Thousands are without power as severe weather rolled through Friday.

As of 9:10 p.m., approximately 1,988 AES Ohio customers are without power, according to an outage map.
Customers in the following counties who have reported outages:

Local nature preserve announces emergency partial closure due to storm damage
The Glen Helen Nature Preserve announced an emergency partial closure following a strong storm Saturday night into Sunday morning. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] The nature preserve posted to social media that the 405 Cory Street entrance is closed until further notice. Those heading out to the nature preserve are asked to use the Cascades parking lot at 1075 State Route 343. The storm ripped the boardwalk apart and caused a large tree to fall on the bridge, according to the post. It also disrupted the wildlife throughout the nature preserve, like the beavers. 'Our resident beavers who are those our devoted and humble engineers of the forest—were uprooted and flooded from their home, now seeking refuge after a night of chaos," the post said. The road to the Outdoor Education Center is temporarily closed due to a downed tree. The staff said they are now facing one of their largest restoration efforts. Those interested in donating to help restore the nature preserve can click here. The staff is also looking for community members willing to volunteer their time to help rebuild and repair. Strawberry Festival prepares for thousands of visitors with rain in the forecast
It will be a busy weekend for the Troy Strawberry Festival with organizers expecting at least 150,000 visitors. They say they are prepared, and have a plan in case of inclement weather. People in the area stopped by early to check out vendors before tomorrow's official start, including Jeremy Ovenshire. Ovenshire grew up in Troy and remembers the past Strawberry Festivals. 'As a little kid, we were on the levee, you know, and there was hardly anything up here, and it just kept getting bigger and bigger,' Ovenshire said. The city started prepping for the festival Thursday morning by putting up barriers. 'You don't want to have that always on the back of your mind,' Ovenshire said. 'Like, man, what if this isn't as safe as it used to be?' Jessica Silver is the head chair of the Strawberry Festival. Silver says they have shaded areas for festival goers. 'Festival location that our volunteers can come in and like, take rests and have some water,' Silver said. 'We also have EMS present on both locations and we have Kettering Health here.' Ovenshire recommends checking the weather before heading out to the festival. 'You know the forecast, it's not that bad,' Ovenshire said. 'And people still come out no matter what.' Threat of strong, severe storms Friday night through Saturday morning
We have to stay weather aware this weekend – another system is going to bring multiple rounds of strong and potentially severe storms across north Georgia. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] There is a higher level of risk for the north and northwest part of the state, but still some risk for metro Atlanta and areas south and east. Late Friday night through early on Saturday morning, scattered severe storms could produce damaging wind gusts and large hail, as well as a low risk of a brief tornado.
