Alex Jones' Boden midi skirt is a must for your next holiday and it's £40 off

Daily Mirror2 days ago

Alex Jones debuted the perfect holiday wardrobe staple on The One Show, with her tropical print linen midi skirt ideal for the warmer weather – and it's now £40 off in Boden's sale
If you're looking for the pièce de résistance in your summer wardrobe, then look no further than Alex Jones' most recent fashion find. The presenter wore the Verity Linen Midi Skirt from Boden on The One Show on Monday night (June 23), and it checks off all the boxes that we're looking for when it comes to holidaywear.
From its colourful tropical print to its breezy linen material and floaty fit, it's truly the perfect pick for taking on holiday or even just tackling the UK heatwave at home, and there's even better news; it's currently included in Boden's major summer sale. Usually priced at £130, it's now been reduced to £91, saving you almost £40.
Although it's available in seven different prints and patterns, it's Alex's tropical print version that's really caught our eye. The bold colours and playful pattern scream summer, with everything from bananas and pineapples to crabs and lobsters printed on the midi skirt in bright summer colours.
The Verity Linen Midi Skirt has been designed to sit at your natural waist for a flattering fit, with pleated details which then flare out into a floaty A-line shape with plenty of volume. There's nothing worse than tight, form-fitting clothing in the heat, which is why there's an hidden elasticated waistband at the back to make sure you have room for that extra ice cream or indulgent dinner you've been eyeing up.
Made from 80% linen and 20% recycled linen, it's also the perfect breezy material to keep you cool even when it's scorching hot and humid outside. It even has two handy pockets at the side which are perfect for carrying around change or your room key.
Whilst we love Alex's chic Boden skirt, there are also some other fab options on the high street to shop this summer. We love Next's £59 Multi 100% Linen Midi Skirt, which has a retro-inspired postcard print, and New Look's affordable £32.99 Multicoloured Fruit Print Midi Skirt, both of which are available with a matching top for a cohesive co-ord look.
If you do want to get your hands on the Verity Linen Midi Skirt you'll have to be quick though, especially if you want to nab yourself Alex's exact print. The skirt is currently 'selling like hot cakes' according to Boden's website, and is starting to sell out in some sizes – thanks, no doubt, to Alex's on-screen approval of it.
You can also pick it up in petite, regular and long lengths, with the regular currently sold out in all sizes except eight to 16. However the long version is still available in all sizes from six to 22, whilst other prints and patterns still have almost all lengths and sizes in stock – with some even on sale with even more money off.
