Sheikh Khaled Al-Bader welcomes CAS rulings in favor of Asian Aquatics Federation

KUWAIT CITY, March 18: The President of the Kuwait and Asian Aquatics Federations Sheikh Khaled Al-Bader Al-Sabah welcomed the two decisions issued by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which dismissed the cases filed by the Swimming Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The court ruled that all decisions taken during the Asian Aquatics Federation General Assembly in Doha on February 12, 2024, were legal and valid, in line with the principles of good governance.
The CAS also ruled that the decisions made during the Asian Aquatics Federation's elective General Assembly meeting on April 26, 2024, in Bangkok were legal and valid, in line with good governance standards.
The court confirmed that the results of the federation's Board of Directors elections were legal and by the federation's constitution.
Sheikh Khaled Al-Bader expressed his satisfaction with the legal rulings issued by the CAS, emphasizing that they were in favor of the Asian Aquatics Federation.
He stressed that it is time to move past these events and focus on the future, without any interference from external parties in the affairs of the aquatics community.
