According to reports, Mahesh and Parveen dated for nearly three years.
Mahesh Bhatt has often spoken about his relationship with the late actress Parveen Babi. Parveen Babi was battling undiagnosed mental disorders in the 1970s. Mahesh Bhatt dated Parveen while he was already married to Kiran Bhatt. In a recent chat, the filmmaker opened up about the actress's 'spiral into madness'.
During an appearance on The Himanshu Mehta Show, he said, 'Prior to coming to this interview, I was writing about her final spiralling into what is called madness. All attempts were made to make her see that once she had that kind of breakdown, there's no way she should try and fit herself back into this fiercely competitive space."
He added, 'She should have withdrawn, as she had a physiological vulnerability. But I think once you have tasted this business, the high of the arc lights, it's very difficult to turn your back on it. But what happened to her was an unimaginable tragedy." Mahesh also recalled Parveen's words: 'Darr lagta hai (I feel scared)."
He said, 'Behind closed doors, she was a simple woman from Junagadh, Gujarat, who wanted to put oil in her head and cook food at home. But the clothes she used to wear were very glamorous, so that she looked like a superstar. But on the inside, she was a simple girl."
Previously, in a chat with BBC Hindi, Mahesh said, 'I saw her go through her collapse. I went through it with her. And when you see someone breaking down in front of you… I saw her leave in the morning for her shoot with her make-up on, but when I came back in the evening, she was shivering and sitting in a corner like an animal. She kept saying, 'Someone is going to kill me.' She was suffering from schizophrenia."
The filmmaker said that the relationship ended on a painful note. He mentioned that while he tried to help Parveen, 'such kind of diseases take a toll". The filmmaker said that Parveen was nearly 26 years old when they started dating, and her condition was already severe. However, the actress started feeling better after meeting UG Krishnamurti, who told Mahesh, 'He told me that it is impossible for you to stay together because you will never leave movies and if she keeps doing movies, she will be destroyed."
Mahesh and Parveen dated for nearly three years. Parveen Babi passed away on 20 January 2005, at 55. She died in her apartment in Mumbai. An autopsy stated that she died from organ failure and diabetes.

BTS Star J-Hope Sells Off His High-End Seoul Apartment Purchased In 2016

J-Hope reportedly had purchased the apartment in July 2016 for a whopping 4 billion KRW. All the members of BTS are known to have lavish houses in South Korea. And J-Hope, aka Jung Hoseok, is no exception. The rapper and dancer, who owns four properties in Seoul, has now sold one of his luxury apartments at the famous Seoul Forest Trimage in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Reportedly, he bought that place in July 2016 for about 4 billion KRW. According to a report by Wow TV Korea, the 31-year-old sold the apartment earlier this year after owning it for nearly nine years. He made a big profit of around 2.7 billion KRW. Even after paying 1 billion KRW in taxes, J-Hope managed to earn a profit of 1.65 billion KRW from the sale of the property. What Are The Other Luxurious Properties Owned By J-Hope? J-Hope loves luxury items like watches, bags and jewellery. But his real estate investments are a big part of his wealth. Besides the one that J-Hope has sold now, he also owns a 152 square meter apartment in the same Forest Trimage complex. He reportedly purchased the place in 2018 for 3.7 billion KRW. Expanding his investment in real estate, the BTS star purchased two opulent apartments in the Aper Hangang complex last year. He reportedly bought a penthouse with an area of 273.86 square meters, along with three rooms and four bathrooms, for 12 billion KRW in cash. Later, he purchased another unit right below it for a whopping 10 billion KRW. It has a floor area of 232.86 square meters and comes with three bedrooms and three bathrooms on a single floor. The total value of properties owned by J-Hope stands at 27 billion KRW. Interestingly, he bought all the apartments in cash, without taking any loans. What's Next For J-Hope? The BTS member, who got discharged from the military in October last year, released three back-to-back singles this year. Starting with the release of Sweet Dreams in March, feat. Miguel, followed by Mona Lisa just days later, and concluding the releases with Killin' It Girl feat. GloRilla on June 13. He was also on his first worldwide concert tour titled Hope on the Stage from February to June. Currently, J-Hope has reunited with his groupmates in Los Angeles, where they are preparing for their comeback album, which is slated to be released sometime in the first half of 2026. view comments First Published: July 30, 2025, 08:09 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. WWE NXT Results 29 July: Ethan Page Retains North American Title, Hulk Hogan Honoured

Last Updated: Page managed to pip Santino Marella in the headline fixture of the episode to hold on to his title on a day the NXT paid tribute to the legendary Hulk Hogan. The latest episode of WWE NXT encompassed a swathe of action-packed bouts, including a NXT North American Championship fight between holder Ethan Page and the iconic Santino Marella. The show began with a tribute to the legendary Hulk Hogan, who was honoured with a 10-bell salute. Jaida Parker vs Jazmyn Nyx with Fatal Influence The opening bout of the day featured Parker and Nyx, who was flanked by the Fatal Influence duo of Jacy Jayne and Fallon Heley. Nyx dominated large portions of the fight, and at one point looked like the win was hers for the taking; however, Parker demonstrated resilience to hit back to turn the tide of proceedings as she finished her opponent off with a signature Hipnotic. Charlie Dempsey vs Tavion Heights Wren Sinclair was in both their corners as Dempsey and Heights put up one of the most eye-catching show on the day in a bout that could have gone either way. Despite trading blow-for-blow Heights managed to eke out the win over Dempsey in dramatic fashion as he pinned his opponent following a belly-to-belly slam after Dempey had kicked out after a piledriver. It was Fallon Henley's turn to enter the ring with Lash her stipulated opponent on the day as the other members of Fatal Influence, Jayne and Nyx supported her from ringside. The matchup ultimately swung the way of Henley thanks to an intereference from Nia Jax, who took out Lash to set Henley up for a triumphant finish. Je'Von Evans vs Wes Lee In a matchup full of twists and turns, Evans had to dig deep to pip out Lee, who was flanked by The High Ryze at the bout in arguably the longest running fixture of the evening. Ethan Page vs Santino Marella NXT North American Championship holder Page managed to successfully defend his crown against the seasoned Marella in the spotlight fixture of the day. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Film On Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder Case In Works, Raja Raghuvanshi's Brother Gives Consent

Family of murdered businessman Raja Raghuvanshi agrees to a film on his honeymoon killing, with 80% of shooting set in Indore. Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder Case: A chilling real-life crime that grabbed headlines earlier this year is now being made into a film. The murder of Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi during his honeymoon in Meghalaya left the nation stunned – and now, his family has given the green light to bring his story to the big screen. The film, currently titled Honeymoon in Shillong, is being directed by SP Nimbawat. The story will focus on the events leading up to Raja's death, the police investigation, and the shocking arrests that followed – including that of his own wife, Sonam, and her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha. Speaking to reporters, Raja's brother Sachin said the family agreed to the film in the hope that it would help people understand what really happened. He said, as per PTI, 'We gave our consent for the upcoming film on the murder case. We believe that if we do not bring the story of my brother's murder on the big screen, people will not be able to know who was right and who was wrong." Another brother, Vipin, added that they also want the movie to show a true and fair picture of Meghalaya, where the crime took place. Director SP Nimbawat described the project as a cautionary tale about betrayal. 'Through our film, we want to give a message to the public that such incidents of betrayal should be stopped," he said. He confirmed that the script is finished and that filming will mainly take place in Indore, with some scenes shot across various locations in Meghalaya. '80 per cent of its shooting will be done in Indore and the remaining 20 per cent in different areas of Meghalaya," Nimbawat said, while keeping the cast details under wraps for now. The case itself drew a lot of media attention earlier this year. Raja had travelled to Meghalaya in May with his wife for their honeymoon. Days later, he was reported missing. On June 2, his body was found in a deep gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra area, also known as Cherrapunji. Police arrested eight people, including his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, and her suspected partner, who allegedly helped plan the gruesome murder.
