Texas A&M is 'leading the charge' for elite 2027 4-star OT
Heading into their second season with the program, coach Mike Elko and OL coach Adam Cushing are on the same page, wanting to build the program from the ground up, starting in the trenches. This season, Texas A&M's offensive line is considered one of, if not the best, offensive lines in the country, which has continued to attract future O-line recruits.
On Thursday, it was revealed by On3/Rivals insider Sam Spiegelman that 2027 four-star offensive tackle Kaeden Scott, who received his offer from Texas A&M last October, is not trending towards committing to the Aggies after taking unofficial visits to College Station and the Texas Longhorns this time last year, while returning to A&M this summer.
According to sources, including Spiegelman, Scott will take his first game-day visit of the year during the Aggies' 2025 season-opener vs. UTSA on Saturday, August 30, as his relationship with Adam Cushing has continued to grow. Speigelman spoke to Kaeden Scott's mother, Christy Scott, who is already highly impressed with what Elko and his staff are offering her talented son.
'We are in contact daily. Texas A&M is making it hard for other teams … I tell you,' she stated. 'I love Coach Cushing because he is a straightforward guy and tells you it like it is. Coach Elko has that football uncle vibe you've gotta love.'
Standing at 6'7" and 280 pounds, Kaeden Scott is already an established run blocker. Still, like DeMarrion Scott, he has plenty of upside as a pass protector, possessing a wide base and solid feet to keep pass rushers from submerging the pocket.
According to Rivals, Scott is currently positioned as the 175th-ranked prospect and is the 24th-ranked prospect in Texas in the 2027 cycle.

Steelers receive injury update on 3 players following preseason loss to Buccaneers
Injuries hit Pittsburgh hard throughout the preseason Week 2 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — and HC Mike Tomlin has provided an injury update on three Steelers. Following the 14-17 loss to the Buccaneers, Tomlin addressed several health concerns with reporters in the postgame press conference — particularly those of OT Gareth Warren, LS Christian Kuntz, and OLB Nick Herbig. Tomlin started off the injury updates with Warren, an undrafted rookie offensive lineman, who's being evaluated for a concussion. Regarding Kuntz, Tomlin acknowledged that he wasn't ready to speak on hypotheticals, but stated there was some 'good news' regarding the chest injury that caused him to leave the contest. He was then asked if Herbig, who left the game with a hamstring injury, was okay, to which Tomlin responded with a resounding 'yes.' Based on Tomlin's comments, it appears that none of the three Steelers are expected to miss significant time — an ideal situation with almost 20 days remaining before their regular-season kickoff versus the New York Jets.
