RUSSIA has dismissed Donald Trump's warning he is sending nuclear submarines closer to Russia as a 'temper tantrum'.
While the Kremlin has yet to respond, the US President has been mocked by local media.

Former major general Leonid Ivlev said it did not pose a new threat as the location of US naval forces is known and the range of submarines can be found online.
Another retired lieutenant general called it 'meaningless blather'.
And a Russian security expert told one paper: 'I'm sure Trump didn't really give any orders'.
Trump had said he was ordering submarines to 'appropriate regions' after ex-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said they still had Soviet-era nuke capabilities.
He said: 'Words are very important and can often lead to unintended consequences.'
Trump has said that the US is "totally prepared" for a nuclear war following a slew of threats against America from a Kremlin comrade.
He said: "If some words of the former Russian president [Medvedev] cause such a nervous reaction in the entire, formidable US president, then Russia is right in everything and will continue to go its own way.
"Let him remember his favorite films about the "walking dead", as well as how dangerous a "dead hand" that does not exist in nature can be."
Medvedev may have been referring to Moscow's "Dead Hand" nuclear weapons system, which is designed to launch a doomsday retaliation attack with full nuclear force - even if the Kremlin leadership is wiped out.
He also warned that Russia "isn't Israel or even Iran."
"Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences. I hope this will not be one of those instances. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

In an outburst on Twitter /X, the former Special Forces commando wrote: "Our Capital City of our Christian country needs to be run by a native Brit with generational Christian values, principles and morals coursing through their veins from which our very society was built, thrived and was forged upon." By Middleton's criteria, Winston Churchill, whose mother was born in Brooklyn, Boris Johnson and King Charles would not qualify for high office. Tory MP Ben Obese-Jecty responded on Twitter: "This level of overt racism shows who he really is once he lets the mask slip." He told The Mirror: 'After his starring role as a leading speaker at the Reform party conference last year, Ant Middleton's campaign to be the Mayor of London is increasingly being characterised with dangerous rhetoric that stokes division. "Given his prison sentence for assaulting a police officer and ban from being a company director over £1m in unpaid taxes he shouldn't even pass Reform's vetting process. With Nigel Farage claiming to be tough on crime he should clarify whether he supports the views of his likely candidate to be mayor of our capital; a man who doesn't even live in the country, let alone London.' A Labour Party spokeswoman said: 'These racist comments are completely unacceptable and have no place in our politics or our society. Nigel Farage has shared appearances at Reform UK events with Ant Middleton, but is yet to distance himself from these remarks or clarify whether he condones them. "Farage must urgently confirm that Reform UK will immediately cut all ties with Middleton.' Dubai-based Middleton, who was jailed in 2013 for wounding a male police officer and assaulting a female PC, vowed that if he becomes Mayor he will "prioritise the indigenous people" above all. In June he claimed rumours that Mr Farage was looking elsewhere for a candidate were "incorrect". He said: "We are still very much aligned and no such drifting away has happened. "However I have always voiced an option to run independently which may have been a cause of certain rumours!" He was loudly applauded at Reform's conference in Birmingham last September, when he was presented as an expert in security. Middleton told the audience: 'We are at a very, very important and crucial stage before it teeters into civil unrest, which we want to avoid at all costs, but it's coming. We're on that edge where violence has hit the streets, we've all seen it, I don't need to mention what it is, we've all seen it.' And voicing his support for the party he said: "I know enough about modern day politics to realise that it's not working here in the UK. Hence, the solution is in the title Reform." Last year Mr Farage posted a photo of himself alongside Middleton, who he described as "the big man". And he was snapped alongside Mr Farage and billionaire property tycoon Mr Candy with the White House in the background in January. The TV host was a controversial figure long before his appearance at the event in Birmingham. He was dropped by Channel 4 in March 2021 after tweeting about the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. He moved to Dubai, telling GB News last year that people in the UK are "just stuck in a rut". In 2012 he body-slammed PC Christopher Brooksbank outside a nightclub and assaulted PC Katherine Alison. He was given a 14-month jail sentence the following year. He told The Mirror in 2015: "I was shocked by how I acted. I'm very ashamed of it, hence why I've put it behind me." And he said he had written to both officers to apologise. But he now claims he "never laid a finger on a woman". In March Middleton was banned from being a company director after his firm Sway and Starting failed to pay over £1million in tax. The Insolvency Service said he and wife Emilie were "taking millions of pounds out of" the company when they should have been paying tax. Sway and Starting, which provided media representation services, went into liquidation in 2022. At the time it owed £300,000 in VAT and £800,000 in corporation tax.

President Donald Trump launched a bruising attack on radio host Charlamagne tha God on Truth Social early Sunday morning after The Breakfast Club host suggested the president's devoted base would pivot to a more traditional conservative candidate after the Epstein Files situation. Referring to Charlamagne, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, as a 'racist sleazebag,' Trump claimed the radio host is a 'Low IQ individual' who does not know anything. 'He's a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done,' Trump said before listing his international and domestic successes. The president's comment was made after Charlamagne joined Lara Trump, the president's daughter-in-law, on her Fox News show My View. On the show, Charlamagne said that traditional Republicans would capitalize on the MAGA base's disgruntlement with Trump to change the Republican Party. 'I think there is a political coup going on right now in the Republican Party,' Charlamagne told Lara Trump. 'I think this Epstein thing is going to be a way for traditional conservatives to take their party back.' Charlamagne was referring to the fallout between the president and some members of his base after refusing to release the Epstein Files – information the government collected while investigating convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump did not specify whether or not one specific comment from Charlamagne set him off, but the president's anger toward the radio host was tangible in his Truth Social post. 'The very wonderful and talented Lara Trump, whose show is a big ratings success, put racist sleazebag Charlamagne 'The God' (Why is he allowed to use the word 'GOD' when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?).' Trump, who has repeatedly compared himself to Jesus Christ, wrote. Recently, the president has been sensitive about the Epstein Files situation, occasionally snapping at reporters who ask about it. Trump had promised to release the Epstein Files, which many had speculated contained a list of high-profile individuals associated with Epstein and his alleged decades-long sex trafficking scheme involving girls and women. However, senior officials in the Trump administration poured cold water on the speculation, confirming there was no 'client list' and Epstein died by suicide while in federal jail in 2019. Last month, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump sent Epstein a 'bawdy' birthday letter referencing 'secrets' – however, Trump has also denied that and sued the Journal for libel. While Trump has not been accused of any formal wrongdoing or charged with any crime, his proximity to Epstein, someone he once called a friend, has heightened conspiracy theories that the government is withholding documents that could reveal embarrassing information about high-profile individuals. Appearing in the files also does not indicate that an individual has committed any wrongdoing. Charlamagne maintained that the situation may give traditional conservatives, such as Nikki Haley, the chance to swoop in and appeal to MAGA voters. 'They know that this is the issue that has gotten the base riled up, the MAGA base isn't letting this issue go,' Charlamagne said. 'And for the first time, they know they can probably take their party back and not piss off the MAGA base.'
