Disney World fans threaten to BOYCOTT as theme park reveals closing date of beloved ride: 'Canceling my trip'
Disney World fans are threatening to boycott the theme park after it unveiled the first major details on its upcoming Cars land... and finally confirmed the closing date of a beloved ride. The Happiest Place on Earth announced last year that it would be getting rid of Tom Sawyer Island in Magic Kingdom's Frontierland to make way for a new Lightning McQueen-themed area. Now, the theme park has revealed when it will officially be shut down - and the news has left hoards of Disney fans across the globe outraged. Tom Sawyer Island, as well as the Liberty Square Riverboat ride, will have its final day of operation on July 6, 2025. That means guests only have a little more than a month left to enjoy the serene island inspired by the stories of Mark Twain. Immediately, Disney park-goers took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their heartbreak over the announcement, and some even admitted that they no longer wanted to visit the park. 'Canceling my trip in October and sadly, will never visit that park again,' one user announced. 'This is an abomination and a real disservice to all those who booked summer trips hoping to enjoy all this one more time,' added another. 'Talk about timing. Thankful we enjoyed it recently.' 'Never going back,' someone else wrote. 'I have a lot of happy memories there, and I'll keep them.' 'Huge mistake. Huge,' a fourth tweet read, while a fifth said, 'Largest downgrade.' 'Sorry but I'm not going to Disney World anymore. I'm staying at my home park, which is Disneyland in Anaheim, California,' a different user shared. 'I am heartbroken at the loss of Tom Sawyer island this is the WORST decision ever,' someone else penned. 'This is a travesty! Build new somewhere else. We want nostalgia,' urged another person. Disney shared new details about the upcoming changes coming to Magic Kingdom in a press release on Tuesday. The new Cars land will contain two dazzling attractions. One will 'be geared towards smaller guests and will be fun for the whole family,' while the second will 'invite you on a thrilling rally race through the mountains.' The company explained that the new area will be called Piston Peak National Park and described it as an 'awe-inspiring wilderness filled with towering trees, snowcapped mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, roaring rivers and impressive geysers.' The Cars land will contain two attractions. One will be 'fun for the whole family,' while the other will 'invite you on a thrilling race through the mountains.' Concept art for the land is seen 'While fictional, Piston Peak is inspired by the Rocky Mountain area and the history and iconic sights of the American Frontier and its national parks,' it added. 'Inside Piston Peak, guests will be able to see and explore the visitor lodge, Ranger HQ, trails, and more - all set within the Disney and Pixar Cars universe. 'To make sure these buildings fit naturally within the surrounding majestic landscapes, Imagineers are using a style of architecture called "Parkitecture," which was developed by the National Park Service to create structures that harmonize with the natural environment. 'Rugged mountains with dramatic peaks will be nestled along a calming waterway across from Grizzly Hall and soaring geysers from the famed Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will stretch into the trails of our off-road rally.' Disney also promised that 'imagineers are hard at work' bringing the 'first-ever land inspired by the Disney villains' to life, which will be located behind the Big Thunder Mountain ride in Magic Kingdom. Tons of other new stuff are in the works at Disney World, including an Encanto river ride, an Indiana Jones attraction, and a Zootopia show at Animal Kingdom. But that means guests will have to say goodbye to DinoLand and the Dinosaur ride, which is slated to close in 2026. Armie Hammer reunites with ex-wife and kids for milestone... after scary cannibalism scandal
Armie Hammer had a rare reunion with his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers to celebrate an important milestone with their eight-year-old son Ford. The 38-year-old actor and his 42-year-old ex Chambers share two children together, Ford and 10-year-old daughter Harper. The Social Network star and his entrepreneur/TV personality wife were married from 2010 until their split in 2020, with their divorce finalized in 2023, amid his cannibalism scandal. The exes have been co-parenting their children since the split, and they came together to celebrate Ford completing the second grade. Chambers shared a joyful snap of the exes and their kids, with Chambers sharing his second grade completion certificate. 'Happy 2nd Grade Step-Up Fordy Boy!' the doting mom said in the snap, with her son holding on to the family's dog. Armie was seen smiling in the snap with his arm around Harper, donning a black t-shirt, black pants and holding a black coat. Chambers donned a stylish black and white striped dress along with gold bracelets and gold earrings for the outing. Hammer shot to fame after playing the Winklevoss Twins in 2010's The Social Network, that was instrumental in launching his career. That rising career quickly came crashing down in 2021 when multiple accusations of sexual assault, rape and even cannibalism surfaced. While the LAPD launched an investigation, no charges were filed against the actor, who has admitted to consensual BDSM and emotional abuse, but denies all sexual assault and cannibalism charges, which stemmed from a woman named Courtney Vucekovich who alleged he said he wanted to cook and eat one of her ribs. Chambers recently promoted her upcoming show Toxic on The Today Show, where she admitted that things were great with her ex and children. 'They're amazing. We're amazing. I think we've never been stronger as a family,' Chambers said. 'This show touches on domestic violence, it touches on really unhealthy patterns. For me, I just experienced betrayal,' she said of her relationship with Hammer. 'But in that process, I really learned so much about patterns and how parenting, really it comes down to parenting,' Chambers added. 'It comes down to humanity and psychology and all of those interesting things,' she said, while admitting she's not a fan of the term 'co-parenting.' 'I don't love that word co-parenting, right? I think we're just parents and everyone is just parenting as well as they can with what they have,' Chambers said. 'Our family is, again, so strong and better than ever. But for me, divorce in itself is just trauma, Chambers admitted.

Friends actor warns Jewish people ‘the cavalry aint coming' after Colorado flamethrower attack
Friends actor Michael Rapaport has warned Jewish people that 'the cavalry ain't coming' after a horrific flamethrower attack at a pro-Israel march in Boulder, Colorado. On an episode of his podcast 'I Am Rapaport' that was released Tuesday, Rapaport, who played Phoebe Buffay's boyfriend Gary on the hit TV show Friends, spoke out about the terror attack last Sunday that left 12 demonstrators injured. 'What's going on in the world for Jewish people, what's going on in the world for people that support and believe in the right of the existence of Israel, a.k.a. Zionists, is frightening,' Rapaport said. Rapaport, who is Jewish, said, 'I don't think I have felt scared since October 7,' referring to Hamas' deadly attack on Israel in 2023. The actor said that he has spoken out for other groups in their time of need, but now no one is supporting him and his fellow Jewish and Zionist people. 'I put a f***ing black square [on social media] like a f***ing a****** during Black Lives Matter. Don't you feel like an a****** now? For putting up a black square during Black Lives Matter when nobody is coming and saying anything on our behalf.' Rapaport said that he's been traveling all over the U.S. and in Israel as an outspoken supporter of Israel for the last '500 days.' 'All the time people go, 'Why isn't anyone saying anything … Do you feel ignored, do you feel alienated?' Yes, yes, yes,' he said. The actor continued: 'I'm telling you something, Jewish people, the cavalry ain't coming. The cavalry is not coming for us. They don't give a f***.' 'It's sad, it's frustrating. You feel used. You feel manipulated. You feel like a sucker. I feel like it, too!' he added. Mohamed Sabry Soliman, a 45-year-old Egyptian national, was arrested and charged with a federal hate crime and 16 counts of attempted murder in connection with the attack. He had entered the US on a visa that expired two years ago and was subsequently granted work authorization, which expired last March. The suspect told authorities he spent a year planning the attack and specifically targeted a 'Zionist group.' Witnesses reported Soliman shouting 'Free Palestine!' before firing a 'makeshift flamethrower' and Molotov cocktails, per the FBI. The victims were participating in a 'Run For Their Lives' event in support of the release of the remaining hostages held in Gaza.
