'Those who once bowed before mafias and mortgaged power are now trying to divide society along caste lines,' he said, addressing a gathering at Lok Bhavan on the eve of Bhamashah Jayanti and Vyapari Kalyan Diwas.
' Earlier, they extorted money in the name of jobs. Now, they are trying to divide society in the name of caste. That is why I say: 'Batoge toh katoge, ek rahoge toh nek rahoge',' the chief minister asserted.
Adityanath called upon society to rise above caste divisions and embrace the ideals of Bhamashah, the legendary figure known for his unwavering patriotism, sacrifice and support to Maharana Pratap.
He described Bhamashah as a timeless symbol of unity, service, and dedication to the nation.
He also cited the historical contributions of Mysore's King Chamarajendra Wadiyar and Khetri's King Ajit Singh, who supported Swami Vivekananda's journey to the Parliament of Religions in Chicago.
Similarly, he mentioned how Baroda's King Sayajirao Gaekwad awarded a scholarship to Dr B.R. Ambedkar for higher education abroad.
'Where was caste in these acts of support?' he asked, adding, 'These were examples of selfless, noble contributions that gifted the world great minds like Vivekananda and Ambedkar.'
'Bhamashah's sacrifice symbolised the true spirit of 'Nation First'. He believed that wealth earned from the country should be returned in service of the country,' the chief minister said.
'Every time we remember Maharana Pratap, we will also remember Bhamashah,' he added.
Adityanath stated that in 2016, the murder of a trader took place in Lucknow and a jeweller was shot in Sultanpur—incidents that occurred under a regime which provided shelter to criminals.
He stated that under his administration, the security of both traders and women has been treated as paramount.
'We made it clear that anyone who endangers their safety will face strict consequences—Yamraj will cut their ticket,' he remarked.
The chief minister added that when action was taken against miscreants, those who once thrived on caste-based politics began shedding crocodile tears.
He also talked about the 'One District One Product' (ODOP) scheme, which he said has boosted traditional industries and generated employment for millions.
He instructed the GST department to organise annual felicitation ceremonies for the top 10 GST-paying traders in the state capital and the top 10 in each district.
The chief minister announced that any GST-paying trader who suffers an accident will be given ₹ 10 lakh in assistance from the government.
Adityanath called on traders to join the government's efforts for environmental protection. 'River rejuvenation and plantation drives are ongoing in every district. Traders and business organisations should actively participate,' he urged.
CM felicitates top taxpayers
The chief minister visited an exhibition showcasing the life of Bhamashah. He also presented the Bhamashah Samman to the state's top revenue-contributing traders and honoured several others for their exemplary contributions to society.

New Delhi [India], June 30 (ANI): Congress MP Ranjeet Ranjan condemned the alleged gang rape of a law student in Kolkata and said that such cases were being politicised and this cannot be tolerated. This comes amid mounting protests by several political parties over the incident. Ranjeet Ranjan said, 'In any state, whether it is our government or the BJP government, if there is harassment against women, then it is absolutely condemnable and it should not be tolerated in any situation. We went to Odisha and in a week there were cases of gang rapes in three different places. Whether it is Odisha or West Bengal, there should be no attempt to protect anyone, and it is unfortunate that everywhere it is politicised and as a woman, this cannot be tolerated.' Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh on Sunday hit back at Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's remarks against the TMC government, asserting that the state remains one of the 'safest places for women' in the country. Responding to Pradhan's demand to 'free' West Bengal from TMC rule, Ghosh accused the Union Minister of ignoring atrocities against women in BJP-ruled states. 'Tell Dharmendra Pradhan to talk about crimes against women in places like Unnao, Hathras, Prayagraj, and Delhi first... Police take action in West Bengal. Social crimes have lessened in the state. This is the safest state for women,' the TMC leader said. The remarks came hours after Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan alleged that West Bengal under TMC rule was facing a governance crisis similar to the Emergency imposed in 1975. Drawing a parallel, Pradhan said the TMC was carrying forward the legacy of the Congress-era Emergency by eroding constitutional values. '50 years ago, an Emergency was declared to dismantle, tear apart, and disregard the country's Constitution... It is disheartening that the party carrying forward that Congress culture is the Trinamool Congress. It has not yet overcome that mindset,' Pradhan said during a press conference. Meanwhile, Kalyan Banerjee in the latest row said, 'Yes, incidents do happen. Not all men are like this, but some have a perverted mindset. These perverted men then come out on the streets, hold protests and demand the death penalty.' On June 25, a female student was allegedly gang-raped inside the South Calcutta Law College in Kolkata's Kasba area. The police have arrested four persons, including the main accused Manojit Mishra, and formed a five-member Special team to investigate the incident. (ANI)

Canada: Chief organiser of National Security Conference calls for unity against extremism
Ontario [Canada], June 30 (ANI): Ritesh Malik, Chairperson of Canada India Foundation and chief organiser of National Security Conference, said that the conference was against extremism in Canada. Malik, while talking to ANI, said that the conference aimed to call the policymakers of Canada to assist them in the cause. He said, 'We are doing this conference united against extremism today here in Canada, which we as Canadians feel is very important and timely for all of us. As a community, we are going through a lot of threats in terms of extremism, and this is not against any community, any individual, or any organisation. This conference is for Canada, to preserve Canada in its pristine state, and to ensure that we address the current challenges we face as Canadians in Canada, particularly in dealing with extremism and the suffering of communities daily. We need to call this out and make sure government policymakers and everybody who cares for Canada listens to us and make sure they do their best to help Canada.' Former Canadian Minister Ujjal Dosanjh said that the question of extremism in Canada is not paid much attention to by the lawmakers either. He said, 'Today's meeting is important. I think it's probably one of the first public meetings in a long time that would highlight the question of extremism in Canada, particularly in the Indo-Canadian community, and how the politicians in this country haven't paid much attention to it, and how extremism, drugs, smuggling and even the immigration rackets all sometimes come together coalesce to create problems for our society.' Sanjay Lazar, an aviation expert and author who lost his entire family in the 1985 Air India bombing, said that he hoped to establish a learning centre to bring about awareness about the cause. 'This is also the 40th anniversary of the Air India Kanishka bombing where I lost my entire family. I'm here to speak to everyone in the hope that we will be able to establish a memorial learning centre in Canada and in India, and also bring this subject into effect in the education system right across Ontario, BC and Canada,' he told ANI. Wyatt Claypool, a Canadian journalist said that the conference helped in taking Canadian foreign policy seriously. He said, 'It's a great conference as we're talking about national security and foreign policy seriously. Canada has become a country that often backstabs its allies. Whether it's India or Israel, we take the wrong side. We talk like second-year foreign policy students obsessed with de-escalation. We forget that sometimes there is a right and a wrong.' Danial Bordman, another Canadian journalist, said that radical elements are infiltrating Canada, including schools now, which is the focus of the event. He said, 'The focus of today's event is to counter the various types of extremism rising through Canada. We have Islamist groups, the Muslim Brotherhood, IRGC connected, Pakistani ISI-funded, Khalistanis, and radical far-left elements infiltrating our schools. So all the worst people in the country are very mad that this is happening. But I'd say all the best people in the country are in this building right now. So I'm excited to be here.' The Canada India Foundation (CIF), in collaboration with The Alliance to Fight Secessionism and International Khalistani Terrorism (TAFSIK), convened a powerful one-day National Security Conference on Sunday under the theme 'United Against Extremism'. Held at the Paramount EventSpace in Woodbridge, Ontario, the conference brought together prominent voices from across Canada to deliberate on the growing threats posed by extremist ideologies, foreign interference, and their impact on Canada's domestic security.
