Bayda undersecretary inspects summer activity programs
Bayda – Saba:
Bayda undersecretary for Administrative Units Affairs Abdullah al-Jamali on Tuesday conducted an inspection visit to review the ongoing summer courses and activities in Bayda city.
Joined by Director of Bayda City district Ahmed al-Rasas, al-Jamali toured the Martyr Leader and Martyr al-Sammad Summer Centers located in al-Sharia area. The officials observed various educational, cultural, and skills-based programs being offered to youth during the summer break.
Center administrators briefed the delegation on student participation, the implementation of educational modules, and the diverse array of religious, cultural, and sporting competitions designed to engage the youth.
Al-Jamali commended the strong turnout and enthusiasm among students from across the governorate, noting that such programs play a vital role in enriching young minds with religious and scientific knowledge while shielding them from harmful external influences.
'Youth are the cornerstone of nation-building,' he stated, stressing the importance of reinforcing their faith-based identity and awareness amid what he described as a "cultural invasion" targeting the younger generation. He praised the centers for their focus on Quranic education and fostering a resilient, values-driven generation.
The summer programs are part of a broader effort to engage students constructively during the school break, instilling both knowledge and national values.

Al-Azhar Grand Imam: Palestinian people are facing genocide amid international inaction
Cairo – Saba: Al-Azhar Grand Imam, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, affirmed on Sunday that the Palestinian people are being subjected to genocide and ethnic cleansing, describing it as the worst in modern history. According to Quds Press, during a meeting with Gambian Foreign Minister Mamadou Tangara at Al-Azhar headquarters, Al-Tayeb stated that the genocide in Gaza has been ongoing for nearly two years under unprecedented international apathy and weakness. The Grand Imam added that the Israeli enemy has committed horrific massacres, deliberately targeting innocent civilians—children, women, the elderly, and the youth—as well as destroying hospitals, mosques, churches, and schools. He emphasized that 'this entity has proven itself to be anti-humanity,' referring to the Israeli regime's practices against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories. The enemy resumed its aggression and tightened siege on the Gaza Strip in the early hours of March 18, 2025, following a two-month pause that began under a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19. However, the enemy violated the terms of the agreement throughout the truce period. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)
