Upon the release of Luis' GPA, some fans took to social media to share their thoughts.

"Proud of these guys," said another fan.
"So not only was RJ Luis Big East POY & Big East Tournament MVP but he was The Academic All American of the Year!! Incredible. Is SJU Basketball going to Retire #12 & have an RJ Luis Jr Day? Yes he has NBA aspirations, but how isn't he still part of the Family? #SJUBB We are…"

MSU hockey signs Adam Nightingale to contract extension

MSU hockey signs Adam Nightingale to contract extension 'My family and I are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to represent Michigan State University. To coach at an institution like this and be part of the East Lansing community is a privilege and an awesome responsibility." #GoGreen — Michigan State Hockey (@MSU_Hockey) June 13, 2025 Michigan State hockey has extended head coach Adam Nightingale the school announced on Friday. The school release didn't include details on the official contract extension for Nightingale, but according to Detroit Free Press reporter Chris Solari this will be a new deal that runs through 2030. This new deal is a five-year rollover contract that was officially approved by the Michigan State University Board of Trustees on Friday. "I'm appreciative of the support the Board of Trustees and President Kevin Guskiewicz have demonstrated with today's announcement of a new contract for Adam Nightingale, helping to ensure he leads the Spartan hockey program for many years to come," J Batt, Michigan State Vice President and Director of Athletics said in a press release. "Under Coach Nightingale's guidance, Michigan State has returned to its position as one of the elite programs in college hockey, creating incredible excitement both within the hockey community and throughout all of our loyal supporters. Coming off back-to-back Big Ten Championships, there's a buzz that even greater things are on the horizon. Personally, I can't wait to experience the excitement of the sold-out crowds at Munn Ice Arena this winter, in what could be a truly special season." Nightingale is entering his fourth season at Michigan State, where he has experienced a ton of success. Nightingale has quickly brought the Spartans back into the national spotlight of college hockey with back-to-back Big Ten championships and No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans are expected to be a top five team again next year as well. "My family and I are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to represent Michigan State University," Nightingale said in a press release. "To coach at an institution like this and be part of the East Lansing community is a privilege and an awesome responsibility. The support our program receives, from President Kevin Guskiewicz, the Board of Trustees, Director of Athletics J Batt and the entire Spartan family, will never be taken for granted, and we make sure our players and staff understand that on a daily basis. Kevin Durant trade coming in ‘next few days' with three contenders making big push

A Kevin Durant trade appears imminent. ESPN's Shams Charania reported Friday on 'The Pat McAfee Show' that the Suns superstar could be traded 'in the next few days' with the Rockets, Heat and Timberwolves at the forefront of the negotiations. 'There is some serious traction on conversations, on trade scenarios with the Suns,' Charania said, noting that between six and eight teams have reached out to Phoenix, but that the front office has keyed in on conversations with those three contenders in the past day or two. Advertisement Charania initially reported that the Knicks were in the mix for Durant, but The Post's Stefan Bondy reported they were not a suitor. Suns forward Kevin Durant during a game on March 30, 2025. NBAE via Getty Images On Thursday, NBA insider Jake Fischer reported there is an 'increasingly strong belief' Durant will be moved before the NBA Draft on June 25. Durant is in the final year of his four-year, $166 million deal, which potential trade partners must take into account before pulling the trigger on a deal. Advertisement An extension for Durant is one of the crucial questions remaining in talks. And the teams that are considering trading for Durant must consider whether they would be willing to sign the 36-year-old to an expensive extension, or if they'd be content to have Durant as a one-year rental. Advertisement Charania likened that potential situation to the Raptors' 2018 trade for Kawhi Leonard, who delivered Toronto a title in his one season with the team before signing with the Clippers in free agency. Durant is in the latter stages of his career, but he has remained a dominant scorer. ESPN's Shams Charania reported Friday that Kevin Durant could be traded 'in the next few days.' @PatMcAfeeShow/X The 15-time All-Star averaged 26.6 points in 62 games with the Suns last season, although the team went 36-46 and missed the playoffs. Advertisement Durant would likely have a crack at a third NBA title with either Houston, Minnesota or Miami — although the Heat aren't as well-positioned to make a deep playoff run as the Rockets and Timberwolves are. In Houston, Durant would slot in alongside an exciting upstart team with young stars like Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson. Minnesota presents the opportunity to play with an already contending squad that features superstar Anthony Edwards.

Clemson baseball adds All-American outfielder Ryan Wideman from transfer portal for 2026 season

CLEMSON — Clemson baseball landed Ryan Wideman, an All-American outfielder, out of the transfer portal on June 11. Wideman, 6-foot-5, 204 pounds, batted .398 with 20 doubles, 10 home runs, 68 RBIs and 45 stolen bases in 60 games with Western Kentucky. He was named Conference USA player and newcomer of the year and first-team all-conference. He also earned All-American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Perfect Game. He has one year of eligibility remaining. Wideman played a key role in Western Kentucky's first run to the NCAA Tournament since 2009. He likely will slot in to replace star center fielder Cam Cannarella, who is projected to be taken in the first or second round of the 2025 MLB Draft, which will be held July 13-14. Advertisement Wideman also is draft eligible and could opt for the majors depending on where he is selected. He is ranked No. 155 in the top 200 draft prospects. MORE: Five games that will decide if Dabo Swinney, Clemson return to College Football Playoff Before Western Kentucky, Wideman spent two seasons at Georgia Highlands College, where he hit .423 with 22 home runs total and earned junior college All-American honors in 2023 and 2024. Wideman joins Ty Dalley, Tyler Lichtenberger and Bryce Clavon as Clemson's transfer hitting additions. All will be needed to replace key contributors like Cannarella, Dominic Listi, Andrew Ciufo and Josh Paino. Advertisement Clemson has hosted an NCAA regional for three straight seasons and suffered an early exit in 2025. It was the sixth time in seven years that it was eliminated as NCAA regional hosts since 2011, and the 11th time in its past 12 regional appearances that it has failed to reach the super regional. The Tigers are landing key hitters and pitchers via the portal because of expiring eligibility, the portal and the MLB draft. They have not reached the College World Series since 2010.
