American Music Awards to be held May 26 in Las Vegas
Feb. 24 (UPI) -- The American Music Awards will return May 26 on Memorial Day.
The show "celebrating the most iconic music in America" will air live at 8 p.m. EST on CBS and also stream on Paramount+, a press release states.
The 51st ceremony will continue its tradition of allowing fans to vote for their favorite music artists.
"On Memorial Day, the AMAs pay special tribute to our veterans through authentic performances and unforgettable moments," an official description reads.

The 50th anniversary ceremony did not take place in October 2024 as planned, with CBS instead airing the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special, which reached over 13 million viewers.
Jennifer Hudson, Brad Paisley, Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, Jimmy Kimmel, Smokey Robinson and Samuel L. Jackson were among the stars to appear in the TV special.

The show follows underground boxing in Britain, and filming kicks off in London later this year. The eight-episode series follows a boxing champion who returns to London after doing time "to seek vengeance against the crime family he thinks betrayed him," according to an official synopsis. The series is produced through 50 Cent's G-Unit Film & Television. "I anticipate this to be more successful than anything I've done before," he said in a press release. "Boxing's raw stakes are gonna take it to another level." 50 Cent's production company is behind Starz's Power franchise and For Life on ABC.

Canceled TV shows in 2025
(NewsNation) — 2025 has been a huge year for TV, especially with hit shows like 'Severance' and 'The White Lotus' releasing new series. But some fans have faced bad news as their favorites have been canceled. Shows like 'The Sex Lives of College Girls' and 'S.W.A.T.' had their last seasons recently, as both weren't renewed this year. CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said, 'We have to be fiscally responsible,' when talking about shows that have been canceled. Todd Chrisley shares first social media message since Trump pardon 'It's not easy to end shows, and we had a lot of options this year,' Reisenbach said, according to Deadline. 'The schedule is really full, and so we always have to look at all of our shows, look at the aggregate information, the creative of where they are in their life cycle, what the finances look like, what the ratings are, and then we make those tough decisions.' Here are some of the TV shows that have been canceled this year. Despite 'Suits' doing extremely well, its spin-off, 'Suits LA,' has been canceled after only one season, according to multiple sources. The NBC drama 'Found' has also been canceled after two seasons. NBC has also canceled two sitcoms: 'Lopez vs. Lopez' and 'Night Court.' CBS has canceled 'The Equalizer' after five seasons, as well as 'Poppa's House' and 'The Summit.' Amazon Prime also canceled two 'Citadel' spinoffs, after one season of each series. Instead, the storylines of each spinoff will be put into the second season of 'Citadel.' CBS also canceled several popular TV shows, including 'FBI: International' and 'FBI: Most Wanted.' Then, FX canceled 'The Old Man' after two seasons, reportedly due to a delayed production schedule. Watch: Jesse Williams plays fixer in 'Hotel Costiera' trailer
June 13 (UPI) -- Grey's Anatomy alum Jesse Williams portrays fixer Daniel de Luca in Prime Video's upcoming series Hotel Costiera, which arrives on the streamer Sept. 24. A trailer released Friday shows Daniel, a former U.S. Marine, interacting with guests at an Almalfi Coast luxury resort. "In addition to dealing with the wealthy guests' problems, Daniel is also on the trail of Alice, one of the owner's daughters who disappeared a month earlier," an official synopsis reads. "Daniel must do everything he can to bring her home, but facing those who kidnapped the girl will be more challenging than any problem Daniel has ever faced." Hotel Costiera, which is directed by Fargo's Adam Bernstein and Giacomo Martelli, will arrive on the streamer with six episodes. Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva and Jean-Hugues Anglade also star.
