group.

On June 10, officers of the Airport Special Cargo , Mumbai Customs - Zone III, interdicted and seized 489 grams of cocaine, from consignment declared as 'Artificial Flowers & Cards.' 9,000 undertrials released through Maharashtra's legal aid model: CM
1 2 Nagpur: Around 9,000 undertrial prisoners, nearly 45% of the 20,000 aided so far, were released through a pioneering legal aid initiative launched under chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in 2018. The first-of-its-kind model in the country, this effort has since been adopted by the central govt and is now being expanded nationwide with dedicated funding, a statement released by the govt says. Conceived as a response to the disproportionately high number of undertrials in Indian jails, the initiative focuses on providing structured legal assistance to inmates who often remain incarcerated due to lack of representation or inability to afford bail. As per the Prison Statistics India Report 2021, over 77% of inmates in India are undertrials, with an average jail occupancy rate of 130%. "This effort began with a clear objective, to deliver justice to those trapped in the system for no fault other than poverty or lack of support," said Fadnavis, highlighting the need for equity within the criminal justice framework. IIT graduate among 15 held for watching, circulating child porn
Representative Image HYDERABAD: Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB)'s child protection unit (CPU) on Wednesday arrested 15 repeat offenders for watching, storing, and distributing Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material (CSEAM). Among the arrested is a 30-year-old IIT-Kharagpur graduate employed at a Hyderabad-based software firm, reports Mahesh Buddi. The accused were booked under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. All of them are currently in judicial custody. The operation targeted individuals linked to 57 CSEAM complaints flagged by Interpol tip lines and routed through the Union home ministry. "All 15 were picked up in a single-day operation. These are repeat offenders linked to 34 previous cases, including 17 registered directly by TGCSB," said TGCSB director Shikha Goel. Among the accused, the IIT graduate allegedly earns Rs 35 lakh per annum and resides in Hyderabad with his wife and daughter. Another accused is an unemployed engineering graduate from Yadagirigutta with a prior CSEAM case. Others work in varied occupations, including automobile repair, construction, and retail sales. "The accused are aged between 19 and 50, mostly in their twenties, and largely from middle-class backgrounds. The children in the content appear to be aged between 6 and 14 years," Goel added.
